My mom took me on this ride when I was 3 which left me traumatized. 15 years later, I hopefully will be able to get on the ride and not be left traumatized

Was just on this ride today and the drop was not as bad as I remember it being so If your scared of the drop don’t be it goes by really quick and I’m afraid of roller coasters and this didn’t scare me at all so face your fears because this ride is a blast 🥰

I think it depends on how heavy your log is. I just came back and I rode it 3 times. Once with a full log and we all got soaked, and twice alone with the log to myself and I stayed pretty much dry. At least thats my theory because I only see people drenched or bone dry haha
OMG the nostalgia and memories! I rode this as a 6 or 7 year old last so many years ago in 1996 or 1997. I remember my 📸 on the ride I looked sick to my stomach and not enjoying the drop LOL 😅
As someone who was used to the Orlando version, I went on this last week and was TOTALLY unprepared for that drop in the dark. I got soaked with that one.
They need at least six-nine months to close the ride so they can replace the audio animatronics with screens. It will save the Disney Corporation tons of money to use screens rather than having singing robots---they might leave some robots around, but this is a marketing move for Princess and a move to save themselves dollars.
@@awfawf4546 They aren't gonna use screens, I already know some of the plans for the ride, Disney will keep on using the animatrinics already in the attraction and repurpose other's as well so don't worry!
I'm just thinking how funny it would be if someone randomly installed an Uncle Remus animatronic towards the end of the ride that give a big hearty laugh. I would love to see people's reactions to that.

@@DesiresMedia Don't forget that Indiana Jones has a random computed system. But it has not been working for a few years now. Not sure what happened to it. So instead, every next day the jeeps will go faster. Then the next day the jeeps will go at normal speed. This is a very bad error that the Disney Imagineers need to fix. But it seems they don't really care at this point.
I don’t think the lighting effects were completely out I think the lights were just very very dim, or maybe the camera was making the lighting look weird

This ride is so nostalgic because as a wee little lad i liked to go on the ride a lot i remember after i finished i would want to go back in line again and again and gain you get the point...........NOW AS A 13 YEAR OLD IT WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. when i went i wanted to go on the front BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I rode this twice in a row with some of my friends and I was sitting in the second row. My best friend was in the first row and we got drenched and we rode it at night so we were very cold.
When my sister in law was around 8 YO, she was at the front of the boat, and I was at the back. @8:14 she got scared and stood up and started climbing back towards me. I grabbed her just as we started down the falls. I scolded her and told he she could have been killed.
i went to Disneyland like two weeks ago for my birthday and when i saw splash mountain i was so sad to see no water and some scaffolding like construction at the top of the last drop and made me almost want to cry or at least tear up one drop #savesplashmountain
I must admit, this version isn’t that good. But I understand that many people love this ride. It still seems like this would fit more for a tiana ride, but it’s splash mountain, and that will always be the best.

I must admit, this version isn’t that good. But I understand that many people love this ride. It still seems like this would fit more for a tiana ride, but it’s splash mountain, and that will always be the best.
