    Bought the unit from unique web site, product is built well, ordered 3 additional adapters but never received the 223 that should have come with the unit, various emails to him no response back from him, surprised given the quality and detail of his product, thought you should know. No reflection on you, your video encouraged me to buy the unit. Im still happy with it works great.

      That's a bit of a bummer on the lack of response as well as a missing adapter. I'm thinking a small/one-man shop that is probably too busy to keep up with the all the demand/details and such. Not an excuse, just an unfortunate reality it seems. Amazing product IMO. Mine gets constant usage and still going strong 2+ years later.

      @@hanswulff4910 - great to hear Hornady was able to get you going so the Unique Parts case feeding system works as you had hoped. Good stuff.

      As I said in my video, not inexpensive, but worth EVERY PENNY in my opinion. This is made like no other case feeder and I am BEYOND impressed with what Unique Parts has done. I am not easily impressed and this is a home run platform.

    I noticed you thought it may be helpful to have the counter movable. On the unit I received this week the counter does move very easily. I’m having some issues getting mine dialed in. The fit and finish is fine. Some minor tweaking will probably be needed. Mr. Cheung is being quite helpful. I would certainly recommend this unit for purchase.

      I probably should have used a more accurate word. The digital counter swivels left/right with ease. What I meant when I said movable was vertical movement of the "clamp". There is no way to lock the clamp at a particular height by itself, so you'd need another component (like the shellplate holder which has the ability to "lock" in place) to help adjust the height of the digital counter by setting the height of the shellplate holder and then having the counter clamp sit atop that. Not a big deal at all. Hope all your issues dialing in your case feeder are easy fixes. Glad JC is helping you. I absolutely LOVE this thing! I just reached out to JC to purchase my "all red" version. The attention to detail and functionality are truly impressive.
      If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out.

    I personally do not understand the case counter, it cannot be accurate as there are always a certain amount of errors made when reloading.
    I feel weighing is the most accurate way to go. A 9mm brass weighs 4 grams (not grains) or 0.141 once.
    Remove the weight of container, weight either in oz or grams and divide overall weight by brass or cartridge weight, which ever you are working on at the time.
    Very informative channel!

    • @ReLoadersBench
      @ReLoadersBench  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I would view the case counter more as an estimator than an exact counter. Agreed, there are always reasons to pull the ram up/down that don't necessarily correlate to a finished round. Overall weight is one option, but I've found that unless you stick with one headstamp, the case weight can be all over the map with mixed headstamps. The only items that will not vary are projectiles and primers. Powder will vary to some degree (unless you are charging by hand and checking each cartridge) and then there's the brass. The case counter gets a thumbs up from me for cool factor and a "nice to have" item that is not critical but helpful.
      And after using Unique Parts case feeding system for a few weeks now....I can say that I absolutely LOVE this thing!

    Great video! QUESTION: Do you see any benefit to installing a longer ~1" chrome support tube so that the bracket that holds the case feeding tubes could be moved up about a foot? Seems that by extending this tube, the feeder tubes would be held more securely and eliminate any wiggle that could cause wear and tear and possibly feed problems as the unit gets used more and more. Your thoughts are appreciated. THANK YOU

    • @ReLoadersBench
      @ReLoadersBench  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Funny you mention extending the tube taller which is exactly what I ordered from Unique Parts to add extra stabilization for the multi feed case tubes (not to mention all red parts). I’ll do a video once it gaets here.

      @@ReLoadersBench Thank you for your prompt response. You did say you only reload 45 caliber. I reload 9mm, 38/357mag, 223/5.56 as well as 45. How do you get the other calibers? Did you purchase the bullet feeder as well? Did you do a video of that? Your videos have been very helpful to me since I’m rather technologically challenged.

    • @ReLoadersBench
      @ReLoadersBench  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joyceknepper366 - on this LnL, I only load 45ACP. On my Dillon XL750 I load 9m. For all other calibers, I use either a Lee Classic Turret or Classic Cast single stage. For the Unique Parts case feeder, the caliber is simply a different insert (I showed a 9mm caliber adapter/insert in the first video/part 1 I did on this solution). So a caliber change is technically as easy as swapping out the caliber specific adapter.
      Unique Parts also offers bullet feeders, but I currently use a Hornady Bullet Feeder die in conjunction with a Mag-P bullet feeding solution (think smaller version of the multi-tube case feeder) that I got from SoCal S&W. This is machined from aluminum for the base/top and then caliber specific sized tubes. Great product that I run on my Hornady and Dillon progressives. I have review videos of all this stuff available on my YT channel. If you fast forward to minute 18:50, you'll see the Mag-P sitting on top of my bullet feeding die.

    So whats the reason you spent more than the price for the hornady official case feeder to buy this?

    • @ReLoadersBench
      @ReLoadersBench  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hmmmm, you must have forgotten to convert Australian dollars to US dollars as the Hornady case feeder is about $500 (Amazon, Midway) and my cost for the Unique Parts case feeder was around US $200, so in my book that’s a solid value. I’m also more of an “all mechanical” fan with my press configurations (and can put them all on my mobile stand or bench mount - can’t do that with the Hornady Case Feeder), also don’t have the bench space for how the Hornady CF sits, don’t need the annoying noise (motor, wheel, cases dropping, etc,), and like supporting the creative ideas others have for innovative products. Those are reasons I prefer the UP case feeding platform. Plus it works flawlessly, something I haven’t heard about the Hornady Case Feeder.
