I've been playing Overwatch since Sombra was released, and though I haven't played Paladins for as long, I enjoy both games alot. I personally think Paladins has more replayability with loadouts and items. I just wish the player base was bigger in Australia
I love both games, but I agree that paladins has more customization towards character playstyles. Making stupid wacky builds is my favorite thing to do
@@RiskyFriskyHandle I've tried it, I guess I'm just so used to Overwatch and other games that it's hard for me to play with a ping higher than my standard.
Hey fellow Australian, the player base is why I stopped playing paladins. The game was filled with bots/absolute noobs and nintendo switch players (apparently switch players are gone now, but having that setting on was the only way I ever got quick games). Every game felt like an absolute stomp to one side, it wasn't even close and it wasn't even my fault. This isn't even coping like it is with overwatch, because it was literally just a lottery based on who got more bots/switch players on their team. I'd also like to mention that Evie was bae, too bad the game was neglected and the player base died off.
One thing I like about Paladins more than Overwatch is the fact that you're locked on to the character you picked. No changing character mid-match. Which means, you actually get to play a game of Paladins instead of a game of non-stop counter-picks.
Yeah but this does create situations where one team just gets rolled due to not being able to swap. I think maybe having a couple characters you pick before the match begins and you can only swap to those heroes would be better than swapping forever or no swapping.
this is core to overwatch's loop so i doubt itll ever change. BUT id love to see them have ingame upgrades and/or loadouts like in paladins. that way theres more of a chance of "personalizing" your playstyle, whether for usability or for fun. imagine a "speed rhein build" or a "tanky reaper build". It could also help with balancing a champ, in that there will be less "non viable champs" and more "non viable builds" instead. to counter you might be able to pick antiheal, and give healers a portion of base antiheal reduction to prevent straight up denying heal. imbalance is both to be expected and a constant focus to fix for any pvp game dev really, so id rather pick the less impactful one. that said, maybe they will try out locked in heroes in the future, since they already made heroes less counterpick and more general with the team size reduction. but considering that being able to switch to a champ midgame greatly increases the value of paying real money for heroes, i doubt overwatch will add that, even if it'd improve gameplay. maybe they could take the P2W card system from paladins before it got changed to even it out XD
@@wtrflsh I think bringing over paladins trait esk system where you can pick different versions of a character is something I'd like to see in OW. Like maybe a soldier build for flanking that makes him run faster and self heal more or a build that counters pharah by doing more damage at longer ranges. simple stuff like that.
Great video. Seeing as he's a T500 tank player, you HAVE to get him back so he can try playing some of the Tanks in Paladins. Especially the really fun ones, like Azaan, Yago, Raum, and Atlas. Also, the noisy Buck bot getting stuck in the doorway had me rofl🤣
I would love to see him play tank on paladins. And also to maybe feel the Support effect in Paladins and get his handed to him on a silver platter by a support xD. Because everyone has had it happen to them a bit too often in Paladins xD
Having played both OW and Paladins, I've honestly come to like Paladins more. Not for any special aspect of gameplay or anything, though there are some things I like such as having a mount so everyone rejoins battle at the same rate (give or take Master Riding), it's mainly that Paladins has a science-fantasy element to it that Overwatch lacks, and which I am a sucker for.
As an ex masters OW player that switched to Paladins, I think paladins has WAY more room for actually having fun with the diverse champs, maps, cards, and abilities. Support is more fun, DPS has way more ways to mess around with the other team with dif champs, and tanks are WAY more fun than OW. It DID start as an odd OW clone but it actually turned into its own game in its early life to the point where I feel its actually a stand alone and calling it an OW clone is a gross oversimplification. I tried playing OW 2 for the first time the other week and I just played a few matched and its like... thats it? Wheres the char customization, the champ diversity? its way too boring for me to go back to OW 2 now, not only is it a cash grab, it feels like playing a game that was made for $$, not by people who love playing it themselves. Keep in mind that I've played OW from the open beta and I've made 10+ accounts for certain chars I wanted to main, put over 800-900 hours into it with all my accounts, loved the game at the time but when I seen a youtube vid awhile back about paladins it dragged me in and actually made me enjoy the game, even sometimes when i lose after trying to carry, I dont (sometimes I do) get super tilted because I had fun. FINAL POINT, they add new chars and skins every update, and they actually care about champs that get left in the dust and they revamp / buff them (like katsumi) even with the 30+ or however many champs they have. its not perfect but you can TELL the devs looove playing this game as well.

Overwatch could be worth a shot, but no game is perfect. Right now we are dealing with an issue with Mauga, the new tank, being an unkillable brick wall and an annoyance to face. This of course is only in higher play when everyone knows the optimized things to do.
Paladins is honestly my favorite game in the world. (Second to Lego Batman on the 360.) I was completely devastated when they got rid of the game on Nintendo switch so I the game is mid and perfectly rated, instead of underrated now. I play it on the computer now and it is actually kind of nice seeing one of my childhood games in good quality.
To everyone in the chat thats saying "Why not have him play tank in paladins if he plays tank in overwatch?" Alot of your skills carry over to whatever character you play generally, it doesnt matter what role or character you play
The game is great but the player base is so small that it takes 2-5 mins to find a game not only that after you find a match the game is over from the character select cause you can have people from bronze to diamond in the same lobby.
I played paladins years ago before ow. All I remember was playing as a goblin guy and getting endlessly hooked off the map. Then I vowed to never play the game again
Ster said, that Paladins should re-name themselves to get rid of the conditioning that paladins copies, overwatch. The Fox-Ghost-Girl was in Paladins first, and Overwatch turned the table on this one.
I think it's very telling that Overwatch 2 still has mostly negative recent & overall reviews whereas Paladins is still sitting on mostly positive reviews across the board.
I actually enjoy paladins but the convoluted Ui and layer structure for abilities just made it more of an headache to get used too, Overwatch has it's issues but the way it streamlines navigation is awesome be it missing a few prior promised features, Looking at you Blizzard -_-
when I finally tried paladins, it was fun at first. but once I played real people a few times, the knowledge gap, mixed with teammates and enemies that would much rather throw themselves aimlessly at any opposition was so bad. either I'd steamroll, or get steamrolled. also the knowledge gap is more so to the cards, buy phase, and all the different characters makes it feel unfair. like you probably told him what to buy and what to pick and what does what and yadayada. OW has this issue now, but only when it comes to characters. the customization is nice but you can end up losing and not knowing why, either making wrong assumption about exactly how good/bad a perk is, or because you don't even know what the enemy did. but hey, it's free. so It's fun to get, dick around, hopefully have friends to play with cause playing with new players is miserable, then uninstall cause this game lacks a lot of polish
As an OW player i think Paladins its more fun cause you dont need your team to do any little thing, but i personally feel Paladins much less polished, I don't know, the hitboxes feel poorly made on certain occasions, and the feedback in game is not the best, i personally enjoy more ow cause its more polish in the details, and for me, it feels a way more good, but Paladins its actually more fun
Honestly I miss the time that I played paladins idk if I can cause it's part of my life playing ow2 I mean like ido it daily also idk if I can get the same feeling that I used too it will make me sad I did think in the last like month abou paladins way more then I usually do

It is the Miitopia world 1 fight music
Maybe not world 1 I forgor
i almost shit my pants when i heard the omega strikers ost, awesome game
went to see if anyone else recognized it
Paladins is honestly my favorite game in the world. (Second to Lego Batman on the 360.) I was completely devastated when they got rid of the game on Nintendo switch so I the game is mid and perfectly rated, instead of underrated now. I play it on the computer now and it is actually kind of nice seeing one of my childhood games in good quality.
2:30 Skip the chaos
Nvm, the chaos never ended.
I love paladins. The only thing I really dislike about it is how floaty everything feels.
"I am currently uninstalling the game"
As a Paladins player, that's the wisest decision.
To everyone in the chat thats saying "Why not have him play tank in paladins if he plays tank in overwatch?"
Alot of your skills carry over to whatever character you play generally, it doesnt matter what role or character you play
Fun fact: enemy Willo can and WILL-o say “It’s just a prank, bro!” If you kill her
Yeah I did know this...
Such a cringe line! 😆
I love your videos even i don't play Paladins anymore... I think i will try it again😿💕
This blew up. Good job 👍
Thank you 👍
The game is great but the player base is so small that it takes 2-5 mins to find a game not only that after you find a match the game is over from the character select cause you can have people from bronze to diamond in the same lobby.
I played paladins years ago before ow. All I remember was playing as a goblin guy and getting endlessly hooked off the map. Then I vowed to never play the game again
Lol rolled.
All jokes aside don't play ruckus. Dude isn't that fun imo
He said plzz and he's friend be like: i need a break from the Overcrap 2 xd
I got back into Paladins and the first 4 matches had me dominating the entire enemy team and I felt bad for them. Then I realized it was all bots
Ster said, that Paladins should re-name themselves to get rid of the conditioning that paladins copies, overwatch. The Fox-Ghost-Girl was in Paladins first, and Overwatch turned the table on this one.
This gameplay was recorded some time ago, didn't the rework lex's ult?
This was recorded just before the valor's end update
I think it's very telling that Overwatch 2 still has mostly negative recent & overall reviews whereas Paladins is still sitting on mostly positive reviews across the board.
If paladins don't have tracer/ lucio ion want it
Our tracer is a tank and we dont have a wall rider, but we got wall climbers and wall latchers...
yeah who am i kidding no lucio here
@@thamontine tank tracer sounds broken as hell
@@vihtas kinda? I suggest looking into it! His name is Atlas. Pretty good champ!
@@thamontine I might check him out, ty
@@thamontine i might, ty. Also w answering a comment on such an old video.
Paladins is my go to game, before my friend bought me OW. I wish I had a friend to play Paladins again, I can't go solo q
Why do I see DBD rank 1 Killer badge in the thumbnail tho ?
That used to be my icon, as i was a dbd content creator. Changed my channel logo to the firehead guy just recently!
7:21 GOGO GADGET PIXEL ENHANCER!
OH THANKS SO MUCH
I LOVES THIS VIDEO THANKS FOR THIS MOMENT
I enjoyed where the skins were a bit cheaper than any game that's a win
I used to love paladins but never got into it because of the ranked queue times
Haven't had that issue, but I guess it's cause of the times I play
What’s the song used at the end it’s a heater
Battle: Neksdor - Miitopia
It’s the lack of polished hitboxes that kills the enjoyment for overwatch players, good game tho would play more if they fixed hitboxes
muy bonito el video :D estoy segura que se divirtio! I play both and feels paladins more fun
Thank you so much! :D
if only a lot more people play the game and the devs decided to upgrade the graphics
Your friend is like me trying paladins
Barik is a better engineer than Torbjorn. Barik also has a TF2 Engineer skin
I miss playing Paladins
...its still a live game.
just go play it
@@thamontine I cannot play it, don't have the time
that's crazy, I can't believe it.
I can't believe someone would play tank in OW.
It's a shocker, I know
I actually enjoy paladins but the convoluted Ui and layer structure for abilities just made it more of an headache to get used too, Overwatch has it's issues but the way it streamlines navigation is awesome be it missing a few prior promised features, Looking at you Blizzard -_-
I can get behind that. Although the complicated stuff makes me love the game more.
as a Genji diamond on console i enjoy Vatu so damn much
I wanna get better at him so bad
Bro what's up with the blurriness and pixelation..... unable to watch this video when it's like that
when I finally tried paladins, it was fun at first. but once I played real people a few times, the knowledge gap, mixed with teammates and enemies that would much rather throw themselves aimlessly at any opposition was so bad. either I'd steamroll, or get steamrolled.
also the knowledge gap is more so to the cards, buy phase, and all the different characters makes it feel unfair. like you probably told him what to buy and what to pick and what does what and yadayada.
Turns out pocketing a lex is broken af
As an OW player i think Paladins its more fun cause you dont need your team to do any little thing, but i personally feel Paladins much less polished, I don't know, the hitboxes feel poorly made on certain occasions, and the feedback in game is not the best, i personally enjoy more ow cause its more polish in the details, and for me, it feels a way more good, but Paladins its actually more fun
I have payed both games and personally I just find overwatch a lot smoother and more fun
I'm a high masters low gm tank player in ow i havent a single clue what im looking at lmao
Definitely not his first time. He literally admitted it
i legit forgot this game exsit i might return to play it for a little bit
Honestly I miss the time that I played paladins idk if I can cause it's part of my life playing ow2 I mean like ido it daily also idk if I can get the same feeling that I used too it will make me sad I did think in the last like month abou paladins way more then I usually do
Despite him being a tank player he went for flankers in paladins for some reason XD
I play both games but I generally have more of an easy time when I play paladins so I play it late at night when I’m dead inside
...as overwatch tends to do to ya 😆
