    Thank You, for this very informative video. I thought the c-pillar had a sink mark but now that I looked at it again watching this video, I saw the real problem in my 68 Charger body. Easy fix. Thank You Frank.

    You have my attention, Professor Frank. 🤓
    I never before heard of a vestigial nub, in fact I had to look it up to even spell it correctly here. lol (again, I learn things from this channel!)
    Now I'll watch to see how you get rid of this condition, before I open up the '68 Charger kit I bought in April.

    Thanks Frank, I look forward to all the charger tutorials and am having fun fixing them. Thanks for the shout out to Burbanks house of hobbies, I have been buying kits from Glen and the guys for decades and I'm never dissapointed!

      @@FranksModelWorksI have done those same conversions also years back. I even did a General Lee in the Revell 68 and interchanged the two kits parts. I have Both AMT's General Lee's also, the 500 back and the slotted window back. All of my Revell kits had very very minor mold lines and no deformity on the fender well trim.I have interchanged years on a few other cars too. I even made a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 4 door hardtop!. 1957 Revell
      El Dorado roof and glass. It took a lot of molding and sanding but got it accurate. Heck, I even made it a rare fulie version. Lol. I'm spoiled! Take care brother. Will watch your videos. I've been building since 1964 and in second grade back then, I'm 67 now. I have built kits from 1964 to some present ones now. I have 544 cars. I have a lot of tricks too. Lol. Chat with you again fellow!.

    You can buy individual packs of DSPAIE sanding sponges in different grits and thicknesses to refill the used up sponge in your holders.

    DSPAIE makes some good stuff. I bought a circle cutter (masking tape circles) and went with a cheaper brand. it didn't work worth a darn and ended up buying another from DISPAE for a little more $ and it's by far better quality. great tutorial Frank!

    I agree that this is a great kit. I've built a couple of them. I was in Hobby Lobby today and can confirm they had the '68 Special Edition kit and the '70 Fast and Furious kit in stock. If you haven't built this kit go get one today!

    • @rayrussell6258

      Do you know if the '70 kit has all the parts to build the model as factory stock?

    • @JimFlanagan4206
      @JimFlanagan4206 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rayrussell6258 No. It only comes with the cut out hood, hot rod engine parts, and aftermarket wheels/ tires. You could probably kitbash it with parts from the 68 or 69.

    Can you use the 69 MPC Charger grill and vallance panel on a Revell 68 Charger? The 69 Charger kits are hard to come by in New Zealand.

    • @FranksModelWorks
      @FranksModelWorks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably not without involved modification. Also, the interior upholstery pattern is different between the 68 and 69.

    My most resent Revell Charger had 3 mold issues... driver's side where c pillar meets drip rail and window opening molding meet, at the top of the rear window moulding and the driver's side quarter panel end cap... these 3 things together had me using a body from parts box... the tooling is wore out and it's time Revell's new owners updated this kit... and while they are at it, how about 4 marker lights on the chrome tree?

    I need someone to explain the sharpie thing. I've seen other people us this same technique but not sure what the goal is.
    Do the sharpie markings make it easier to see the mold lines?

    • @FranksModelWorks
      @FranksModelWorks  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RepublicanJesusthe2nd Yes. It just makes it easier to see them for old blind farts like me.
