It has stunning views of the river valley with gigantic trees all around. This trek, especially the white trail, is a must-do to get a complete feel of the nature around. The waterfalls, the trees, the lake, the deers and wooden trails coupled with golden green grass will leave you mesmerised. Come join me in this journey as I want to give you the experience of this entire place. .
I have divided this trek into 8 simple phases to plot a good picture of the entire trek. Hope you will enjoy this.

I remember it more than 50 years ago, long before it became a tourist trap. I used to hike thru there in the 60s. There were only local Irish people from there. No foreign tourists, no tourist buses, no tourist office, no facilities of any kind, no paths, no car parks. It was like it had been 100 years ago. Much nicer.

Thank you for sharing your experience. That’s really interesting to know. In that case there has definitely been a lot of changes with wooden tracks installed, car parks and food stalls. There are also dedicated buses that run from dublin to glendalough visitor center.

@@DeeptiKulkarni_ Yes I was there again 15 years ago and I couldn't believe how it had changed, all for tourism and money. I prefer to go to places untouched by so-called 'progress'.

Car parks are charged but the government hasn’t kept an entry free. You don’t have to buy a ticket to get into the hiking tracks. But yes it’s gained popularity. The day we went there were lots of people. Summary days are busy. I wouldn’t really call it untouched for the ways it’s now :)

@@DeeptiKulkarni_ most visitors only see the popular touristy spots which is a great pity. Find some Irish friends who know nice places where there are no tourists. They may even bring you to those touristy places when there are not so many tourists there. I like your videos, well done. You should come to Conamara sometime.

You should! It’s easy to get here. Take the glendalough bus from st Stephen’s green garden and in takes you to the glendalough visitor center. Hope this helped
