I have the same bike. Got about 30 hours on it. Only issue of any kind ive had was i tipped over while turning around on a hill. Foot slipped on a rock when i stopped to do the turn. Highsided and the bike hit the ground with the left side down. The shifter went through the stator case. I replaced it with a GYTR unit thats much stronger. Watch out for that if you crash on the left side lol.
Revs equal rebuilds it just does, 450 is killer longterm for maintenance and you just don't have to rev it like 350 to get that power and drive . 350s ive ridden feel like the timing advance gets advanced pretty hard to get closer to 450 torque. Another stress on the 350 the timing advancement then Revs Per Minute rpm its just why the rebuild maintenance has to be more frequent . Hand Grenade like 350 left that chat and costly otherwise like 250 if not refreshed frequently compared to 450 woods bike . Then there is Quality control in Manufacturing , thats another ktmhuskgas story haha altogether but yeah. Great Bike man hey Ready to Race actually stock or the most ready as stated by the Likes of Daniel Milner years ago now, Stew Baylor in i want to say 2022. Smoed then all on that platform 350 450s 3002ts Yewww.
Thanks. I've honestly stopped using the mapping option and only use the slider. I'm sure you know you can use the slider to get close and then go into the mapping and make slight tweaks from there as well.
I have 25 hours on my 2024 YZ450FX, I agree with everything you said but my 2022 KTM 350 XCF weighs 240.5 and my FX weighs 258.5 fully loaded (bibs, steering damper , fan) , you can feel that weight in the tight woods, thanks for the tip on the fuel boiling! I have a 20 mile first gear loop here in CA and I noticed weird behavior when the fuel got low, the bike would flame out and the light kept coming on! Maybe adding a thermal blanket under the tank would help! I really enjoy your reviews!
Thank you! Yeah, I'll take a small bore bike or a 2-stroke for that real tight woods. Haha. Yeah, next time you notice it getting hot and you're lower on fuel pop the cap open and see if it's boiling. I do plan to put some kind of thermal barrier under the tank when I check the valves and have the tank off.
Me either to be honest. That’s why I bought a cheap one to try out. I noticed the difference in the real tight single track at slow speeds the most. Just seemed harder to get the rear wheel spinning. Felt like I had an anchor out back.

I really enjoyed this review. Just curious if you have any maps to share or are you just using the slider?

Never heard of sprocket material mattering for stalling? Just saying the inertia difference? Seems like steel would be better, in that case.

@ that is hard to comprehend. I believe you…but weird
Do you still have your 350
No. Sold it a couple of weeks ago.
