This is Guerlain's Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Replace the "cream" in the Edition Blanche with "almond powder". Perfect for summer, and always overspray this one. Very versatile, classy, and fresh. Underrated.
i never tried the new edition blanche edp.. How is the performance on that?
Spot on. Though I feel it's a little dense and not airy enough for hot summer days but perfect for cooler summer nights or spring and fall.

The smell is almost gourmand .It is so delicious. Smells like an expensive french grapefruit marmalade. I immediately buy it after hearing that it was being discontinued. Get it while its cheap!

Blind bought this based on your review. I am very pleased with the purchase. I live in Jamaica, so this is ideal for the all year round warm weather here. It is a lovely scent. I think anyone who likes the smell of Burberry touch or Moschino Uomo, will definitely love this. The dry down is so unique and you will stand out. Oh btw, shout out to Joy Amin, J.Copeland and Brooklyn Fragrance lover reviews also.

I bought this one off of Fragrancenet during the winter also. I thought I was buying the regular Guerlain L'Homme Ideal , when I did received this cologne I was surprised and pleased. I love this fragrance. Good review!!! I agree with the points you made. This scent reminds me of iced lemonade. I am very happy with my mistake purchase.
I agree that this fragrance is a thing of beauty to my nose. I wear it in the summer and also sometimes I wear it to bed just for the hell of it in the cold months. I can quite comfortably pick up 100ml for £35. here in the UK

Hey i just tried this one, It does smell nice. agree with your review... I thought the performance sucked at first, but i think its very deceptive.. I sprayed my inner elbow more than 15 hours ago and i can still smell it.. not just smell it, but its not even fully a skin scent. I can smell it a few inches away.. Its a very soft smell that you can get nose blind to... But it has this iced lemon thing that does project and last... But the smell itself is very soft.. It never fills up a room but it does seem to have this ongoing projection in a bubble
Awesome review, Ashton. I haven't smelled Guerlain L'Homme Ideal but I'm very interested in getting my nose on it. Honestly, I don't even bother to read on all the negativity on fragrantica on fragrance reviews at all. Dior-Sauvage got unanimously hate on fragrantica but it's a great fragrance. I love me some freshies so I want to sample this Guerlain scent now. Many freshies seem to love me back as I don't have a problem with performance on most of my freshies. 👍
My bottle just arrived, its definitely a keeper. Immediately after spraying I got this huge rush of orange, but that fades away after about sixty-seconds. In about ten-minutes it fades into a really nice, sophisticated summer night date cologne. For some reason it smells like something Prada would release. I highly recommend this one. Thanks again for the great reviews!!!
How would you compare this stuff to dior homme cologne? I've been wondering if it's worth getting this one even though I own dhc already. Seems like it might be different enough? Maybe not?

Just popped into my local Fragranceshop to use my 20% discount on a 100ml bottle of Allure Edition Blanche EDP and saw a tester of Gerlain Cologne, gave it 3 sprays about an hour ago and still going well and smells wonderful.
As soon as I got back home I placed an order on Allbeauty UK and managed to get a 100ml for under £29...... even if I get 3 hours out of it I feel for that price it's an absolute winner!!!!!

I think I'll wear this one today. I tried ordering the original L'homme Ideal a couple times and got this instead. I was mad to say the least, especially the 2nd time. But, in the end it smells great, so ultimately worked out. I do like the original a lot more though, one of my favorites.
I like L'Homme Ideal as well. I don't have the EDP yet but the EDT is very nice.

Nice review! Not sure I like it as much as you but I do think it's nice and unique. Performance on my skin actually is pretty good, last about eight hours. I believe I picked up a 50ml for $35 so you can't go wrong with that.
Just got this one today from Fragrancebuy after watching your review. This fragrance is quite horrible. Smells like classic shaving cream or a barber shop. At least I only paid $15.29, but what a waste...No way I'm using this one.

i picked up the last bottle in my area for 85$ 100ml. Opening with alot citrus but it quickly replace with smoothly scent, love it ez to like

I have a brand new bottle 3.3 oz, batch code 5S01. That's May 2015, the same month and year the cologne came out. My question is, is the bottle possibly worth more being one of the original batch codes? How would I know if it is in fact the first actual batch?

Unbelievable sophisticated warm yet fresh bright refined scent . Longevity during Greek HOT summer 2 hours , projection an spillage super weak and just for 30 minutes max after that super close to the skin , but the scent is so so so beautiful unique ! That’s on my skin though
I got this today $40 for 100ml which is a fucking miracle in Australia. Really nice I get a lot of grapefruit in the opening to my nose and I love that. Beautiful and honestly I can’t get anything decent in Oz for $40. Very happy!

Allure Homme Edition Blanche?
I really enjoy both this and Edition Blanche from Chanel but honestly, I don't see a comparison. I mean they are both lemony and creamy but in a different way. Edition Blanche is a master piece and one of best fragrances ever created. Only problem is it costs 5+ times more to get a small bottle of Edition Blanche. I just bought this Guerlain bottle and will probably buy a back up bottle or two.
Got the EDP. Took a few wears to smell it properly now I love it. I woke up n the middle of the dry down and the creaminess on my skin blew my mind. Just found a bottle of the cologne here in Japan. Should be here tomorrow. Can’t wait!

I honestly haven't smelled the new DHS enough to have an opinion yet. I only briefly tried it out in a Macys in Chicago.

I just ordered this for $35 shipped for a 100ml bottle from fragrancex. I still have an ounce left in my 100ml edt but i also have a 150ml bottle waiting. This cologne version will get me through spring/summer without having to use up my edt concentration.

Much better than the sport one. Citrus and that almond makes it special. Same as many others but then again, not. Has that unique vibe. Heard somewhere that this is is continued or soon will be. I really hope not.

Ashton I own this one and agree. I think it almost leans dated but it manages to stay modern. I watched videos on all the haters of this one and I didn't understand it. The only one that gave it a great review was J Copeland.
Is this more or less sophisticated than Axe Twist? Just in general without getting into individual Axe batch codes.
Hahaha, it's 93.72% more sophisticated than Axe Twist with a margin of error of .2%.
Gents Scents ok you are wayyy off. I actually found that it is 96.76% more sophisticated than Twist. With a error margin around +/- .3
Maybe you weren't comparing it to the Twist reformulation like I was....

hey community! Would your recommend this juice for an all-round summer fragrance? i am looking for a fragrance that is not super heavy, especially in high temperatures? Since my nose is very sensitive it doesn't have to last for half a day (i get bored of the scent). Currently i use YSL L'homme (office) and La nuit. (winter+dates). I'm 30 and looking for a summer fragrance that is not heavy, it's fresh, and i don'T mind compliments either. Any response will be appreciated!

I bought 1 50ml to try it out and it arrived today and I love it idk what took me so long to pull the trigger on it but now the 100ml bottles are all sold out bc of it being discontinued so I had to buy 2 more 50ml bottles that will definitely keep as long as possible
Did the same and arrived today. Doesn't last more than an hour and barely a skin scent... Almond creaminess is basically nonexistent and is just grapefruity fresh for 30 min then dies. Batch code 5x01, definitely both 100% genuine

i like it a lot. but never bought it, for some reason. have the edt, which i love, that amaretto accord is to die for, but performance is its achilles' heel. and the edp has even suckier performance.

What your take on guerlain l'homme l'eau boisée?
Very pleasant smell on this one. I can see some similarities with edition blanche, but this is more powdery and dry, and the sweetness is more masculine.
Love that amaretto note, pity the parfum is not available more readily in the US. The EDT performance is not that good
Yeah I'm still trying to find the EDP at a decent price.
Got to try all 3 concentrations when i flew through Amsterdam.... love the cherry amaretto balance on the EDP. Regret not picking it back then.

This is a very nice and versatile fragrance. While it's marketed as being a Cologne in name, it is actually an EDT. The Ideal EDP is a masterpiece. By the way, I purchased Versace Man after watching the review with your spouse and I really like it. I find myself generally agreeing with your spot-on reviews.
