Grundy arguably has the most graphic and gruesome death in this animated universe’s run because they actually showed the shadow of Cyrus Gold being forcibly transformed into Swiss cheese.

To demystify him is to destroy the essence of the character.

I remember reading in the original comics that he was a merchant. Gangsters took is wife and daughter hostage to black-mail him. When he couldn't pay the whole amount they killed all of them. But he never saw his family again which is why he came back to find them. If they had used the comic story line it really would have made alot more sense.

This is why Justice League and the Batman animated series were so good they could be dark and mature and at other times funny this is why the Justice League Action and most of the Batman series that followed are so annoying the writing has gone out the window and so for the most part has the animation with Young justice being one of the few exceptions.
So, we've got Namor, Dr Strange, and the Hulk ... all we need is the Silver Surfer and we've got the Defenders. And if memory serves, Amazo shows up later, so he's a pretty good Silver Surfer stand-in.
I always like this incarnation of Solomon Grundy. I say he wasn't really a bad guy as a zombie he just wasn't that smart. He died helping out the whole world which is the only way to go out as far as I'm concerned. I really hope he found his soul so to speak
The problem for grundy vs the hulk is that the hulk's power gets constantly greater the angrier he gets. So eventually the hulk will over power and then destroy Grundy enough to the point where the battle is over. Or simply do what other people do when Grundy gets too annoying, which is chuck him into orbit or somewhere else he can't be a bother for a while. I actually laughed when in Injustice: Gods Among Us Green Lantern tosses him into space.
The voice of Dr Fate is the voice of Osiris in Destiny 2. I'm certain of it. This actor gets lots of work. I think he was also in a short series of NCIS episodes highlighting Ziva.

Neither of them were nearly as big or as powerful when they first appeared. Grundy was pretty much just a zombie, he couldn't destroy buildings or lift cars yet.
EasyThere Pilgrim wrong hulk was based off of jekyl and Hyde and Frankenstein hence the shape of his head in his first appearance and Grundy was just a zombie. On another note DC and marvel have been copying each other's characters for a long time DC copied namor, Spider-Man, and man thing and marvel copied Catwoman,darkseid,and desthstroke just to name a few. Hulk is a copy of Grundy. Hulk was even grey at first.
Neither of them were nearly as big or as powerful when they first appeared. Grundy was pretty much just a zombie, he couldn't destroy buildings or lift cars yet.
EasyThere Pilgrim wrong hulk was based off of jekyl and Hyde and Frankenstein hence the shape of his head in his first appearance and Grundy was just a zombie. On another note DC and marvel have been copying each other's characters for a long time DC copied namor, Spider-Man, and man thing and marvel copied Catwoman,darkseid,and desthstroke just to name a few. Fun fact this episode is a homage to the marvel team the defenders the comic version Grundy is hulk Aquaman is namor dr.fate is dr.strange hawk girl is night hawk.
