Hiking the GLENDALOUGH Spinc and Glenealo Trail in Wicklow Mountains National Park | IRELAND

Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, Ireland is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park, about a one hour drive south of Dublin.
Glendalough is the site of one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland, an early Christian monastic settlement that was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century.
Glendalough also has several hiking trails, the most spectacular of which is the Spinc and Glenealo Valley Walk. A 10 kilometre 3.5. hour circuit trail that follows the Spinc ridge overlooking the Glendalough Valley. I highly recommend anyone travelling to Ireland to do this half day trip from Dublin and experience the beauty of Ireland's landscape. Be sure to bring water, snacks, and appropriate clothing as it does get quite windy and can start raining at a moments notice.

It's a pretty long hike but if you take your time and go at a slow pace I'm sure you can manage. Bring lots of water and snacks for energy. Enjoy!
