Your voice is such a splendid blend with this song. Chances are you could do justice to any Leonard Cohen song. I put you in the same category as both he and Tom Waits. My favs!
One of the best songs ever, by one my new favourite singers. In my opinion you are up there with the best, in both performance and your own songs. I bet Cohen's, What Happens To The Heart, would be magical in your voice.
I have called your voice buttery. This is absolutely breathtaking! I do not say I am a fan of many, but I am your fan and want the greatest of success for you!
Your Voice is breathtaking, it merges so softly and so unexpected with the music. can't wait to see you live for the first time next Sept 13. Greetings from Mexico
Beautiful rendition, Sean. I'll bet you could do a whole album of LCohen covers. Your interpretation is faithful to the original and yet uniquely your own with your phrasing and end vocals.
All of your new songs are amazing! Birds is my favorite, so far. You’re so honest in your writing. This..One of my favorite songwriters (you) singing my favorite song of all time by my favorite songwriter of all time.😂Wow. This is absolutely epic, Sean. You may be the only singer who captured the feeling, his inflection and tone in the letter (song). L.Cohen would be honored by this. Thank you! P.s. I ve listened to Flying and Let it Die waaaaaay to many times this week😂❤️❤️❤️🥰. Thank you for your words and voice! They find me. Also.. The Salmon..one of the greatest songs ever. K I will shut up now. Love to you n your’n.
For me it's so important that there are artists like you today, it makes these years ( I have discovered you 5-6 years ago) of my life more real somehow. When I was in my teens ( and I know it's like that for many people) there were certain discoveries in music, certain preachers in the best possible way, the ones that you seek and except fully, the ones that mirrror some parts of your existence, of The existence that you become aware you are a part of; and these people become important, become parts of your life... One of them was Leonard Cohen for me. I still listen to him ( I will be 50 this august). And it's not for nostalgia only, I keep finding new things in his work as I grow older. But there are not many discoveries of new artists that I can feel the same deep feeling for in these years of my life. Maybe it's true that as we grow older we find it harder to except new things, but also there's so much noise around us in every possible sense and this makes us distracted, sometimes even cold and sleepy, I try not to get lost in it all and make my choices.....For me, you are, besides another artist, Silvia Perez Cruz from Spain, that discovery in my new, more peaceful and more grateful, youth. Thank you so much. A big hug from Ana from Serbia ❤
wow i love that! Thank you Ana! i really do feel that the best of songwriting is when you can tap into something universal, distill the emotional landscape with all of our flawed humanness...in just a few words. Cohen's songs definitely do that for me. If i can do that for someone in my own work, then i feel like i'm on the right track!

So much emotion in every note, every word, every gesture. Quite unique! Somewhere between Curt Cobain unplugged and Maria Callas 🧐
Thank you!!
Great performance as usual!
Bravo! 👏👏👏
Beautifully sung
Great version of a great song, and the setting is perfect, the water running through the cave as your voice echoes... amazing.
Thank you very much!
Spectacular interpretation! How long does it take to prepare this version?
I haven't heard you sing this in many many years!
it's been a VERY long time but this cave was calling me...
Outstanding rendition of Cohens letter to himself.
Wow, this is hauntingly beautiful, and somehow you've made it your own while staying faithful to the great man. Thank you for this 🙏
Any chance of these songs making it to streaming?
at some point yep
