- New York's Tamar Korn brought her band to San Francisco in August 2012. They got together with guitarist Dave Ricketts and accordionist Rob Reich of Gaucho to record this song at our office.

of course I could listen to Tamar Korn from now till the cows come home...sweet sound, instinctive musicality among the players. But real thumbs up for the stylish filming, contre jour and all, great work..
This set and the set Tamar and the new york boys did with the brilliant craig ventresco would make a great "live" cd..wouldnt it.? Id buy it!

I grew up hearing Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys - Hank Thompson oj vocals - doing this song. I always thought it was something of a signature song for them to illustrate Western Swing. BUT - BUT - you guys have made it your own with a terrific interpretation.
This was a popular early jazz standard before it became a Western Swing standard after Bob Wills recorded his version in 1935. It was written by James P. Johnson and Cecil Mack in 1923. It's still a trad jazz/Dixieland standard.
Barbara Dane's version--the best of all. This from @1959. Ignore the annoying fire siren gimmick that bookends the cut.
