  • We are Mark & Rad a travel couple based out of South Carolina, in this video we went to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park in the Pacific Northwest.
    This was one of the most beautiful hikes in Washington, the views are spectacular. Hurricane Ridge gets its name from the Hurricane speed winds that are often seen, the winds can exceed 75mph. There are several trails to hike here and all are beautiful with views of the valley below and adjacent mountains. Located just 20 minutes from Port Angeles Washington it is very convenient to hike Hurricane Ridge then head into town for a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants found there. If you have any questions about this area or travel tips leave a comment below. If you visit Olympic National Park this should definitely be on your to do list, it truly is beautiful and as we made this video it felt surreal to know we have been to this beautiful location in one of the most diverse National Parks in the country. Be sure to check out our other videos for Olympic National Park and we hope our videos help you plan your trip by showing you what we did and we hope you enjoy. Thank you!!

      Thank you Eshaan! Wish we could have finished that hike but it was a very steep climb to the top and the snow made it hard….and there was a steep cliff, but we still had fun

    Awesome! Did you guys had to use chains on your tires before going up the road?

    • @MarkandRad
      @MarkandRad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The road was actually clear, just the actual trails had snow. Hurricane Ridge was amazing though.

      @@MarkandRad I'm going to Olympic by the end of the month and all the information I found said chains were needed, glad to hear it was fairly clear tho! Many thanks for sharing!

      @@InfructuosaFelicidad yes if you go now, they most definitely will be, this was filmed back in June. Also be sure to bring good footwear as the trails will be covered in snow. But the views are beautiful. Also check out Hoh Rainforest, it is beautiful. We made a video about that also. Where are you guys staying when visiting? We stayed in Forks, however Port Angeles is another great area. We hope you love Olympic National Park as much as we did.

      @@MarkandRad All the views around the area are just gorgeous! We are staying in Seattle but we are taking a full day to explore Olympic. Sadly the Sol Duc area is closed, but we most definitely are passing by Port Angeles, Elwha river, Marymer falls , Hoh Rain Forest (great video btw!) and Kalaloch Beach. I think we certainly will!

    • @MarkandRad
      @MarkandRad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow you have a very very full day! That sounds amazing and I hope the weather is good for you. Thank for for the compliment on Hoh, it means more than you know and we appreciate you. We will also be finishing the video for Kalaloch, Ruby and Quileute Beach. If you go to Kalaloch check out the tree of life. You guys are going to have so much fun.

    do you know if theres a alltrails for this hike?

    • @MarkandRad
      @MarkandRad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is AllTrails for this park. However download the app “National Parks”, it is a great resource as well. But we recommend the first of July when all the snow is melted for the best experience. But this is a beautiful place and you will love it either way. Also be sure to check our videos for Beaches and Hoh rainforest if you are going to be in the area. 😊

      Patagonia and we highly recommend them. They are super light and keep you really warm.
