Wow! Eduardo that was phenomenal, the 11 minutes went way too fast as I was totally immersed in your world. The intro was beautifully shot and composed, wouldn't expect any less from you. Of course India is a paradise but you were finding all the best compositions still and this elevates your photos of a place above many others work. Loved the commentary as I don't think you spoke too much, it was just the right amount, setting up the camera so we could see you in action was the cherry on top. This is the best POV Street video I've seen so far from anyone, kudos.
You probably aren't aware or even realized how important has been your constant support to me. It means a lot, more now with my new YT endeavours. I am glad you enjoyed it, and happily surprised that the video felt short. Cheers mate!
@@eortizfoto I could have easily watched it for an hour!
So glad that I have stumbled upon this channel.
I have watched so many street photography channels, and in my opinion none of them explain the craft and mindset like you do.
Also, your images are so rich in colour and very captivating.
I am currently in a phase of my photography where I am learning new ways to become more creative and tell stories with my images… your content is helping me greatly in my quest.
Thank you for your dedication, your skills and willingness to educate. ✌️
Wow, thank you for your beautiful words!
Glad to know that my work helps some people out there.
Good luck in your photography journey!
This goes to show you that you really don't need the latest or the most expensive gear to take the good photos. This camera is from 2016 but the photos are like no other. It is all about what you capture, not what you capture it with!!!
You Goddamn Right!! Cheers man! I’m glad you enjoy my work
Woah… first 12 seconds and my jaw dropped. Amazing.
Oh man, thanks. I really appreciate you enjoy my content.
You are an absolute magician! I'm so glad you've created this TH-cam channel, the best thing to come out of 2022!
Wow thanks a lot for your support! It fuels my will to keep bringing more material. Cheers buddy
Love from Kolkata, you have captured so many things which we, Kolkata(at least most of us) folks generally overlooked as it is so natural to us
Kolkata is an amazing place to photograph. One of my favourites in the entire world. Cheers bud
I like the fact it's a POV that has the images to back it up - a rarity with TH-cam POV Street Photography Videos.
Man thanks as always for the support! I’m glad you like my shots! ❤
You are professional. Not like other, who tke potrait and building photos
Every style of phorography has its difficulties. I'm good in the streets but I suck with portraits haha
I really love the narrative of your thinking behind the photos, I’ve learned a lot watching your videos. Your videos remind me of how photography is really about living and experiencing the world through different perspectives
Thanks for your beautiful comment! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. And even more glad that you got something to feed your own practice. Cheers!
Maravilloso, súper entretenido!! Gracias por subir este tipo de contenido 🙌
Muchas gracias!! Me alegro te haya gustado. Saludos desde Buenos Aires
Damn good video, and excellent shots throughout. Love your interaction with the locals too.
More to come! Thanks a ton for watching 😊😊😊
Love your POV videos. Keep them coming.
Glad you like them! more to come! cheers
Beautiful!! so well done! keep them coming Eduardo! Vamos! 😉
Will do! Stay tuned! And thanks for watching 😊
Really love this episode. For me its a perfect symphony of fleeting video moments and still camera pictures. Also love the minimal voice over and the little educational moments in this video. Keep doing these kind of videos, even though its a lot of work for just 11:29 outcome. Can't wait to see more
Thanks a lot for the support! And indeed, it’s a lot of work but it’s worth every second. I’m glad how this came out. Cheers man! Take care
Your work is superb. Framing, separation, foreground and background, colours, light, story telling......you have it all. Just brilliant 👏👏
Wow such a beautiful comment! Glad you think so. Cheers bro
Stumbled on this... and boy oh boy!! I enjoyed every moment of your narrative ❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate it!
Hi Eduardo. Thanks for sharing this. I'm originally from Kolkata and I absolutely loved this. Brilliant work my friend! I always used to tell people that my home city is ready for street photography 24/7 and 365 days a year :) I resonate with your style and appreciate how you spend time in a frame and in many ways respect the scene in front of you. Also, i'm also a fellow Fuji shooter and love the 23mm focal length :) Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks a million for watching, and so glad that someone local enjoyed it. I appreciate it man. yeah, 23mm is a great focal length but gotta say that 28mm is my personal favourite Cheers bro! best regards
.
Soo soo amazing. When I saw at the thumbnail, I knew this video would be great. And thats true.
I'm glad you like it! and thanks a million for watching!
Just found your channel last night. What spectacular places you’ve shot in! Are you using Fuji’s for the video montages-near the end of this one? I enjoy those with your narration as much as the rest of your work. Really great stuff-thanks for sharing!
yes, I use an old x-e3 for the video montage. Hope I get enough money soon to buy a better video camera to upgrade the quality of my videos.
Great colours, great composition...
Thank you so much 😀! Cheers bud!
Beautiful work
Thank you so much 😀!!! Regards!
Eduardo, brilliantly done. U did an amazing job capturing the essence of kolkata (and this is coming from an Indian)
I’m so glad to hear that. Hope I’ll be back to your beautiful country soon
Great video and shots. Nice to hear your ‘live’ thoughts while composing the shots. Kolkata is on my list, and my first full frame camera on the way so I can’t wait to start shooting. Keep it up. Hello from Singapore.
Full frame won’t make you a better photographer. Enjoy the camera but focus on developing your vision mainly. Cheers!
great shots mate!
Thanks a lot! And huge thanks for watching!
Man, you’re good!!!
Thank you!
beautiful work!! i live here and love the way you have portrayed the place...as a fellow fuji shooter, I wish u all the best... and next time you are in town would love to join you on a photowalk. :)
Wow! I'm honoured that someone local like what I did. Let's keep in touch, I'll be back for sure!
@@eortizfoto you are on 😇
haha thanks bud @@kaibalyadey7544
So amazing photography and very beautiful video production.
Thank you very much!
Love it
First scene was superb. Documentary was top notch. Photos always first class.
Thanks a million! 😊
Amazing images. Very inspiring!
Thank you so much bud! Cheers!
Very joyful and inspiring work Eduardo! Looking forward to seeing more.
I really love the colors in the photos and I wonder if it is based on any film simulations and if you can share a bit about your editing process in general.
Huge thanks! Mhh I’m thinking about making an editing video indeed. I don’t use any film simulation, just edit my raw files using capture one.
@@eortizfoto thank you for the response, looking forward, keep up the good work! 😊
These videos are really good Eduardo, pls make some more :)
Thanks a million for the support. I'm on it :)
Awesome
Thanks!
Amazing…great images 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
FANTASTIC
Glad you think so!😮
This is brilliant 👌
Thanks a million man!!
Man this is soooo sooo good - shivam
You’re so good!
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely photography, very inspirational. I'm off to India in February and am doing my research. 📷
Best of luck! Hope it’ll be awesome
The picture at 1:31 is my favourite. So so good. Another great video mate :)
I’ll use that shot on my IG feed today then. Thanks man! 😊
Phenomenal shots!
Following you for quite some time now, and I was hoping that you're going to upload VIDEOS about Street photography. Since your appearance in one of Gareth Danks Istanbul Videos, I was even more curious about your way of approaching street photography.
nigk wese is greeting you from Berlin!
Man thanks a million for your comment! Thanks for watching and stay tuned 😊😊😊
beautifullll
Thank you! Cheers!
I found the channel from your unerrated instagram profile just a few minutes ago. This is superb. Apart from the truly amazing photos what strikes me most is how comfortable you are talking and taking pictures at the same time while people stare at you. One question. Considering the aperture numbers you use I assume you use manual focus and zone focusing ? Damn that was like a small seminar on how to use the 23mm.
You’re right! I try to use zone focus most of the time. When I go below f8 I tend to back button focus and recompose. The xpro2 has never let me down. Thanks a million for commenting. I just uploaded a new episode btw! Cheers
Thank you for sharing your experience 😊. We also plan a trip to India. Did you stay healthy?
Thanks for watching. Well I spent 6 months in India and got sick more than a couple of times. It’s normal. It happens to almost everybody. I didn’t take much care either I always ate in the streets. As far as you stay away from fresh salads (which is rare to fin btw) or juices you should be fine.
Hello Eduardo, love your work, it instantly stood out to me, and I never subscribe to most people that do street photography, your work instantly speaks. Anyways, i just wanted to know with Fujifilm film simulations do you use for your photos because I love the specific look they have! Thank you
Hi there! thanks for watching!
well, I shoot RAW but I start editing my shots using the different simulations as "starting" points. Especially Provia, Astia and Velvia (in that order, provia being the main one)
Beautiful photos!!! are you a tourist, or do you live there? I loved the style of the video, very documentary like. Please make some more!!!!! Subscribed.
I was a tourist and stayed almost two weeks in Kolkata. Although I rather call myself a “traveller”. Thanks for watching! Cheers 🫡
Don't stop bro
Thanks man! I won’t !
Lovely, did you chest mount the pov camera? If yes, do you feel it makes people a little too wary of you while you sre around them?
Yeah I do so, I use and old Osmo action I and a cheap sub-brand chest mount. I think people barely notices it when I'm making sure to wear a dark/black t-shirt.
Hey Eduardo, do you usually use the ovf of the xpro to compose the photos or do you prefer the evf?
I use both depending on the scene. When it’s bright and the light is constant I often switch to the ovf. When I need to nail focus I use the evf… I mainly use the ovf with flash tho
Great photos, do you use recipes or do you post edit all your photos
Thanks for watching! I don't use any recipe. I only shoot in RAW and edited using Capture One.
HI Edurardo love from india , at 7:38 was your best shot
Thanks for watching!!
I agree with what everyone is saying in the comments! Absolutely outstanding street photography work! Some of the best I have seen for a while! Love your channel too, please continue to make more films!
Do you have a website? The link in your description is broken.
Wow, thank you! I’ve read some of your comments and they’re all so nice and supportive. I’m glad you’re enjoying my work. As for the website, I am having a little issue with my bank account atm. Hope I’ll be online soon. I’m about to announce a photo book and some workshops to be held in several cities worldwide. Stay tuned and thanks a million again!
@@eortizfoto Books and workshops?!?! Sounds good!!!
@@kurtkgledhill yeah, I’m a preparing a photo zine called “understanding colour”, it’s almost done. There are upcoming workshops in Istanbul and other cities. Probably from October this year. Cheers man, and thanks for the compliments. Do appreciate them
@@eortizfoto Sounds great! Please let me know when it's ready and I would love to purchase a copy!
you are much better in videography.
Thank you I guess XD
Hey bro what did you use to film the intro? GoPro or your Fuji cam?? Looks amazing!
Hey man! I used an old xe3 and a tripod. I don’t have a proper video camera yet. Thanks for watching!!
Great video! Did you just go there to shoot on a short holiday? Everyone in the video seemed to be not bothered by you pointing a camera at them, they look at you and look away, or just keep looking at you... did anyone ever say anything to you?
First, thanks for watching!. I spent two weeks in Kolkata. I’m a full time traveller btw, never considered myself a tourist. So far, It’s been only one time someone got angry at me in my 4 into street photography. I move freely without asking permission, but I’m always trying to be aware that I’m not disturbing the people. Sometimes I think eye contact elevates a pictures, sometimes I avoid it. What’s remains the same is the fact I never stage a shot. When you come to people with a smile you get the best of out them. Approaching strangers is much easier than it seems.
@@eortizfoto That's awesome, do you mind if I ask what you do for a living? Full time traveler sounds amazing! Thanks for the reply!
I'M LIVE IN KOLKATA
Lucky!! 🤗🤗🤗
Can you mention the spots you visited
Kolkata… sorry it was about two years ago, I don’t remember the names.
Howrah bridge. I am from Kolkata.
So nice I love Kolkata, you’re like to be from there 🤗
Nice snap shooting but the man who combing his hair definitely does not want to be photographed.
Don’t think so. I don’t remember that was the case.
Nice music, nice compositions, nice videography as well, but I feel that the images are over saturated and the local adjustments are being overdone. Keep up the good work. Also, just because people are poor does not mean that their consent is not needed. You have a short focal length, which means that you are almost in the face of your subject, and to see them looking at you like a deer in headlights is very disheartening, as it shows that foreigners see Indians as objects more and less as people with feelings that need to be respected.
Hey there! Thanks for watching!, I don’t add any saturation on my editing process. The colours pop because their relationships. And I’m usually into shooting eye catching colour palettes. I don’t shoot homeless or people under uncomfortable situations btw. Also, when feel I’m not welcomed I just walk away. I even show the shots to the people so that they understand what I am doing. Most of the people don’t know a thing about street photography. That’s why they’re curious. I’d be curious too if a stranger comes with a camera and get close to me. I don’t think the fact I’m foreigner makes a huge difference. A lot Indians think I’m Indian hehe.
Care others privacy
I do, why you think I do differently?
If you can’t get closer to people is your problem. I asked the people having a shower if it was ok and they invited me, I even had some tea with them afterwards, anf gave them the pictures.
I’m a big fan of that format man..! It’s so inspiring ! Keep going ! Can’t wait the next one!
@margot_lrz.
Thanks a lot for watching and the support! Stay tuned, cheers :)
