I think it depends on how heavy your log is. I just came back and I rode it 3 times. Once with a full log and we all got soaked, and twice alone with the log to myself and I stayed pretty much dry. At least thats my theory because I only see people drenched or bone dry haha
I hope it stays the same. I read about Disney's idea to change it and it devastated me. Everything about Splash Mountain is amazing and beloved. It was bad enough that they got rid of Paradise Pier and A Bugs Land. If they get rid of Splash Mountain, I might never go to Disneyland again. #savesplashmountain

it may be beloved but the fact that it’s based off of song of the south is just pretty unforgivable. a proper retheming is needed to be done. i have to admit i love all the old style animatronics so if they could give new skins to those that would make me happy, but I very much understand why this ride should be one to be changed
I love this ride and I haven’t been to Disneyland since they built Galaxy’s Edge. I have no idea when I’m going back, I just hope it’s in time to ride this before they change it. ❤️❤️❤️
Was just on this ride today and the drop was not as bad as I remember it being so If your scared of the drop don’t be it goes by really quick and I’m afraid of roller coasters and this didn’t scare me at all so face your fears because this ride is a blast 🥰
I was there too! But I didn't go on it because I'm afraid of the drop. I'l be going with my mom again by the end of this month :) I think i'll definitely consider it next time.

I'm just thinking how funny it would be if someone randomly installed an Uncle Remus animatronic towards the end of the ride that give a big hearty laugh. I would love to see people's reactions to that.
As someone who was used to the Orlando version, I went on this last week and was TOTALLY unprepared for that drop in the dark. I got soaked with that one.
They need at least six-nine months to close the ride so they can replace the audio animatronics with screens. It will save the Disney Corporation tons of money to use screens rather than having singing robots---they might leave some robots around, but this is a marketing move for Princess and a move to save themselves dollars.
@@awfawf4546 They aren't gonna use screens, I already know some of the plans for the ride, Disney will keep on using the animatrinics already in the attraction and repurpose other's as well so don't worry!

To be honest, the ride distances itself from the film in a way, they took out uncle remus and the “tar baby” and most if not all the characters in splash weren’t even from song of the south but from America sings, the whole reason why splash was green-lit in the first place

Honestly, Splash mountain is one of the best roller-coasters at Disneyland, It’s recommended to go there, Really fun, And a very wet ride💟

This ride is clearly out of the Song of the South
However Florida's gives it a better less movie music feeling and more of Southern story
