Hi again! I'm glad you liked this one more. I know you asked for later songs from Deftones, but I think you'd enjoy "My Own Summer" which is also on the Around the Fur album. And it's funny you mentioned Quicksand because their bassist, Sergio, actually became Deftones' bassist starting from their 2010 album, Diamond Eyes, all the way until 2021 because their original bassist, Chi Cheng, was in a horrific car accident in 2008 that left him in a coma for 5 years before he sadly passed away in 2013. I definitely would recommend "Diamond Eyes." It's such a great song. It's speculated that "Diamond Eyes" is dedicated to Chi. The album is amazing too. Thanks for the reaction :)
If you go back in their discography, the more metal/xcore/distorted it is, if you go forward its more dreamscape/shoegaze/melodic. Its really nice though because you can listen to Deftones in so many ranges for a spectrum of emotions. And if you arent feeling it you just head in a different direction :)
