    Have you ever seen FSD alter your route at a turn?

      I have turned off rerouting for regular trips in order to follow normal routes.

    I have that exact problem at a 4 way stop I am supposed to go straight and at the last moment in the intersection if suddenly turns right which is the wrong direction. It does not happen all the time but sometimes.

    I am trying FSD 12.3.6 on my 2018 Mode S and I do not like it. It has had numerous problems like what yours did. I have had this happen numerous times on city streets and on the freeways. It’s very scary. I do not trust it at all. I have had a few close calls while changing lanes on the freeway. It seems to get confused and causes the cars around me to freak out.

      A version coming out later this year should have big improvements coming to freeway driving. I understand what you’re saying, a couple of odd decisions on FSD’s part can make you lose trust in the tech.

  • @JustAThought01
    @JustAThought01 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    You might want to try that route again to see if there is a repeat of the rerouting during a turn. Interesting behavior.

    • @FSDwithme
      @FSDwithme  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I will for sure. I think it got confused by the incoming car, but it should have just waited for it to pass instead of rerouting.

    • @FSDwithme
      @FSDwithme  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Tried route again but FSD wouldn’t allow that route option with same destination details. Couldn’t replicate 100 % of the same route criteria. Will keep trying. 🤞

    When in assertive. I don't like assertive on non city streets. I use average for these kinds of roads:)

    Thanks for the posting this video and sharing your experience. I have mixed feelings about the FSD improvements. A problem with Tesla's FSD is that it became so good to lull you in a false sense of safety. The FSD tracker community (check out their web site) is collecting survey data from 200+ Tesla drivers. FSD 12.3.X works so well that there is on average only every 171 miles of driving a critical disengagement. This is impressive but far from being sufficient for a real full self driving system. Meaning, that needs to be improved by at least more than 1000 times to com close to human performance. Tesla states in its support web site that autopilot and FSD requires a fully attentive driver all the time for immediate intervention. However, being on alert while only every 20 hours an intervention is required is IMHO a bad system's design. People will take their hands from the wheel and start doing other things (or might even doze off). If you have to stay alert, then you should be forced to do something so that you are mentally engaged.
    Take care.

      @DerekDavis213 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are right, FSD is still nowhere close to a human driver. FSD cannot even do a 1 hour challenging drive without human intervention.
      A human can drive every day for years, without any problems.

      @FSDwithme  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Amazing feedback. I’m curious to see how the alerting system in 12.4 compares. I’m not a fan of wheel nag but I also want to be a responsible and safe FSD driver, and we are still years away from being able to completely tune out, if ever.

    I’m not liking the fact that FSD now crossed a solid yellow line to get into a turn lane. That is illegal to do that. It should slow down and wait for the dashed line. It’s done it several times for me and at speeds of 35mph so no reason not to slow and wait.
    Question please. How can I reduce my speed when in FSD? I use to be able to use the right scroll wheel to reduce/increase but that doesn’t work anymore. There are a few streets, I travel, where 25mph is the limit but there are a lot of pedestrians so most go 20 or 15 because it’s residential. Thanks.

      I do! I am hoping to measure it against the elected improvements coming in 12.4. I have thought of going back to a fixed offset though. I still like it in general, it just needs tweaking.

    • @mistyanderson6834
      @mistyanderson6834 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You might try with it off and check your speed issue in town. I was having the same problem with it going sometimes 10 over with no other traffic. Turning offset off on my last drive seems to have given me some control back. It still goes over by a bit but nothing like the 10 or more over. Still a night and day difference from 2 1/2 years ago when you could barely trust it to turn a corner. 😂 💕

    FSD has been going smoothly since the last update, and it is driving like humans. My only concern is that the camera on the B pillar is too far back to see the traffic when making unprotected left or right turns. Especially, fsd always likes to be too far from the stop signs.

  • @MarceloTezza
    @MarceloTezza 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Well, i think most people have really low reaction times, and feel uncomfortable when the car outsmarts them or is capable of doing things quicker.
    I think all major fsd videos should always show on what mode the car is, assertive, chill etc.

    At 5:40 , FSD far exceeds the speed limit.
    At 9:10 , FSD waits much too long. A human driver would cross that street much faster.
    FSD did well, on a very easy route. Next time, maybe a challenging test in a busy *big* *city* ?

    Great video...but... There are enough haters watching these videos that some of them are going to start crying to the NHTSA about speeding and then we will see that agency crack down on Tesla again. Then we will have our speed set by bureaucrats instead of being flexible. This needs to be posted on every video where excessive speeding is being observed. I really wish the Auto Speed Adjust wasn't shown on these videos to prevent more restrictions being put on FSD.

    • @FSDwithme

    It's illegal on public streets. Tesla fsd does notbhave a drivers license and it is illegal to not maintain control of your vehicle.
    We have a group just starting out, where we capture these types of videos and report them to the DMV/DoT. Youbare being reported with a formal complaint for prosecution.

    • @FSDwithme
      @FSDwithme  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    • @shallenberger57
      @shallenberger57 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @FSDwithme That is the type of person I told you about in my previous comment. The haters are going to ruin it for the rest of us. Turn off Auto Speed adjust if you are going to show it online. Too many TH-cam posters are showing FSD going 10, 15, 20 mph over the speed limit and act like it is just fine to break the law. If you want to use it don't publicize FSD breaking the law. This is precisely why FSD has to make a complete stop at every stop sign even though 95% of all humans don't.
