Damn that's tough! My mother was the same way (she's gone now). I was a very heavy smoker and struggled so hard to quit for good in 2005. I still miss it, I think we always will. Best of luck to you!
My answer to the title question. Going to a special needs school. I have a minor learning disability and when I first went to primary school my social worker at the time suggested I go to a special needs school and it ended up being absolute hell. Whenever I would have any kind of tantrum I would be dragged to a timeout area, punched, kicked screamed at, etc. by the teachers, it got so bad that I had made multiple comments about wanting to take my own life which were usually laughed off and not taken seriously. Thankfully for me my mum got work in another area and as a result I had to be temporarily moved to the local school and the school I went to there was a much more understanding and helpful place for me to be and as a result I went to that school full time and it completely turned my life around. I am pleased to say my first school has now been shut down after its malpractice came to light as well as the fact that none of the staff were trained in working with special needs kids.
Pro tip - school is not the most important part of life. If you fuck up there are still plenty of opportunities going on. It will be harder but you will not die. That's bs.
You can work all odd jobs like fast food chains, restaurants and other establishments but you can't do professional jobs like doctors, Engineers, corporate labourers etc if you drop out of school. I'd say at least clear your school, even tho it's true people have become presidents without having any formal education. I'll say it depends on luck a lot.
I don't understand how customers don't understand that I, person behind counter, am not required to sell to you. I can refuse service. If you're being belligerent I will just not sell to you and kick you from my store, and if you don't leave on your own you will leave with the police.
Not taking care of my teeth when I was younger / being able to afford to go. Now I'm in my late 20s dealing with pain, just had a root canal and I get to be in agony for the next week while waiting for a crown. TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH!!! you will regret it
Not me but a guy I'm acquainted with through work had been smoking from a VERY early age and developed into a total chain smoker later on. Got told a year ago that his lungs are almost non-existent anymore and he'd be lucky to live long enough to see his oldest daughter graduate. And the worst part is he didn't quit so there's no chance he's making it to graduation. Guy's only in his early 30's too, breaks my heart man.
@@NifDbzAvatarSpartan From what he told me he snuck individual cigarettes from his parents when he was a kid (idk exactly what age but sounds like late elementary/middle school age) and got the whole "make you smoke the whole pack to make you sick of them" deal. Sorta worked until it became his ticket into the cool kids circle and it just became an everyday thing for him afterward. By the time I met him he was smoking a minimum of two packs per day. Bascially unless he was told not to at work or sleeping, he always has a cigarette lit. Edit: Also I'm rooting for you man, you can give it up! Isn't going to be easy but will be worth it!
Never getting my electricians license. I still did the job in areas where working with a licensed company was enough but I never advanced in the career
Sheeit. When i left home, i left at 18 years old and 1 second lmfao. I didn't crawl. I RAN. 34 now, and my little sink or swim method worked tremendously.
Yeah fuck college lmao, no debt for me, living comfortably and financially well, and no job that would give me satisfaction in life requires a college degree. Sorry for those that were continuously lied to and bought it in high school.
Don't, I repeat, do NOT marry, unless you are sure, not in "lust" or fearing being alone. Help others if you can. Take care of yourself. If you need help, look for it, there are a lot of programs and/or people willing to help. Good luck.
31:57 omg this with my boyfriend's mom. His dad is super judgey too but for the most part keeps it to himself. Until he doesn't and then it's just a yelling fit about how everyone in the world is an idiot except him. Kinda reminds me of Red from That's 70s Show.
20:15 Story #39 is what a lot of us would do if we knew what the world was gonna be like before we were even born. I’d probs be like 22 from Pixar’s Soul and just reject the offer of ever going to Earth. Unfortunately, I never had the choice nor the control to do so.

Not going to vocational technical school when it was free, also not keeping up my grades just enough to qualify for vocational technical school when it was free in the 90s.. I could have been a chef by now.😂😂😂 Actually I'd like to own my own small janitorial business 🤷🏿♀️ I've been doing janitorial work for close to 30 years😂

Smoking is bad. I wish I had not smoked. Now I am attached to a oxygen cord 24/7 and can't walk to the bathroom without help.

Moving out and away from your parents youll find you will mature very quickly and be tired listening to friends that still stay ar home
Facts. I moved out at 18. I matured so fast. At 22 I feel like I'm 30.

I don't think the dude in story #13 actually loves his wife. Sounds quite literally like he settled. I feel sorry for that woman.

Kids, college isn't for every one for most people the debt isn't worth a degree they will do nothing with
Statistically they will earn 250k over a lifetime than you
@Rob-cy8xc ok.for the ones that will be successful and actually will use thier degree that's awesome.
@@Rob-cy8xc Except statistics don't show the full reality.
@@Rob-cy8xcbut the ones that got to their final year but couldnt graduate now earn less but with a load of debt.

One of the worst permanent life decisions I've made was trusting a sketchy dentist who drilled too much healthy tooth and caused irreversible damage.
Going to college. Hasn't helped me and left me with debt. It was a good major too
The pp story 😭 had to pause after that
