Can’t please all you long distance and travel cyclists hey 😂 Tim & I love Rutland for something different to do, to be near water and for a pootle on our MTB’s then spend some time there. £10 parking to be fair is on par as some very popular seaside locations eg Norfolk and cities 🤷🏽♀️ Personally I think Rutland is also a great place for new cyclists or even cyclists with not a lot of confidence is a great start. Depends what you want from your cycling I suppose. A ride and a walk with a picnic, lovely day. Up Rutland 🙌🏻 hope you’re keeping well Tom. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi Geraldine, keeping well thanks :) This was my first time there, liked bits of it but did not like the temp surface. Overall a nice ride and lovely seeing the place so busy at the end of the ride, loads of family's out playing games and walking. £10 for parking is fine but I know a few who will grumble, I will be taking my family when we are down that way next as my Mrs will love it there.
£10 is expensive but that's me just being cheap, I did save money as I was going to do the Rebellion Way that weekend (well parts of it) but that got blown out of the water :) Will have to wait until Sept/Oct now for that.

I do enjoy a nice cycle around Rutland water, especially if the Horse and Jockey in Manton is open for some refreshments.
Looked like a nice place when I went past, busy If I remember right.

Nicely done video, 10quid for the day is OK I suppose, it's a lot of infrastructure to support .. I mean all those gates 😂
