Just found out apparently you can't use 2 Death's verdicts anymore in Wrath Classic. Not sure how Abom Jar is now or another option. Classic Wrath keeps changing stuff.
Jar is not an option for Preg for sure! Jar scales with weapon damage and you are using 1h weap wich has much less base dmg than shadowmourne. But it also scales with attack speed i guess, who knows im not sure what will be "BIS". And big factor is if there is internal CD of proc og trinket
Nice, but as preg vs rogue its better after kidney>hof>rep before u put dot on him beacuse later on rep is useless, heal up on rep if he trinket hoj and he losed, if not u are full hp no Def cd wasted and u can cast exorcism when he is still in rep saving one aow proc for heal.
I destroy rogues as Retribution they just cant hurt me as fast enough nor they can't get away. I think a rogue going after any paladin is probably suicide.
Hey man i have a question, since preg pala has reckoning talent, cant we use seal of justice against casters for the 2 sec stun effect? I mean at least 1 out of 4 swings will definitely stun the enemy caster(i hope so), its not about the stun duration, i know 2 secs are nothing, the main goal here is to stop him right on spot and give him a hard time escaping us and in that way we don't have to chase him 24/7 and if u are lucky enough 2, 3 or even all of those 4 swings could stun and keep him on spot that means at least 1 or 2 sec additional time for us and additional hits. As ret pala u can just DS and cancel priests or mages protective barriers and judgment on them right after that, but since preg is using 1h+shield and not a 2h weapon, we dont have such powerfull abilities to break their barriers, so what do we do in such cases? There must be some way.
Hey man, not trying to teach you or anything, but against a warrior above 5.5k gear wouldn't it be better if you cast retri aura to turn back some damage at him because warriors with that gs are 100% arp capped, so devo aura isn't helping at all in this situation, or I'm wrong?
@NibbaiWotlk well I have never played warrior, so I have no idea at what gear are they arp capped, so at what gs they are arp capped? And for example if a Warr has a 90 or 95% arp does devo aura helps?

Second question is, Reckoning talent on PREG pala build. It has never proc for me. Its really rare to proc. Is it worth having it? Or its better to replace with something else?
Ah, not really because you will need to go for retribution talents first to get Art of war and Judgements as soon as possible, then you go for Protection talents :(
I always pick blessing of sanctuary because the 3% damage reduction is nice against casters and you still get your 10% increase in str and stamina, which are the main stats for preg (str gives you more block and SoR damage and stam is always nice for survival, plus some mana on block). I found 2% less reckon chance to be insignificant because you're subject to rng anyways, the most important thing for preg is having a spellpower weapon with fastest attack speed possible (ideally 1.6, no more than 1.8) because you will proc AoW almost every 3-5 seconds which means more instant flash and the ocassional exorcism burst. Overall don't rely too much on reckoning, it helps but will not win the day for you.
The problem is, all casters in this game have some kind of castable spammable CC Poly, hex, fear, cyclone Against melee classes, the caster has to be scared of getting kicked or bursted or immuned, so they can’t freely cast this ability or they die, they have to try really hard to fake cast And even when they get the ability off, all other melee classes have a way to get out or resist that isn’t just trinket. DK AMS, feral berserk, rogue cloak, warrior fear break or spell reflect. Ret paladin has none of this. Zero. Casters can freely cc you whenever they want the moment you get too close and there’s nothing you can do about it except waste your rep which is a long cooldown and usually you have to use it to even connect, or your stun (which mages don’t care about and shamans can ground and even warlocks can blanket silence you to cover their fear cast. This combined with predictable movement, and all your heals/cooldowns being purge able (which every caster in the game has except boomkin) AND the fact that you rely on fighting for art of war heals, and your armor to keep you alive (both of which don’t work against casters because you can’t hit them, and armor doesn’t work against magic) means that you are a complete non-threat to casters. In a fair 1v1 against any caster in the game who has a basic understanding of wow, you have 0 chance. It’s not out playable, there’s no magic strategy, it’s just a simple 0% chance of victory. It’s one of the hardest counters I’ve ever experienced in wow and I play every class
Hey mate, its not important which one u use by default. If you run to some caster both devotion and ret are pretty useless. You have to switch them, but if i have to choose ill go with devotion for 6% more heal if you chose that talent, but as i say you have to switch them always
preg paladin is better for arena than ret. better survival better healing, ok less dps but with double dps dps is enough. play with unholy dk or hunter.
Very cool guide. Two things I don't understand tho. Why wouldn't someone go for the "Pursuit" talent (15% move speed is a big deal imo). Secondly I don't think you can use Divine Protection on allies, only yourself.
Man why take BoK instead of BoS which increases your strengths and spell power(cuz of sheet of light talent) and even gives 3% reduced to all damage and gives some chance to regen some mana? Whats wrong with using BoS? How is BoK better? Or its just your preferance?

I did mining and herbalism. You farm it and then sell on auction hause, with that gold you go on warmane slite and see prices (for example 30k gold is 10coin) and u set your price and wait for someone to buy it

Wasn't there a holy prot build that was brokenly unkillable in Wrath. 19/51/0 or something. I've been trying to find but any old 2009 talent spec links on mmo champ etc are long since broken.
That was fun to watch. But if you're talking best 1v1 melee only class though surely it's tanky blood dk? (with points in unholy for pet) Also prot war full resil / stam is crazy in BGs with their insane survivability, ever tried it? It's great fun.
I havent tried it, but ill definetly try full resil stamina warr. Therenis no way Blood Dk with Uh talents can beat Preg pala. To beat preg you need to have A LOT A LOT of dmg, because he heals a lot..
I can fight any caster with Preg, locks, boomies, Ele shamans, shadow priest l, izi, but when a frost mage gets me it's GGWp, they spell steal anything, I'm obsessed with this spec and my 6.2 Preg is so fun, I even play RDF HC as Preg, with the tank set, instead of the PvP set and with a slightly modified prot build, insane DPS, often first 😂😂 Baulbe of true blood and the healer libram really help alot Vs casters
I think mages are hard counters to almost any melee class except rogue and Death knight since Death knight has range and can also pull the mage to them.
@@michaelmichaelagnew8503 only choice as Ret/Preg is to have high resiliance, Ret is better versus casters, because of the better burst, you could also sacrifice some damage, there's an Onixia ring that gives you +30 to all resistances and Sindragosas cruel claw + corroded key, that will make you extremely tanky, you could also use some pieces of the Icebane armour from blacksmithing, rendering them useless, it's resist most of the time 😂 it's gonna be a battle of attrition
I have a feeling shocking ppl will make your team freak out on you for being the wrong spec because holly is so amazing. I’ll try it on prepatch but ret and preg seems stronger.

Got 2 questions though, why you go reduced Mana cost over parry rating in the retri tree on the first 5 poins you spent. And also I really would like to see how you would approach on casters with this build, eigther 1v1 or 2v2. Otherwise keep up your good work, I like your vids. Nice pvp skills👍🏼
Actually good first question, you can go perry for duelimg, but in arena enviroment you will need mana talent more. I said in video that you cant beat ANY caster if he is average player and thats it, thats why i didnt post any duel with them
Go to key bindings, bind shift+5 on your W(going forward) and bind again W. That way you will unbind that switching pannels. Do that for every key that doesnt work, that means there is already some action binded on that button
@Nibbai full protection satisfies me a lot more. 10k HoR crits, bursty, very tanky, 3sec silence and daze, 6 sec stun every 30 sec, 1,6s strenght mace and switching to SoL you heal more than AoW proc. Icy chill weapon, 30y daze, HoF &burst to better counter ranged than preg. A full prote guide would be' really appreciated!!!
Full prot tree, retri tree to 3/3 crusade. 5,3k gs very far from BiS and i see 9k crits holy shield, 8k crits SoR.. No attack power, but full str for spell power bonus. Infinite mana with infinite divine plea unless purged. Main seal SoV, SoL for defense auto heal. Won some 4v1 vs melees in Bg and i'm not pro as you. Until you keep yourself in melee hitting almost unkillable. 100% of the time pushing different buttons(more than full retri) ;)

Lol melee class refuse to get +15% movespeed (stackable with enchant +8%) and -50% disarm, but get Vindication 2/2 and Eye for an eye. Strange things happen on free shards...
You could start by learning how your class works before giving advice. Pursuit of Justice's increased speed does not stack with the enchant. 23% passive speed? XD rly?

Author of video dont even know how paladin skills work and advising to use Divine protection on teammates I can be wrong with some things, 12 years passed. But i dont create guides. lol so this class is only good against melee classes and maybe hunters since he said himself that it can't kill a casting class. Like to see how this build plays out on a live server instead of a private server it was invented on.
the only difference for preg bg pvp is taking 2 points of of imp hoj and putting it into 5/5 reckoning. otherwise just hit stuff and keep sacred shield up and hang around at least one other person in case you run into a ranged :p

yeah, I did POS Heroic in preg spec with tank items, it is okay, but it lacks AOE threat hold so you gotta be careful and use the RS properly.

Maybe this build doesn't need the move speed because it can't beat casters anyway. And melee aren't running away
@@nevill2947 Rogues try and run away. I crush them all the time as ret and that 15% movement speed helps.

Easily. If you are on same gear no prob. Maybe only 100% arp would be little tricky. But you have to go full defensive on start and thats it

hi all, and thanks nibbai for that good video. I tried your healing Makro but Its not working, when I klick it with my mouse it works but when I try to use my shortcut it won't heal party member 2 or 3 :( maybe some1 can help ? :)
Lol melee class refuse to get +15% movespeed (stackable with enchant +8%) and -50% disarm, but get Vindication 2/2 and Eye for an eye. Strange things happen on free shards...
Since i made it just to face melee enemies its ok. U wont win any caster with or without vindication and EfE.
@@NibbaiWotlk movespeed for kiting melees under JoJ. U have about ~120% movespeed, they have 100%
You could start by learning how your class works before giving advice. Pursuit of Justice's increased speed does not stack with the enchant. 23% passive speed? XD rly?
@@allbundy432 1. U play on free shard, i played on retail in 2008-2010
2. Movespeed stackable with diminishing, so i don't remember the actual value
3. Author of video dont even know how paladin skills work and advising to use Divine protection on teammates

I played in 2008-2010 wotlk, since 2007 beta. Even in the beta, speed enchant doesnt stacks whit Pursuit of Justice.

lol so this class is only good against melee classes and maybe hunters since he said himself that it can't kill a casting class. Like to see how this build plays out on a live server instead of a private server it was invented on.
Then ask the high rated players in 2v2 on LIVE. It absolutely works.

the only difference for preg bg pvp is taking 2 points of of imp hoj and putting it into 5/5 reckoning. otherwise just hit stuff and keep sacred shield up and hang around at least one other person in case you run into a ranged :p

Horrible 2v2 spec... decent 3v3 spec... useless 5v5 spec. Overall fun but MEH on getting anywhere in the ladder.
Excelent 2v2 spec,decent 3v3 spec. In 2s its better than ret in most cases. Excelent with Hunt,Enha for climbing serious ratings on 3.3.5
