    How did you get the second zone of video without losing surround sound in the theater? Every AVR I've looked at either drops the resolution of both displays if one isn't 4K and/or drops the audio down to stereo for both zones when running the second zone.

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question, there is a 4K video distribution system in the home feeding all the TV's and the theater. So you can choose the incoming 4K source from the system in any or all rooms and have the same thing playing. Thanks for watching

    • @AudioAdvice

    Excellent video - just curious (and I don't think it was mentioned), where did the subs wind up? Are the in front or sides and where are they in those particular walls? I am looking at springing for in-wall subs just to reduce the clutter. Need to figure out what I need to do to get them in there. Thanks!

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much! Both subs are in the front wall towards the corners for as much room gain as possible. The Anthem took out any peaks. There are many choices for multiple sub locations. Often, with in walls, it will depend on your stud bays and room you have. Most good inwall subwoofers like these have a very large back box that can take 5-6 ft of vertical space in the stud bay, which might be where you want to put an inwall surround speaker. Here is the link to our article www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/home-theater-subwoofer-placement-options/

    Scott, that theater is sick! Love the lighting and connectivity. There is so much thought that goes into the build and it’s apparent that your team leaves nothing to chance.
    Quick question(s): how close is the front row to the 144” screen? Is the sound optimized for the 2nd row of seats? When figuring out those distances, do you use SMPTE recommendations, work with the space you have, or a little of both? I’m curious to see how how you determined screen size and seating distance for that room.
    Thank you!

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! We normally ask the client where they like to sit in a theater, then use our home theater design tool to determine the optimum screen size for their tastes. Some people like to sit towards the front of a commercial cinema while others prefer the back row. If they near one of our stores, we can even have them come in and get a feel for what those different field of visions look like to them. The front row in this one from the eyes is about 10' to the screen which is about a 52 degree viewing angle. Many people these days are opting for that ratio as projector resolution has increased. hi. this is an awesome looking theater. Love the panels on wall. It looks like the app in your site where you can design the theater room. Black walls with LED lights. I know you can't give specific numbers, but what would something like that cost to do in a similiar sized room as this one? Approximately parts and labor? (for wall acoustic/diffusor panels and fabric). thank you

    Hi,
    Is 5.1.7 also possible?

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dolby Atmos for the home actually can be up to 32 channels. You just need a very premium surround sound processor that can do that many channels. There are only a handful and they are all abor 20K. Some brands do allow up to 6 Atmos speakers though, which would get you 5.1.6 if you wanted. Thanks for watching

    Is there absolutely no sound transmitted to the bedroom when playing at reference level? I would find it difficult to believe unless the theatre room was built as a room....In a room. • @AudioAdvice

    Nice home cinema room. But unfortunately poor placement of the front left and right in-wall speakers. Anthony Grimani and the top home cinema guys use slanted wall corners. So the front left and right in-wall's are toed in facing the listening positions like you do with regular speakers for movies.
    This gives a much better sound quality from the front left and right speakers. This home cinema sacrificed some sound quality for instead fitting a larger projector screen in the available room size. Always some comprises no matter how large the budget is.

    • @AudioAdvice
      @AudioAdvice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, when you have a huge room that is a good way to go, but when the door is right by the screen wall, it is impossible. This room is 12'7'" by 17'4" so there was not a lot of space to work with. When we have the ability to get 3-5 feet behind the screen wall, we do normally use in room speakers and toe them in some, depending on the speaker design and listening position. Thanks for watching and commenting.
