if i want to use a program like free scan do i need to download drivers for the usb cord ? and if so where are these drivers, i keep finding dead links.
Can you import from a file? This programming would take 5 years doing it manually. My Home Patrol II is way easier to program than this, also it has all the P25 frequencies built in for the entire country, and I can update those online very easily. I'm sure this probably receives very well (like my 125AT) but the programming is insane if you can't import a file.
It's really lame how uniden used a cheap entry level body for the mid and high range handhelds like this too. They should've just made a 396p2 instead of this monstrosity. They've really fallen off hard and it's pathetic. Thankfully Whistler has more than taken up the slack after buying out GRE.
I just bought this scanner and its a piece of junk i even paid bearcat to program my county Wichita KS Sedgwick county and it barely picks up any transmissions!
Why would you put a digital frequency in a non digital conventional system. You can't possibly hear anything from them. If you're making a video instructing people to do this then give the reason behind it. This can't be right.
You have to enter the P25 ones twice?! That's really stupid!

you only have to enter the freq. in one system in p25.

This is Conventional Channel programming, if you want those Channel to be Digital change the Audio Type to P25.
