Yes, but he saw it as a necessary evil. Grievous was a disgusting, yet; effective tool to give the separatists an evening ground to face the thousands of Jedi across the Galaxy.
@@EwingAmaterasuhe actually hated sloppy fighting to the max . Hence why he speaks so elegantly and fights elegant aswell . He felt the sloppiness was a disrespect and a weakness, and grievous was the sloppiest fighter ever . But grievous proved him wrong cause he instantly started racking up Jedi . Let’s not forget the general murdered over 200 Jedi . His sloppy fight style was taken lightly by everyone .
@@garlicbread7129 This is another reason I really hate his portrayal as a mustache twirling villain in the '08 series. If we remain consistent with Dooku's xenophobia from the novels, then Grievous' constant failures at the hands of 2nd and sometimes even 3rd rate Jedi would only make the Count all the more embedded in his belief that Grievous was an abomination. At least with the '03 version, he would display his worth as a fighter and tactician. (Coming from someone who loves the '08 version as well).
@@Justinian7290 I agree with this. Grievous was an acceptable herecy for Dooku because he could compete with the highest tier of Jedi (council members). It doesn't make sense for him to be so weak in the 08 clone wars and at the same time an acceptable asset for the Separatists. In the 03 series he was a genius level strategist and an unstoppable force even in lightsaber duels against multiple Jedi.
@@Justinian7290Dookus xenophobia is something we shouldnt remain consistent with though. His master and many of his friends in the jedi order were aliens, as well legendary Sith before him. Nearly all CIS leaders were aliens and Dooku seemed to have respect for the geonosians in episode 2. The novel writers had no idea what they were doing.
I ADORE THAT HERE GRIEVOUS SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE RICHARD MCGONAGLE FROM CLONE WARS 2003 Is my personal headcanon that in Legends Grievous originally sounded like richard & got his Mattew Wood voice after Windu crushed his lung(similar when in TMNT 2012 Leo got his Seth Green's voice after gettin severaly wounded in the NY invasion)
That's a pretty cool headcanon. I remember when I first saw Grievous in the 2008 CW show, I was kind of sad that he already had his cough. 2008 CW had some great plots but '03 definitely delivered a superior version of Grievous and at least explained his cough and to a degree his voice if you chose to interpret it like this
It goes even further in _my_ head-canon. As you mentioned, this is after Windu force crushed his lungs. It wasn't just a simple voice shift for the poor General. Considering that Grievous was a means to an end, Sidious decided to secretly down-grade some of his cyberrnetic parts & mixed in some mind-altering chemicals to radically change his psychology. That's why he died like a dog in Episode III.
A canonical representation of Lord Tyranus instructing General Grievous in the ways of lightsaber combat. Rumor is he learned that missionary fleeing stance from Sifo-Dyas Late Merry Christmas, everyone! Subscribe if you enjoyed :) Also, Grievous has his 2003 Clone Wars voice. His ROTS and 2008 TCW voice just did not want to work correctly, unfortunately. Shame, I feel like that voice would've been way funnier to meme with. Hope y'all enjoy, regardless.
in reality, Dooku saw grevious as a monstrosity. He absolutely hated looking at him.

Once again serious halfway through and that kills it for me
Congratulations!
It's my trademark. Like Jesse Pinkman using chili powder when cooking up a batch of meth

Should have made the title "Grievous is trained in the jedi arts by count dooku"
the grievous art looks insane
Thank you for using original Grevious voice.

Lmaoooo had me in the first half! This is perfect
Nice Star Wars Bounty Hunter reference
I was rewatching the other videos of you channel and suddenly this appear, what a timing.
Btw, incredible that you used the 2003 Grievous voice.
Thanks Elsombreros! Glad you liked the video/voice :)
Ironically this is not that far from what I imagined pre-cyborg Grievous sounded like.
ASITHMETIC!? 😭😭😂😂
Good to see you on another video merciless :)
@@Justinian7290WORD!! 😎👍🏿🔥
laughing
admit it
we all are
How did you get the OG Grievous voice?
lol, the Dooku voice is just about Spot On but can’t say the same for Grievous.😆👍🏼✌🏼
Dooku was impressed with what grevious could do and did believe he was skilled. But he also saw him as an abomination and as nothing more than a tool.
Please make more, many more!
2:45 oh my
😂 lol this is almost identical to another skit vid I watched except that is Grievous the one suggesting the absurd ideas. What a coincidence.
You went a step ahead tho 😂
Using that Legends voice & lore with TCW visuals is 1 hell of a paradox. Off.
Was really good until it got to 1:46.
Asithmetic. 😂
Omg lol
George Lucas would be proud. Far superior to the Disney garbage.
