Love doing my own exhaust work as well but for the amount of money spent on all the adapters and clamps you could have had some body weld it all cheaper, (here anyways) but you could also have got smaller mufflers that wouldnt have needed all the adapters. Cherry bomb and thrush make several different sizes. But it still works thats the main thing. And here you could have got these same ones for 35 at the store with no shipping fee. But good job though, you made it work, that's all that matters in the end. But I do agree with putting turn downs, when you have a loud/aggressive/thumping sounding exhaust, having it point at the ground to bounce off with really make it rumble. Thats how I have my 78 f150. One loud ass truck, and bouncing off the ground, it gets attention just from starting it without any revs. So adding turn downs would really add to it.

Many of the 5.7 trucks have duals into the muffler. They run from each side of motor through their own cats.. so yes true dual... unless you have a single cat. Then it y pipes to that cat. I've seen 90s chevys both ways stock.

If you're keeping it that buy yourself some turn down tips. Had an issue with exhaust going into the cab so i put turn down tips on and no more issues
