The mother did not pass the placenta after birth so she died of sepsis. When a female gives birth (humans included) but the placenta is retained it will lead to death from blood poisoning. The placenta essentially decomposes internally and causes massive infection leading to septic shock.
Funny how in the course of about 8 months it went from 1 possible retained placenta, (Extremely rare in LT Macaque) to multiple occurances weekly. Only appeared in monkeys being given drinks by the videographers.

Everyone speculating about retained placenta or poison. If that baby is a newborn...as in only a day old...his mom probably would not have developed sepsis this quickly. That placenta would need to really begin rotting, which would happen fairly soon but not within a day.
Yes indeed Sepsis begins within hours this is why once a females bag of water or the amniotic sac has ruptured water breaks it is now a non sterile access to begin infection which is why doctors insist on the mother delivering the baby within a few hours of water breaking because the mother's will begin with fever and infection sets in quite quickly sustemically

This is Queen Amaris younger sister, Dolly (or eldest daughter, either one) She took over as Queen of Amari Troop when Amari (& her youngest baby Lori) left for the Tamao Sanctuary. Amari was going blind and in pretty bad shape, dying from complications from diabetes & losing so much weight. She was skin & bones, and blind... very sad. Amari held her own, like a boss, and fought off an entire troop of opposing monkeys at the temple - she was surrounded by like 25 monkeys and never backed down. She actually did damage to a few of them. But sadly, Amari got knocked off of the second story platform of the temple, as Lori was holding on to her stomach, and they both fell & got severely injured. Lori got massive head trauma (not her first time, either) and was flailing around, falling all over the place. The VO's actually put her onto a table & she rolled off, and landed on her head....again. Amari was blind, dehydrated and basically skin & bones. They were then taken to the Tamao Zoo & Sanctuary. Amari lived on for a few months, where she ate tons of great food, to her hearts content, made friends & argued sometimes with her loud Squirrel Monkey neighbors, and even snuggled to keep warm at night, making a very happy Lori. She passed away a few months later, while Lori surprisingly healed up & recovered rather nicely - she is a little brain damaged, but she walks, climbs, can hear & see and knows whats going on. Alot of the orphaned & injured monkeys (like Heidi, Amy, Axel, Sabrina, etc) were rescued & brought up there to live at the sanctuary from the temple area.❤ (Sadly, Heidi died, though.) Lori is now the "Queen of the Misfit Troop," acting as a big sister to all of the temple orphans.😊 When the remainder of the Amari troop were rounded up for a cull a few years ago (males like Sweet Pea, Jack, Brutus Jr, Timo, etc.) supposedly, some of them were also brought to the Tamao Zoo & Sanctuary, so it now holds a huge part of the original Amari Troop. (Supposedly) :( Anyway, I think Dolly was poisoned here, bc there was a ton of that going around then. Dolly ended up dying at the vets. They tried to save her, but sadly, it was too late. Dalton was monkey-napped. There was a huge search for him, even a reward out, but we'll never really know what really happened.😢 The Amari Troop was the very first monkeys that i started watching & got to know (around 2015ish) They were all just really cool monkeys, a real bunch of characters. the O.G. King & Queen were dope af, and they were all just fun to watch. The vo's didnt interfere - at first. Then it all went downhill. By the time I came back, the troop was gone and there were so many differing accounts and speculations as to what has become of them. I didn't know what to believe. When the people filming finally gave the infant milk they were so worried about moving the camera 5 times to get a better angle that the bottle was gone by time they had its face in the shot. The monkey barely got any milk.

They do have incredible appetites. They evolved that way because in their natural environment they do a lot of foraging for insects and scraps here and there. They spend a lot of time getting very small amounts of food. They also have to compete with the rest of the troop which is tough, especially for low ranking monkeys. So they evolved to eat whatever they can, as much as they can, and as fast as they can.

She doesn't look to be dying naturally. They realize when that time is close and wouldn't have a baby. She looks to be sick from something. Actually she looks like what happened to a stray dog we had in the neighborhood when I was growing up and he died from antifreeze poisoning. Antifreeze is very easy to get and very sweet. It wouldn't be difficult to get a monkey to eat some. Judging by her weight she also probably has diabetes. Monkeys are very susceptible to diabetes. That's why people should never give them fruit meant for people for sale at the grocery store. Our fruit is grown to be sweeter than found in nature. People should never interfere with wild animals. Watch them from a distance and never feed them. If you must feed the monkeys give them vegetables. They will eat just about anything vegetables wise. They love corn and string beans from my experience but I have seen them gorge themselves on okra and romaine lettuce before. As a treat I used to give them peanuts. I didnt realize how bad it was to interfere with nature when i was younger. I wouldn't feed them today. Not many realize that there is an established troop of pig tail macaques at the Silver Springs park in Florida. If you ever want to see monkeys in the wild without going to Cambodia, Africa or Afghanistan you can just take a car trip to Florida. Pretty sure they have a troop of vervet monkeys too. The macaques were close to where I lived at the time so I spent lots of time interacting with them. Miss seeing them so often.

It's not good for any human to touch or have contact with an animal after birth the mother can smell that scent. She will not nurse or "contact after the human scent. This happened to our pitbull. When we looked again one of the newborn pup was missing. This also happened to someone else. We believed the mother destroyed that particular newborn pup b/c to much handling from contact from a human being. Humans can't don't have the ability to feel or think like an animal
Something was wrong with that pup. Mothers instinct is to kill the puppy and eat it. That keeps the dead from stinking and drawing predators. I’m an old woman and I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and lived on a farm. I have never seen a dog or cat get rid of babies because humans handled them. If mama dog was pissed off because puppies were handled she would growl and bare her teeth.
They used to say that about birds. I later learned wouldn't tear up the nest or hurt the babies. This is simply not true but I can see why you would think that since it's happened in your short life twice already. There are many reasons a mom might abandon, neglect or worse. None of them is the scent of humans.

Friends who come across this scene where the monkey has given birth and has had a lot of bleeding and is not in good condition and is dying, the only food that makes him happy and like magic lifts the monkey and makes him feel better. She was given a shot to retain the placenta, then after the birth was supposed to receive an antidote by mouth but the VOs got the formula wrong and the antidote ended up killing a lot of the Mothers slowly and painfully by heart failure. The water bottle she was drinking so fast had the formula in it, all the moms received some fruit and water right after birth and passed away. leaving orphans for them to suddenly rescue.

The mother did not pass the placenta after birth so she died of sepsis. When a female gives birth (humans included) but the placenta is retained it will lead to death from blood poisoning. The placenta essentially decomposes internally and causes massive infection leading to septic shock.
Funny how in the course of about 8 months it went from 1 possible retained placenta, (Extremely rare in LT Macaque) to multiple occurances weekly. Only appeared in monkeys being given drinks by the videographers.

Everyone speculating about retained placenta or poison. If that baby is a newborn...as in only a day old...his mom probably would not have developed sepsis this quickly. That placenta would need to really begin rotting, which would happen fairly soon but not within a day.
Yes indeed Sepsis begins within hours this is why once a females bag of water or the amniotic sac has ruptured water breaks it is now a non sterile access to begin infection which is why doctors insist on the mother delivering the baby within a few hours of water breaking because the mother's will begin with fever and infection sets in quite quickly sustemically

Someone did some digging and found fairly quickly and easily on these people’s public facebooks no less how they were poisoning the monkeys and what they were using etc. they made a video with all the information too. “Arroz Marisco investigative videography part 1” if you search that on TH-cam you’ll find it. These poor babies are so strong willed, they never give up until they are too week to try.
This is Queen Amaris younger sister, Dolly (or eldest daughter, either one) She took over as Queen of Amari Troop when Amari (& her youngest baby Lori) left for the Tamao Sanctuary. Amari was going blind and in pretty bad shape, dying from complications from diabetes & losing so much weight. She was skin & bones, and blind... very sad.
Amari held her own, like a boss, and fought off an entire troop of opposing monkeys at the temple - she was surrounded by like 25 monkeys and never backed down.
She actually did damage to a few of them. But sadly, Amari got knocked off of the second story platform of the temple, as Lori was holding on to her stomach, and they both fell & got severely injured.
Lori got massive head trauma (not her first time, either) and was flailing around, falling all over the place. The VO's actually put her onto a table & she rolled off, and landed on her head....again.
Amari was blind, dehydrated and basically skin & bones. They were then taken to the Tamao Zoo & Sanctuary.
Amari lived on for a few months, where she ate tons of great food, to her hearts content, made friends & argued sometimes with her loud Squirrel Monkey neighbors, and even snuggled to keep warm at night, making a very happy Lori. She passed away a few months later, while Lori surprisingly healed up & recovered rather nicely - she is a little brain damaged, but she walks, climbs, can hear & see and knows whats going on.
Alot of the orphaned & injured monkeys (like Heidi, Amy, Axel, Sabrina, etc) were rescued & brought up there to live at the sanctuary from the temple area.❤ (Sadly, Heidi died, though.)
Lori is now the "Queen of the Misfit Troop," acting as a big sister to all of the temple orphans.😊
When the remainder of the Amari troop were rounded up for a cull a few years ago (males like Sweet Pea, Jack, Brutus Jr, Timo, etc.) supposedly, some of them were also brought to the Tamao Zoo & Sanctuary, so it now holds a huge part of the original Amari Troop. (Supposedly) :(
Anyway, I think Dolly was poisoned here, bc there was a ton of that going around then.
Dolly ended up dying at the vets. They tried to save her, but sadly, it was too late. Dalton was monkey-napped. There was a huge search for him, even a reward out, but we'll never really know what really happened.😢
The Amari Troop was the very first monkeys that i started watching & got to know (around 2015ish)
They were all just really cool monkeys, a real bunch of characters.
the O.G. King & Queen were dope af, and they were all just fun to watch. The vo's didnt interfere - at first. Then it all went downhill.
But, Amari Troop is just legendary in my eyes.

By the time I came back, the troop was gone and there were so many differing accounts and speculations as to what has become of them. I didn't know what to believe. Your comment was the first one that made total sense to me and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I felt like I got to know those monkeys and, when the troop dispersed, it was like losing a friend. She almost seems better all over again after a few hours.. and then she eats or drinks something and she goes right back under for a few hours. It keeps repeating. I'm curuous who was brining the food. It looks good! But intentions can be shaky. I'm thinking maybe she was being drugged the whole time. Cause when it wears off even hear breath becmes normal. For those who live in the area.... Please, watch for water bottles with liquids inside. The monkeys open these and share with their troop. A kiddo opened one and 4 babies draink along with two moms. The scene was awful throwing up diarhea and then couldn't get up. It looked like Amira here but with more thrown up and diarhea. Lets help em. Cause some tourists think that poisoning them is funny. A tourists channel had two young boys watching the baby puke his guts out and them mom tried to get up to help but fell over. And the kids are laughing at her. Then they are saying "What should we do to her?????" That is evil intention. Watch for poison water/soda bottles and watch for poisoned evil people. =(

That's messed up the female has pups starting as early as 2 years old and they continue to have them the out thier entire life if the female live a full life span she will have given birth to at least 25 or 30 pups in life time an she has to mate with male whether she wants to not other wise be salvatly attacked by the male if she doesn't mate with male I"v seen monkeys videos where the male monkey just goes around mating with every female in the troop one after another until he's satisfied and a female resist him she will most likely be brutally attacked by the male monkey that's probably why a lot of the mom's don't really want the pups an it doesn't help that the pups so clingy even when they get older the mom has to statr weaning them at a early age cause if she doesn't it will be next to impossible an by then their usually expecting another pup by then an the cycle continues these particular monkeys have a depressing existence

When the people filming finally gave the infant milk they were so worried about moving the camera 5 times to get a better angle that the bottle was gone by time they had its face in the shot. The monkey barely got any milk.

They do have incredible appetites. They evolved that way because in their natural environment they do a lot of foraging for insects and scraps here and there. They spend a lot of time getting very small amounts of food. They also have to compete with the rest of the troop which is tough, especially for low ranking monkeys. So they evolved to eat whatever they can, as much as they can, and as fast as they can.

Watching this tiny infant struggle for life is so hesrtwrenching. I want to be disgusted with mama but I'm guessing she's probably sick or maybe suffering from postpartum depression. Something's not right, that much is clear. Poor sweet baby 😢

She doesn't look to be dying naturally. They realize when that time is close and wouldn't have a baby. She looks to be sick from something. Actually she looks like what happened to a stray dog we had in the neighborhood when I was growing up and he died from antifreeze poisoning. Antifreeze is very easy to get and very sweet. It wouldn't be difficult to get a monkey to eat some. Judging by her weight she also probably has diabetes. Monkeys are very susceptible to diabetes. That's why people should never give them fruit meant for people for sale at the grocery store. Our fruit is grown to be sweeter than found in nature. People should never interfere with wild animals. Watch them from a distance and never feed them. If you must feed the monkeys give them vegetables. They will eat just about anything vegetables wise. They love corn and string beans from my experience but I have seen them gorge themselves on okra and romaine lettuce before. As a treat I used to give them peanuts. I didnt realize how bad it was to interfere with nature when i was younger. I wouldn't feed them today. Not many realize that there is an established troop of pig tail macaques at the Silver Springs park in Florida. If you ever want to see monkeys in the wild without going to Cambodia, Africa or Afghanistan you can just take a car trip to Florida. Pretty sure they have a troop of vervet monkeys too. The macaques were close to where I lived at the time so I spent lots of time interacting with them. Miss seeing them so often.

It's not good for any human to touch or have contact with an animal after birth the mother can smell that scent. She will not nurse or "contact after the human scent. This happened to our pitbull. When we looked again one of the newborn pup was missing. This also happened to someone else. We believed the mother destroyed that particular newborn pup b/c to much handling from contact from a human being. Humans can't don't have the ability to feel or think like an animal
Something was wrong with that pup. Mothers instinct is to kill the puppy and eat it. That keeps the dead from stinking and drawing predators. I’m an old woman and I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and lived on a farm. I have never seen a dog or cat get rid of babies because humans handled them. If mama dog was pissed off because puppies were handled she would growl and bare her teeth.
They used to say that about birds. I later learned wouldn't tear up the nest or hurt the babies. This is simply not true but I can see why you would think that since it's happened in your short life twice already. There are many reasons a mom might abandon, neglect or worse. None of them is the scent of humans.

She was given a shot to retain the placenta, then after the birth was supposed to receive an antidote by mouth but the VOs got the formula wrong and the antidote ended up killing a lot of the Mothers slowly and painfully by heart failure. The water bottle she was drinking so fast had the formula in it, all the moms received some fruit and water right after birth and passed away. leaving orphans for them to suddenly rescue.
