I transferred everything, but when I try to load the saved data in game (ff7 remake) it says “please make sure to first upload your data from upload save data in the PlayStation 4 version of the game.) what am I not doing? --Never mind I figured it out lol. Connect your PS5 With LAN cable in the same TV and your PS4 with Wi-Fi internet connection and you will see both Systems will running so fast 6 hrs only to transfer your games

I tried doing the external hard drive part with GTA 5. I moved my PS4 data to the external hard drive and put it in the ps5. Long story short, I lost the game save data. It didn’t come up on my ps5 but the trophy progress was there. I don’t know if I didn’t something wrong or what not, but I went back to the PS4 and now that saved data can’t be read.. I was a little frustrated with that. Even my Call of duty campaign. Nothing transferred over 😔

New tv for my ps5 so I bought a game for the ps4 to wait but then then I bought the tv then my father wanted to set it up on the tv that’s downstairs (it’s good I just wanted good quality) so then yeah and I did the all the data transfer things then the game came after I set the ps5 and before I put it into my ps5 and I keep on doing data transfer but it won’t transfer the game so I don’t know what to do
So does this mean that if i completed a disc game 100% on my ps4 and then data transfer does that mean that it will still be 100% complete on the ps5 and same with digitaly purchased games

Not a problem though, I just used an LAN cable for that. And I purposely excluded trophy data, so hopefully I can re-earn those trophies when I replay the games ;)

Bit of a silly and late question, but the transferring saved games and data bit, if I have the original ps4 disc, do I have to transfer them, or can I just pop the disc in and go from there? I'm transferring games that I bought over the network, that's no issue, but it's being a bit of a pig and I don't know if it'll be worth the trouble right this moment.

plug the ps5 into the tv. when ready to transfer you turn the ps4 on, navigate on the ps5 to system and transfer, then itll give you instructions to hold your ps4 power button for 1 second after both consoles established a connection. you dont need to see the screen of your ps4 at any point. if you wanna watch the process on the ps4 for whatever reason you can plug the ps4 into a laptop and use screen play, or what i did is plug both into my tv and just switch between hdmi 1 and 2 every 30 seconds but quickly realized you dont need to do that, from start to finish the only time you interect with the ps4 is pressing the power to turn it on then again when your ps5 tells you to.

You answered your own question - You have 2 different accounts. You need to cloud sync the accounts them load them onto your PS - That will pull over the save states and trophies like I show in the video.
I did this process without having to purchase a LAN Cable and only took about 5 mins for 6 games with data to transfer... unless you are VERY impatient just do what he says without the LAN.. ❤😮

On our ps4 we have a user account that i use to play split screen with my son. The account I use is NOT a ps plus account. My son uses the ps plus account so I just sign in with the non ps plus account. I know we can transfer the main ps plus account from ps4 to ps5 which we have but now I need to transfer the non ps plus account so I have my file with all my characters and saves from the games I've played with him on split screen. Yeah i was thinking on just transferring my saved game data and re install all the games I'll be playing since most of them are PS4 disc games.

Whenever it's done you should be good to remove it. If anything does happen you can download your save files again from the cloud. Hope this helps!

Each time you play same game on both consoles, it will suspend it on the other console. You will need to keep syncing your data.
When you transfer your data it makes a copy. All your games should still work.
So I had an error happen when I was doing the data transfer..... lost EVERYTHING

Um, I have TWO-TB worth of stuff on my PS4 - ain't no way it's all transferring over to PS5's pathetic 700GB hard-drive. You NEED an external drive.

Smaller games will work fine BUT CoD and Apex are big GB hogs ha ha ha... cable helps with those types of things.

Cloud storage automatically saves your PS4 data but if you want the most accurate recent saves then yes do it directly.
So I've sold my ps4 but all my saves are on the cloud. My question is once I upload all my saves on the ps5, will it transfer my DLC that comes with some of the games?

Maybe you could try again after a few days or you could do what I did. I also don’t have ps plus, so I don’t know if the cloud storage thing transfers your data.

That stinks. You can do it blind or hopefully you cloud synced everything and you can re-download it. Or if you have it on an external ( do that )

On our ps4 we have a user account that i use to play split screen with my son. The account I use is NOT a ps plus account. My son uses the ps plus account so I just sign in with the non ps plus account. I know we can transfer the main ps plus account from ps4 to ps5 which we have but now I need to transfer the non ps plus account so I have my file with all my characters and saves from the games I've played with him on split screen. So far I've had no luck its starting to scare make me think I won't be able to transfer the non ps plus user account. Thanks for any and all advice! Im good at working and fixing stuff like this. I'm far out of my super Nintendo and n64 days, I'm out of my element lol. I'm a 90s kid so this stuff is way over my head!
just sync all accounts to the cloud and you should be good :)

Bro every time I log in to ps5 the only option I see is sign in doesn’t give me the option to transfer my ps4 data to ps5
Go to System PS5 data transfer and automatically will transfer after and connected your pS4 in the same TV with LAN cable only and the PS5 with your WiFi networks and systems both running so fast to transfer your games 😉
You'll need to sign in first so that the PS5 knows who you are and which data is yours.

Noo Connected your PS5 LAN cable in the same TV and your PS4 with Wi-Fi internet connection and both the systems will running so fast I have the same problem before but I find it myself now 6 hrs left to transfer the games of my PS4

That's right. You can also download the data from the store and the cloud. Or use a USB cable to connect them.

Thanks god it took me 6 hours tying to just do this now i see this video omg so easy but it only take 80 minutes download my game which that is faster then normal it got 5 games to download and most of them have a lot of GB so it a bit weird is fast can someone tell me why or is it just normal?
