I only use the iphone because it has IOS,that is really better than Android,i had a phone with android,and it lagged a lot.
I honestly don't think that amount of force would ever be replicated in a typical use-case scenario, throughout the entire life of the phone.
People have their phones in their pockets all the time and unfortunately don't get to pick when its convenient to fall down. It be nice to have piece of mind that the phone can take the hit.

I think the bend test are pointless. Only people who are ruff with their phones bend them. I've had every iPhone that was made. Haven't bent 1 nor cracked any screens. P.S. buy otter box or some kinda protective case. Shouldn't bend if you take care of your phone.

suggestion...i'm curious to see how much force / weight can it withstand...you could rig something up...placing the opposite edges of the phone on a platform...like suspending it horizontally between two stools then looping something like a rope around the middle then placing a luggage scale under it and you could add weight under the scale to see how much weight before it starts to bend...just my 2 cents

I have the iPhone 6s and I was lucky to even get one. Then five months later come to find out my battery swelled up. Apple was nice enough to offer me a new one. They said that it rarely happens and I just got unlucky. My phone was dying at 70, 40, 30% basically random times. I'm getting a new one today.

I had a friend with the iphone 5s and I had the galaxy s4, my friends WiFi button on his first 5s grayed out but he never dropped it, and his second 5s overcharged and the battery expanded and later caught fire, yet my Samsung is still working perfectly after 4 years

I've had the iPhone 6 ever since November of 2014. I've dropped it a few time with no case on it, but the screen is in practically perfect condition. It has no cracks or spiderwebs. However, I've never "bent" my phone or any kind of crap like that. If you bend your phone, then it's not because the phone is a piece of junk. It is because you're a careless person who doesn't take care of their stuff.

The reason the phone bends is because of its second moment of area. It needs to be increased, either by making the phone thicker or changing the material it's made from.
