for laybugs normal outfit, the reason why i think it so simple and not like alya's or adrien's suit is bc when she first got the miraculous, she thought she wasnt fit for it and didnt want it and blah blah blah, so when she did transform, it would've plain as ever. YET, I can't really say that due to Alya changing her suit from the classic Rena Rougue to Rena Furtive, with all the colors and stuff, and I could also take Haw moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch/whatever name he goes nowadays and also Young and Old Alice. Hawk Moth/the other billion names he has changed his fit in season 4 and 5. In season 4 It changed cuz he paired Nooroo and Duzzu, and in season 5 the nooroo fit changed completly. And for young and old Alice I can't really say much cuz they basically have the same fit, except for young alice having minor details in her fit. So I guess It depends on the holder's choice, I mean Marrinette likes her fit so she prob just decided to stick with it.

So for me I always viewed it as for her even though shes a fashion designer when it comes to being a hero she separates those lives. To her marinette and ladybug are to different people. When in hero mode the costume is so simple because she feels it shouldnt be elaborate as it would just get in her way. For all of her outfits except for two that we've seen she was in a skintight suit not really much design at all except pattern. Lady noire has more detail but she also was shown not to take it too seriously. And with pennybug two things could have affected it. The fact that she used three at the same time which has been suggested to take a toll on the users mind as well as being affected by risk making her not care about the finer details.
I really like your theories about the simple outfit design but let's be real 👀 It's probably easier to work the animation with a simple costume 😅 Let's not forget the spots were an issue already and there's A LOT of videos about their animation mistakes

She has so much more potential for her hair if I’m being honest . I’d like her better if she would wear a bun or ponytail instead of pigtails. It would make her look more confident at least so maybe those long winded scenes wouldn’t be as embarrassing. Could also show character development if they make this change in season 6
Honestly, when I saw her Multi Mouse costume, I really liked it from the start. I felt that it matched her personality well and that the design was cute. Since Lady Bug in cannon is Chinese, I feel that mixing more aspect of Chinese culture into her outfits would be a neat touch. I also wondered how the story would progress if she never got the Lady Bug Miraculous and was instead give the Mouse Miraculous. This is just my opinion but I would love to hear yours :)

i agree with you, but only one flaw : the whole concept of the show ; the love square, ying and yang ? marinette is the ladybug and adrien is the black cat and we all know ladybugs = good luck black cats = bad luck. Also it takes a huge toll on the human host - once the holder reverts back to normal they are absolutely exhausted/vulnerable. So piling on with the miraculae (ha ha -classic Latin pluralization!) is definitely a Hail Mary play.
If you were to use a Latin plural of miraculous (or miracul-us) it would be miraculi, since the affix -us points to a masculine noun. You could use -ae as a plural on feminine nouns ( -a) like kwagatama, though! If I remember correctly, in the show they call multiple miraculous either also "miraculous" or sometimes "miraculouses" - or maybe hawkmoth just makes up words

I love her original Ladybug suit, I find it so adorable on her. I don't see why people hate it just because it's "so simple", a outfit doesn't always have to be complicated to be beautiful. For my favorite I would say, both her Ladybug form, Multimouse, Ice bug and Dragonbug. I'm definitely not a fan of Ladybee (for me her ponytail is way too big and I don't appreciate the top ) , Pegabug and Pennybug (except her hair for Pennybug).
I actually liked Pennybugs outfit a lot 😭 the glasses and the shoulder pads were appealing to me (on top of her hair of course). I just wish she had an umbrella
All of the outfits were designed to be as basic as possible for marinette because that's what she craves most deep down in her soul simplicity. This causes her to not have much to get in her way costume wise so. It's also ironic because of all the ladybug users we've scene her lucky charms are also the most elaborate do to her mind state being in constant choas.
To expand on this I feel this is why pennybug is so elaborate because when she used this it was 3 miraculous which could be affecting her mind hence the more elaborate costume design add on top of that being affected by risk at the time aswell.

There's a reason her main ladybug outfit is basic, when she first transformed she didn't really know superheroes, or want to be one, but when everyone else first transformed they wanted to be superheroes so they put more effort into their outfits :)
Yeah and we also know they can change their outfits if they want to, like when chat changed his to disguise himself and Rena too. Maybe Marinette just doesn't want to change her outfit anymore or just doesn't care about it, because at the end of the day being ladybug is still very pressuring for her.
I think the reason the original outfit is so simple is because it was the beginning of the show and of course there are doubts about how it would perform and they may not have had the resources to make it better, but by the time they could, that outfit was already established and they couldn't change it, hence why she has that extra outfit when she makes the charms. My issue with LB's outfits almost always boils down to too many spots. You can make a good design based off of a ladybug without drowning the design in spots. Like for her ice power up, it's cool that they added fur but it's weird that the fur on her ankles doesn't highlight a transition to something else if that makes sense. Like they could have made her feet burgundy with no spots or something, and she'd look like she's wearing boots. But for something like Dragonbug, I love that they made the spots larger and used WAY fewer of them. The design is much better for it
I think what went wrong with ladybugs is that it doesn't really go with her personality, because marinette is very, um... prepared and her civilian alfit is like a lot , she wears a jacket and a little bag and it just doesn't seem that similar between the two😕

You know, I think this the simpleness of ladybug and cat noir's outfits that make them so detailed. Its almost like, they are the standard, and all the other miraculous/ costumes are just random and supposed to not fit the standard. Not having all the bling and shine makes them look like the leaders, and the og's.
i think the reason why adrien and alya's costumes were more detailed because it was kind of a one time thing and ladybug is shown like about every episode. making the details for each episode would take too much time so thats why ladybugs costume is simple

I like : Multi-Mouse, Multi-Fox, Dragonbug, and Lady Noire. I think the same eye shade as Pegabug only with Blue Cat eyes would have suited her more. But Anti-Ladybug looks darn cool too (even it's just Antibug's body with Marinette's head on it) The "Lucky Charm" / Guardian costume is OK though it does look like she's wearing cycling shorts in some views. Cosmobug is cool if she'd wear it on the ground for longer with the helmet retracted, she doesn't though.

However why does the name have to be smushed together all wierd when it's fused but when a different person is using a miraculous it has to be completely different.
The only thing I really like about Pennybug is how they gave her the Sailor Moon Odango Buns, since MLB has some Sailor Moon inspiration and there's no Miraculous more perfect to reference it with than the Bunny Miraculous. hi, this is a old video (kinda) but i just wanted to explain why ladybug didn't use the dog miraculous. so she and basically everyone in paris were affected by risk, and ladybug wouldn't have been able to use it because of it. she needed someone without the mark, so she goes to felix (she thought it was adrien) and gives the dog miraculous to him.

I love her original Ladybug suit, I find it so adorable on her. I don't see why people hate it just because it's "so simple", a outfit doesn't always have to be complicated to be beautiful.
For my favorite I would say, both her Ladybug form, Multimouse, Ice bug and Dragonbug.
I'm definitely not a fan of Ladybee (for me her ponytail is way too big and I don't appreciate the top ) , Pegabug and Pennybug (except her hair for Pennybug).

The Cat Miraculous makes everyones eyes green. That's what gives them night vision
All of the outfits were designed to be as basic as possible for marinette because that's what she craves most deep down in her soul simplicity. This causes her to not have much to get in her way costume wise so. It's also ironic because of all the ladybug users we've scene her lucky charms are also the most elaborate do to her mind state being in constant choas.
To expand on this I feel this is why pennybug is so elaborate because when she used this it was 3 miraculous which could be affecting her mind hence the more elaborate costume design add on top of that being affected by risk at the time aswell.
10:32 "It's perfection." I wonder if you are aware of the cleverness of that line since the dragon miraculous is supposed to represent perfection. It would be ironic if this costume didn't reflect that.

There's a reason her main ladybug outfit is basic, when she first transformed she didn't really know superheroes, or want to be one, but when everyone else first transformed they wanted to be superheroes so they put more effort into their outfits :)
Yeah and we also know they can change their outfits if they want to, like when chat changed his to disguise himself and Rena too. Maybe Marinette just doesn't want to change her outfit anymore or just doesn't care about it, because at the end of the day being ladybug is still very pressuring for her.
I think the reason the original outfit is so simple is because it was the beginning of the show and of course there are doubts about how it would perform and they may not have had the resources to make it better, but by the time they could, that outfit was already established and they couldn't change it, hence why she has that extra outfit when she makes the charms. Idk whether or not this is accurate, this is just what my first thought was
honestly they could hv just made her “lucky charm upgrade” outfit her new regular outfit, it would still make sense anyway (or at least to me)
My issue with LB's outfits almost always boils down to too many spots. You can make a good design based off of a ladybug without drowning the design in spots. Like for her ice power up, it's cool that they added fur but it's weird that the fur on her ankles doesn't highlight a transition to something else if that makes sense. Like they could have made her feet burgundy with no spots or something, and she'd look like she's wearing boots. But for something like Dragonbug, I love that they made the spots larger and used WAY fewer of them. The design is much better for it
I think what went wrong with ladybugs is that it doesn't really go with her personality, because marinette is very, um... prepared and her civilian alfit is like a lot , she wears a jacket and a little bag and it just doesn't seem that similar between the two😕
My favourites Ladybug's fusion with other Miraculous are Dragon Bug, Pegabug and Lady Bee.
9:11 She can only use so many miracules at a time. It's very draining for her and it can actually over power her and like destroy her. That's why there are multiple holders in the first place.

You know, I think this the simpleness of ladybug and cat noir's outfits that make them so detailed. Its almost like, they are the standard, and all the other miraculous/ costumes are just random and supposed to not fit the standard. Not having all the bling and shine makes them look like the leaders, and the og's.

i think the reason why adrien and alya's costumes were more detailed because it was kind of a one time thing and ladybug is shown like about every episode. making the details for each episode would take too much time so thats why ladybugs costume is simple

I can see where you're coming from with pennybug's outfit having a lot. It didn't bother me much tho. The shoulders I think are supposed to be like puffed sleeves on a ball gown because of the horse miraculous being fashionable.

The "Lucky Charm" / Guardian costume is OK though it does look like she's wearing cycling shorts in some views.
Cosmobug is cool if she'd wear it on the ground for longer with the helmet retracted, she doesn't though.

The only thing I don't like about the Ladybug outfit Space version is that she doesn't really have a helmet, it's just a mask, which doesn't really protect her in space, so if she were to go for real I think her head would blow up, idk
Why wasn't Pega bug named Appaloosa. you know the famous horse breed with spots on them, and you could argue since it's a fusion they want to combine the names. However why does the name have to be smushed together all wierd when it's fused but when a different person is using a miraculous it has to be completely different.

The only thing I really like about Pennybug is how they gave her the Sailor Moon Odango Buns, since MLB has some Sailor Moon inspiration and there's no Miraculous more perfect to reference it with than the Bunny Miraculous. That was a creative and GOOD choice. Everything else about the outfit? Nah fam those shoulders are TOO MUCH.

BRO i was also so pissed when her chat noir fit made her eyes green like they could have been sm better as blue eyes, and from the recent episodes in season 5 when ( a specific someone) transforms as chat noir their eye color is YELLOW meaning that the cat eye colors can change and dont necessarily need to be green.
For marinates og outfit I think it’s probably simple because her lucky charm is also similar pattern except for the neck maybe it’s something to do with that

hi, this is a old video (kinda) but i just wanted to explain why ladybug didn't use the dog miraculous. so she and basically everyone in paris were affected by risk, and ladybug wouldn't have been able to use it because of it. she needed someone without the mark, so she goes to felix (she thought it was adrien) and gives the dog miraculous to him.
I unconditionally love DragonBug outfit. I might be biased because I love Longg 😀 The gold just adds so much to the ladybug design and the dragon miraculous outfit are always great. (Glad you also love it!)
