Love this conversation… being an “empath” you can definitely pick up on things… it is a superpower and a burden at the same time. I love what Jordin said about energy and intention. As an introvert… if I am not “charged” my energy is waaaaay off.. i.e. I can be short or I can be cold but it doesn’t equate to a negative intention, its me guarding the remaining energy that I have if any at all. I do feel I am a good judge of character as a result of my personality type (INFJ), being an old soul, and being an empath; it all works together. What usually makes me correct in being a good judge of character is that I always watch people’s actions and allow a story to be painted with everything that I have observed.

I actually had a friend confront me the other day about not having a combative friendship with me and I personally don’t think they realize that anytime there’s been a situation where we’re being serious the energy gets so like over the top dark and disrespectful and I don’t like people who project their energy onto me when I am not into confrontation ! I am anti confrontation so when drama or disrespect comes my way I disengage! Your delivery diminishes your message… and your energy dismisses any point of there being a conducive environment to converse in an adult manner

I'm a very intuitive person by nature (similar to Jordan), but I also make sure to speak to people too, so it's no misunderstanding either. Because things can easily be misinterpreted. So I know where we're at.
I am the biggest energy reader it comes naturally im extra sensitive, empath & a Pisces I legit live breathe emotions and feel everything so intensely even other peoples feelings at times! Reading peoples energy isn't always fun but it certainly helps you adjust how you deal with them. For example, at my job its a lot of I could care less energy, unbothered uninterested energy, a little bit of jealousy but curious energy, and unfortunately outright fake energy. Its literally everywhere. Im too genuine , wise, and self-loving to read this energy and engage with it. I stay to myself and do my job communicating with only a hand full of people "on that level" I do not join cliques, spread rumors all over the building, & im not the hot topic co worker whose having sex with the other co worker or flirting with every male co worker who gives me attention. I've clicked with all the best people who give me genuine vibes and only messed up ONCE so far bc one of the pple I clicked with and confided in a bit also wanted to be apart of other cliques at the job and to me that can and will get messy. So I simply dropped her. Im very private and I keep it cute and respectful but everyone knows for sure I don't mess with them. No one gets special treatment rather you're a higher position or right on my level. I will be alone before I force myself to constantly interact with energy that is just not real or good for my soul. If that makes me seem "cold" or "stuck up" im totally fine with letting them believe what they want. Reading energy puts you one step ahead of the game. Its helpful but not always fun. But at least no one ever comes up to me and try me or think they can speak to me crazy cuz I play with none. Not even managers or bosses. As an empath myself, like the lady above, I can't really help but feel how others feel and it isn't hard to read them per se but some people need more emotional attention then others and it can lead to me feeling burned out. Reading people's energy and judging them are not the same. I can tell someone is angry at something, but I know they may not necessarily be short tempered or rude. It can be hard in everyday life to see people being rude or harmful because we are quick to reach for our phone or assume they're toxic but some people are just on a thin thread and they take it out on everyone. A lot of the time we judge people in order to protect ourselves but I do think when you're looking for negative enrgy you will find it and will try to protect yourself too much at that point and further alienate yourself.
