One of your most helpful, informative Ensenada videos! I have only visited once but I feel like I will navigate it like a pro on my upcoming trip, thanks to this and the rest of your videos. Thank you!!!!
Ty for posting Guadalajara Birria. I saved it on my Google maps. Going to Ensenada in May ‘24 and your vids always help us navigate around town. We really appreciate you.
@@TheBeachLife We cruise May 6th. Cant wait! Im looking to buy a doll. Last year we went on the lobster lunch and shopping at Rosarito excursion. It was fun. This time we will walk around Ensenada. Hope the museum is open when we are there.
thanks for a very informative video, your wind sock worked great and I appreciate how hard you work to point out the things we want to know and see. cheers
started looking for helpful videos around this time last year and fell in love with your channel and now in june we are going back! one day i hope to run into you!!
Thank you!! The mobility scooters will be fine if you are staying on the Malecón (boardwalk) area. Once you go outside of that area, navigating them on the sidewalks there (with the amount of people, vendors, etc.), may be difficult.
How often do you do the cruise with Catalina Island and how many times have you been to La Bufadora? Do you ever visit Riviera del Pacifico in Ensenada?
Catalina Island is part of the 4-day sailing, which I don't typically do (I only did it once last year as part of a back to back cruise). I primarily do the 3-day sailing because the Fri-Mon schedule allows me to use less vacation time. I have only been to La Bufadora once. I have not visited Riviera Del Pacifico in Ensenada. Is this a place I should visit? I will have to do some research and get more info.
@@TheBeachLife I've been to Riviera Del Pacifico 4 times which is how many times I've cruised to Ensenada. It's real close to the cruise terminal and worth visiting once if you've never been. They claim to be the birthplace of the margarita but so does Hussong's cantina so someone isn't telling the truth. 😄
@@passiveinvestor1978 - Ah ok, I have heard of that place (and seen it in a couple of videos). Yes, I have heard how they both make that claim. I will definitely give it a visit.
I am glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for pointing that out! I will have to remember to mention that (in my next video) when I go back in 3 weeks! :)
I'm getting ready to disembark in Ensenada, and I had to watch your video one more time. 😊 thank you for this. I feel more sure of where I'm going now. ❤
Haha!!! Now I see the answer to my question on your recent video! I haven’t purchased alcohol onboard for six years, and you picked it up the night before so you could pack it in your luggage before sending it out.
thank you for this informative video! Just what I was looking for as I will be on Radiance mid May and wanted to know how far it would be to walk down 1st Street to Papa's area. Also husband has been wanting to try a McDonald's in MX but we never got the chance... so think this is do-able! :D
Thank you for your video, Going on this cruise early fall, 1 question...should we get Pesos to pay for food, gift etc prior to the cruise or can you pay in USD?
Your vids ROCK. I appreciate them SO much! and... DUDE! You are in GREAT SHAPE to not only walk around all over the place AND not be winded! I'm IMPRESSED!!! I've encountered servers and suchlike from the States actually working down there in the bars! Shocked the hell outta me. Carrianas Jewelry has been there for DECADES. The t-shirts and stuff from Papas 'n Beer and Hussongs are EXPENSIVE. Question: what would happen if one bought cigarettes there and brought them aboard?
Thanks so much! I do love walking and getting my steps in on time the ship and in port. It’s important for my type of vlogging to be able to walk and talk, so I have to keep my cardio up. 😃 I’m not sure about the cigarettes. I’m on the ship this weekend. I will have to ask around
You're very welcome! I definitely got my steps in that day 🤣 -- If you stay in that main downtown area (that I show in the video,) you will be fine. If you can find another person (or group) that would be good too.
My wife and I have cruised many times I've never had a problem in Ensenada. Stay in populated areas. But if you're concerned, make friends with people on the ship ahead of time and go with them.
Hey what if you can make copies of your passport an leave the actual passport in your state room wud that work Incase u might lost your actual passport at port
@@Andrew-wd6dx - I have always been curious about this, so just did a Google search. Here is what I found: www.ice.gov/doclib/about/offices/ihsc/pdf/medicationFormularyCBP.pdf
It’s a commonly asked question. You can use US dollars and debit or credit cards. If you are not going to use dollars, I would strongly encourage you to use a credit card over a debit card. If you have any issues with a transaction you are better off dealing with the credit card companies versus your bank.
This is the first time I am hearing this. Obviously my videos and filming style are not for you. Luckily, there are many other content creators to watch. Best of luck to you!

Great informative video. Why do you prefer Carnival over other cruise lines?
I get really good casino offers and also familiarity

Are there public restrooms available on this self guided walking tour?
Some places will have restrooms, but they will charge you to use them. It’s usually around or $1 or so.

Do any of the shuttles accommodate ecv scooters? How easy or difficult is it to navigate the oceanfront and downtown area on a scooter?
I am told they can accommodate scooters on the shuttles. The waterfront area is easy to navigate by scooter. The downtown area will be more difficult
This is awesome. I need to go to Ensenada with you so I’ll learn to like it. I usually go to cabo and skip it
Thank you! I am doing my best, through my videos, to show a different side of Ensenada.
How's cruising to Ensenada in August, any risk from hurricane season?
I have had no issues cruising in August. Carnival does a good job of working around weather issues

They will all take USD, but you will get your change back in pesos

Which shuttle do I take to get as close to Lidia’s as possible
The one that drops you off by the Starbucks/McDonalds.

I have an excursion scheduled for noon, do you think we can go ahopping before hand and still get back in time for the excursion?
If you leave the ship early enough, you could definitely do that. What time do you get back from the excursion?
@@TheBeachLife we don't get back till 4 from the excursion.
@@TheBeachLife what is the earliest they will let you off the ship?
@@elizabetho1939 - Oh bummer, yeah, that is cutting it too close.
@@elizabetho1939 - I believe it is 8 AM (not sure, usually still sleeping lol)

I believe it's around 815 AM or so. Honestly, there isn't much going (unless you are going on an excursion) until around 11 AM.
Thank you for taking the time to walk all through the town. It was very informative. How safe do you think it is for a solo cruiser to walk in town?

@Larry Hall thanks I don't have anything flashy or expensive. 😂
@TheBeachLife whats the best tacos you have tired while being out there?
Are the shuttles and town rollator friendly?
Sorry, not sure what a rollator is? If you are saying like wheelchair or scooter friendly, the shuttles are, but not the town.
Heading out there this weekend. You recommend dollars or pesos, and if pesos from where? In Puerto Vallarta the fee is high at most places for pesos.
I always do dollars (never used pesos)
Cool, thank you sir.
@@DaFranchize69 - You're welcome!
Are prices in US Dollars as well as pesos? Is it a good idez to exchange $$
The prices will almost always be in pesos. I typically just use US Dollars, just be aware of the exchange rate during your visit (as you negotiate)
Any marisco spots in port?? Thank you 🤙🏾
Yes, there is one a couple blocks up from the flag called Mariscos Bahia Ensenada

I think they have both prices. I heard the Taco Movil tacos have gone up to $2 a taco, which is still not a bad deal.
Will I need a passport to enter ensenada when I exit the cruise ship?
You do not. I still highly recommend a passport because if you have to fly out of Mexico for some unplanned reason, you will need a passport
