    Since Eva Automation acquired B&W, it has been a rocky road for the company and yesterday their CEO & CFO resigned and the company will be restructred or sold out again. Too many good A/V brands are either foreclosing, being bought or outsourcing manufacturing to China. The Klipsch made in USA and the ones made in China are worlds apart in manufacturing and sound, hold on to your good equipment, its a good thing that speakers don't get obsolete.

      I have a pair of B&W PM1 made in China. Very good sounding speakers! however some of the polymer parts are starting to turn bad (sticky)...

      @@dariod2666 Check out the Garage Sale sites on Community.Klipsch or Forum.PolkAudio there are a lot of high end speaker deals to be found. People upgrading or even downsizing. For new speakers I am a big Polk fan and there a lot of Klipsch fans. Check out SVS for subs.

    Pretty sweet ht and office for sure. Wouldn't mind that 1 bit. Looks amazing.
    With different lcr from the surrounds and atmos is timbre matching an issue?

    • @pike8280
      @pike8280 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm curious on the timbre matching as well, but personally I have not noticed any distractions between the two while watching movies. Music listening is done via 2 channel so no issue there. Debated going all B&W but chose to focus speaker budget to upgrading the center to the 800 series. I struggled to justify the cost of the matching B&W surrounds since I already had 4 of the Episode surrounds from my previous front 3 setup. Next focus is room treatment but maybe somewhere way down the line I might update the surrounds when B&W closes out the series.

    • @battousai412
      @battousai412 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pike8280 cool, I'm thinking maybe since you kept the effects speakers all the same it might b a close enough match as those speakers are pretty good. Definitely think getting the matching center to the fronts was the smartest move. I think you definitely would've noticed a timbre issue in the lcr had you skimped on the most important speaker the center. Awesome setup, I'm not sure I'd be able to get snyvwork done in the office though with that ht tempting me😎💯💯💯

    • @keepingupwiththejones2933
      @keepingupwiththejones2933 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@pike8280 so you are homeowner? I love your space. Timbre matching is really important across the front soundstage LCR and to a lesser degrees the surrounds and rear surrounds. The vertical/height speakers don't really need to timbre matched. Thanks for allowing Zach into your home and letting him share with his subscribers. Love that projector. It will be my next projector.

    Real cool HT. I have an unfinished attic and I'll end up with slanted walls also. I'm planning to go 6 feet before the roof pitch starts so I should be able to put my side surrounds on the flat vertical walls. What are the demensions of this room?

      @@pike8280 Really appreciate the response. My rough measurements tell me if I do 6 foot walls, I can do a 15 x 21 room. This video helps me visualize how my room (if I ever get it built😖) might look.
      I'm thinking bookshelf's for side and rear surrounds but in wall might be the safer option for the speakers and for me and my clumsey guests. If I go with taller walls, I'll give up too much width and I don't want to do that. Compromises...😥

    • @pike8280
      @pike8280 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OriginalOldSkoolFunk No worries. Thankfully for the most part the AV community is a great on to get support from and Zach has been really easy to work with and get anything I need from. As much as everyone dreams of the perfect home theater room, unfortunately the name of the game is compromise and do the best with what you are given and the best for you. Are there things I'd change if I had a do over or other things not to be concerned with? Of course, but end of the day I am very happy with where my system is currently at. There are always more things to do in future, but sometimes it is nice to take a break and just enjoy the setup; after all this is suppose to be fun. Goodluck with your planning and future room.
