- It is the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle of Formula 1, ex-racer Enzo Ferrari is in crisis. Bankruptcy threatens the factory he and his wife, Laura built from nothing ten years earlier. Their volatile marriage has been battered by the loss of their son, Dino a year earlier. Ferrari struggles to acknowledge his son Piero with Lina Lardi. Meanwhile, his drivers' passion to win pushes them to the edge as they launch into the treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy, the Mille Miglia.

I'm so happy to see Adam Driver finally fulfilling his last name with this movie 😂
In PATERSON, he played a bus driver.
Waiting for this comment😊
what about penelope CRUZ!!!
waited his whole life for this role!
Solid joke, and I had no idea that was him until I saw his name!
The physics on the cg crashes shots look kinda janky. Unless they get fixed, they will be a distraction.
yeah that shit took me out watching it in the trailer
I think the first one is practical but yeah that second one, at least in this crappy quality, looks rough. Some of the reviews have briefly mentioned some iffy CG, so I guess it is what it is ^^
Saw it at NYFF. Good movie and doesn't look too bad tbh. There's some weird ragdoll physics with a body in an early crash and a later (very disturbing) one, but the racing scenes are generally quite thrilling. It's also moreso a domestic drama anyways
@@moomoocowsly don't sugarcoat it, its crappy CGI from hell.
It’s terrible LOL
I love the synth that Michael Mann has in his movies. The soundtrack to Manhunter is amazing
what is the music trailer title ost?
Heat was a Phenomenal film. Best in its genre with a magnificent soundtrack.
Micheal Mann has superb vision and hearing. And taste.
@@rolandnelson6722 💯 the music accompanying some scenes gives me goosebumps
This ost is composed by Daniel Pemberton, the guy who did both Spiderverse films!! This film just jumped to the top of my most anticipated @@user-mb8jy3df4s
Especially the climax track from Moby. Everything was just perfect...@@rolandnelson6722
This movie looks really good even though some of the CGI shot looks pretty ugly and annoying, let's just hope they fix it soon or just cut it off out of the scene,
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this movie!
a movie about expensive car with a budget CGI effect🥲
They need to fix the CGI, terrible! Or shoot the shot again with a fake ferrari.
you realize that was not cgi
The one shot towards the end is CG. Rest is practical.
If they put these CGI in the Trailer, we can imagine that they are proud of them 😞 At 2:03, there's a big physical problem.1 ton projected car doesn't bounce on a post !
This looks really good and it’s great seeing Adam Driver doing more non-fictional movies 🔥
wasn’t Blackkklansman non-fiction?
@@aprilneal154was about to say this haha
This movie looks even better if we have Christian Bale and Matt Damon beating him in Ford GTs.
MORE!
Warning of Being Unequally Yoked To Unbelievers by Sensus Fidelium.
Dude that car flying up and hitting the telephone pole was hysterical. This looks so bad.
Looks like someone tossed a Hotwheels in the air.
Yes. The whole trailer looks like a low budget film.
@@diegoalves598Not by any stretch of the imagination
Even video games cannot match that flying car.
@@NewtFidoScamander- The CGI does look cheap tho.
The moment I saw "Michael Mann" I started getting goosebumps. This is going to be BEAUTIFUL.
I mean, the dude’s filmography speaks for itself:
Heat
The Insider
Collateral
The Last of the Mohicans
Same to me also, bro. We all are the same nest..
It really Is i Promise, A work of art!
Enzo Ferrari was, is and always will be the biggest legend in the history of car industry and motorsport. He may have been a very complex character but all great men in history have had complex personalities. One thing is for certain, Enzo had incredible determination and willpower to come through a very tough life and to fulfill his dreams despite all the difficulties and tragedies he had to endure. Nothing but huge respect for "Il Commendatore". I hope this movie is a worthy representation of this great man's life.
i look forwards to viewing it too.
(c) chatgpt
As far as names in the car business go, ALL-THINGS-CONSIDERED, Soichiro Honda was the "baddest motherfucker" of them all.
Compared to Mr. Honda, Enzo was an amateur.
Enzo was just a playboy. Soichiro was the DEFINITION, of "F#CK YOU. I'M GONNA BUILT IT BETTER".
And that, is a very hard to swallow pill.
As Enzo Ferrari said, “ask a child to draw a car, and certainly he will draw it red.” Noone is exited to drive a honda, but a Ferrari is more than a car, it is a legacy@@bonamin
@@sjorsuenk4026 Ferrari paints his car's red, because they usually caught on fire.
:D
Jokes aside, if you think noone is excited to drive a Honda, tell that to the MILLIONS of people who laugh like retards every time that VTEC kicks.
Tell that to those MILLIONS who drive Honda CBRs and CBs.
Tell that to those who drive NSXs.
-not hating on you-
but you don't actually know automotive history at all.
If you knew, you would actually have a different opinion. Ferrari has (and had) NOTHING on Honda. Both the companies, and their leaders. ESPECIALLY their leaders.
Ferrari died rich.
Honda died holding a wrench on his greasy hands.
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.
So yeah, to conclude, as playboys go, and painting cars red for kids to drool onto, ferrari was the man.
AS ENGINEERING, DETERMINATION, AND PURE BALLS, go, Honda was No.1, 2, 3 all the way to 10. The second guy was at place 11. :)
Ferrari (2023) Ford v Ferrari (2019)
It will be nice to watch them back to back.
Gotta throw the Lamborghini movie in there too.
@echthroi9 that one wasn't good but its still a entertaining watch
@@cbeattie778 cant forget Nissan in gran turismo all movies are great
The actor who protrayed Ferrari in Ford v Ferrari looked more like the real man.
fr
THIS is what a Michael Mann film does - you get shivers MONTHS before seeing the film - in Mann we trust!
Mann is a poor substitute for God
IN GOD WE TRUST 🙏🏽🙌🏾💯
I reeeeeally really hope some of the cars actually sound like Ferraris in the final cut. They have as big a role as the actors in my opinion
This perfectly encapsulates why so many of us are completely obsessed with Italian cars and Ferrari. This is exactly my kind of movie. It's about Dam time a movie about Ferrari got made. There's so much to tell. Over 70+ years of racing pitfalls and glory. I read about so much of it, in popular car magazines in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. Mr Enzo Ferrari also pissed off a lot of very wealthy industrialists who quickly became his competitors. Look at ISO Rivolta, Lamborghini, Monteverdi, Bizzarrini, just to name a few. Thank you.
I've seen the movie Ferrari(2023) and it takes places in Enzo's life from 1956 and 1957. About 90% of the movie is drama between Enzo, his wife and Enzo's mistress. The last 30 minutes of the movie is the Mille Miglia of 1957.
Mesut Özil would've slayed playing Enzo
Fuck so I'm not the only one who thinks they look alike
They are like twins
Too bad a goat from greece speaks better english than him lmfao
Younger Enzo*
Can he act though ?
Looks great. Apart from the crash at 2:01
Horrible CGI
The need to fix that CGI stat 😂
Gotta say, as expected, that crash looks far better when watching the trailer on Apple TV, IE much much less compression, and much higher quality than on here. Possible the shot isn't done in the trailer also.
I was shocked to see any obvious cgi considering who the director is.
I would never see it simply because of that.
This better be fucking good, Enzo is a giant among men in the racing community, having him acknowledge you was like being seen by God. Adam has some HUGE shoes to fill. I really REALLY hope this is good
The trailer isn’t great which isn’t a good sign
sorry who tf are you to make these claims?
Also hope it's good because Mann hasn't made a truly great film in two decades. His last one was eight years ago (after a six-year wait) and it was mostly crap. If this one isn't at least decent by Mann standards, he may be done.
@@silentkiller4091 I'm not, have you listened to anyone who ever came in contact with him? There are stories about him eating with his engineers/drivers. He would be silent and just eating, he would move to grab some table salt and the room would go silent. Not only did he change after he lost his son, busy after he lost Gille Villeneuve he was a husk. Few saw him, and fewer still got the chance to go in his office. Jody Scheckter talked about one time he went in and how it was always dark. I'd have to go back and re listen to some of those stories. But yes. The man was larger than life
"My past is scarred with grief ...father, mother, brother, sister, wife ...my life is full of sad memories. I look back and I see my loved ones ...and among my loved ones I see the face of this great man: Gilles Villeneuve." Enzo Ferrari, 1982
One hell of a strong telephone pole at 2:03
Weak ass CGI though. Should have just wrecked a few kit cars.
I'm not going to lie, i laughed at that crash scene, it just looked too cartooney to me. Why is a film all about the most famous car brand in the world using CGI cars? I understand crashing Ferrari's would be a step too far, not to mention far too expensive. But why not build prop cars in the same shape and crash them. You could throw in a dummy as the driver too, or replace the dummy with cgi. I don't know, I just feel bad the people working on the CGI are probably not being given the right amount of time and resources to do the best they can. Hopefully the CGI is not final, but given the poor treatment of special effect houses in the industry I'm not holding out much hope.
@@alisterprice916 I think the problem is not the car, which i think is real, but the pole itself. The crash is historically accurate, a tire blown happened so the car loose the control and it takes flight crashing onto the pole. So i think the pole is in CG, or at least it has been replaced in CG and it moves in that way. I'm not a CG expert, i'm just guessing.
For the rest i can't wait to go to the cinema, i waited this movie since the shooting days back in the 2022!
The whole crash looks horrible 😂 great movie just to be ruined by that scene if they don't edit it
Nokia Tower
What an amazing year for movies it has been.
Yes for real movies like this and not action or comic book franchises
This is Adam Driver's crowning achievement for absolutely sure... He deserves all the success that will come from this endeavor 🎉 congratulations
You can't be serious lol
If Enzo said this quote“I never thought a son could leave his father a legacy but my son did" I would say it good
Enzo sold the car company completely by 1971 to FIAT
since then he had no say in what automobili would go into production
nice to see real movies getting made again
?
something that isnt a remake, sequel, or comic book move@@syz3981
Right I agree
Oh please. They've always been made but none of ya'll will go to the theaters.
they have to make it worth going to the theaters. @@juiciness
That last crash scene looked so fake !
What a cast! Cruz and Woodley are phenomenal and so under-rated.
Enzo, an Enigma. Family foundry business. Manager of Alfa Romeo Corse. His first win as manufacturer he beat Alfa, " I feel like I killed my mother" and cried. Jano, Lampredi, the drivers....I hope we see them. Forza Ferrari!
Maserati 😢
So this year we are getting movies from acclaimed filmmakers such as Michael Mann, Ridley Scott, Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, Yorgos Lanthinos, Sofia Coppola, Emerald Fennell, Pablo Larrain, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Todd Haynes, Wes Anderson, Alexander Payne, Jonathan Glazer, David Fincher?? WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!
cringe name dropping
Emerald Fennel definitely doesn't belong to this high profile group (should I say yet?). Gerwig maybe already belongs.
@@irvingwashington8638 Well Fennell won an Oscar for her debut movie, that's already high profilic to me. At best that her debut for me was great so I'm looking forward to her second movie this year. Is Fennell as good as someone like Scorsese? I don't think so but she's a pretty interesting filmmaker anyway 🤷
its like .... the second half of names has no business being in the same sentence as the first half lol. just my opinion anyway
@@JoshuaDay0550 Jokes on you, I'm a fan of those filmmakers so I will have their names mentioned 🤷 Payne has made tons of bangers, his only miss was Downsizing

its great to freaking see michael mann back in action about time dude, your movies were phenomenal during the early mid 90's and early 2000's, and now with farrari.
This is now going to be the best Christmas EVER
that would be the Return of the King in 2003 lol ;)
I would still be excited if this came out as a kid, because I was a huge motorsport fan, films like these need to succeed, Adam Driver dosen't look anything like Enzo Ferrari, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure he's going to give a good performance, and Michael Mann is directing, nice to see him coming back, also waiting for the Heat sequel next year.
My instant reaction when I saw Adam Driver is that he's not convincing enough to pull this off
My thoughts exactly. I didn't know there is a Heat II coming out. I am now waiting for that. Say that in the theater when I was in my early 20s and still remember what a great movie it is. That has to be on of the best movies ever made. Especially that scene with DeNiro and Pachino in the coffee shop. That news just made my day.
Should have casted Mesut Özil instead
Robert De Niro would've definitely been better as Enzo.
@@horsepower523 especially with him being older now
Adam Driver looks almost unrecognizable here. Looks dope!
Ferrari is my favourite car brand
Penelope Cruz looks but also acts so good. She always delivers. She fits the picture perfectly. She really is an actress.
Michael IS the Man!!!!
Adam IS the Driver!!!!
(Sorry)
Ferrari is what Driver him.
Driver is a Swedish word and means drives or runs. Förare is the Swedish word for Driver. To föra - to control or direct.
So it's a prequel to Ford Vs. Ferrari 😃
What an incredible film. Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz at their very best. 🙂
I genuinely want this to be a good movie! I love Michael Mann. One of the greatest film directors of the 1990's/early noughties; who kind of somewhat went off the boil after that. I really hope this is a return to that form.
I saw it last week and it was amazing! A very well made flick. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet!
This year's best Actor gonna be epic... Decaprio in a Scorsese movie... Joaquin Phoenix... playing Napolean... And Driver in a Michael Mann movie playing Enzo. 😊.. can't wait to see who beats all 3 with a surprise part.
You forgot Cillian Murphy from Oppeheimer
its going to come down to Cillian and decaprio, phoenix is extremely close too, again we have to see napoleon and Ferrari@@Temidirem
Murphy is winning it this year imo
Nor Murphy or Dicaprio will win s*it. It's already in the hands of Joaquin, i like them all but there's really 0 competition here. He's portraying one of the most famous human beings to ever live, an EPIC scale movie made by an EPIC director. It's done! 🤐
Don't sleep on Zac in his best work since playing the serial killer with The Iron Claw film
I hope there's a post credit scene where he pissed off a tractor maker.
Lamborghini?
O my god
What’s a Michael Mann film without a focal point line like “Two objects cannot occupy the same point in space”? It’s primarily about racing, but maybe it’s also about Enzo’s tumultuous life? I can’t wait.
Hmm. I’d single that out as the thing that worries me the most about this film. “Two objects cannot occupy the same point in space,” is absolutely *stupid* . Do you know what it means? Absolutely _nothing_ . It’s pseudo-academia speak, something that sounds profound and intelligent but ultimately means diddly squat. And that’s concerning. Because it’s a signpost to pretentiousness, and films that are too full of themselves often fall flat on their face. And this film _needs_ to be brilliant, and rake in shedloads of money and accolades because it’s high time we get racing films that do the greats of the sport justice. Ford v Ferrari (Le Mans ‘66) currently stands alone.
When has Michael Mann ever delivered a dud? @@nightstorm16
Soundtrack sounds fantastic. Didn't think anything could top Oppenheimer's soundtrack, but this might do it!
The Creator had a pretty good soundtrack tbh
what is the name of the music?
Daniel Pemberton, composer of the Spiderverse films, is doing this one. Very hyped, Across the Spiderverse (Start a Band) is one of the best OSTs this year. Oppy too
still not as good as Oppenheimer and the story lacked substance and depth @@supergv2235
Michael Mann uses music in a much more sensible way than Nolan (in my opinion).
2:03 please don't tell me that shot is going to be in the movie
That CGI...
That accident and death of de portago spoiler:+18
it’s not only in the movie, but it’s definitely in the movie.
CGI was trash in that scene
As a VFX artist, i can tell you that usually these sort of shots are done a few weeks in advance just before the trailer is released(how that got greenlit i don't know). And then are worked on again closer to the deadline, so i'm hoping thats the case.
Death of Dino almost killed Enzo; I am glad they covered the Dino part with the respect and space he deserves.
Adam Driver... excellent actor! can't wait to see this.
I can still feel the rev from Ford vs Ferrari and now this? cant wait!
Hope they get a hang on them VFX for the release 'cause while everything looks amazing, that car going into the mast looked cardboard cut-outs.
Saw it yesterday. A great movie, finally.
Cruz and Driver!! Love it!!
"Achmed och Pari Banu" goes very well with this trailer 10/10, Chefs kiss

Saw this motion picture together with my parents yesterday. Michael Mann at his best! Top film! If you can take the breath away from my mother & create "ice" in the cinema for just a few seconds... You know you have touched souls. Compliments & my gratitude to all who have worked on this production. Wow... what an experience!

Cheers to original EDGE OF DARKNESS TV screenwriter Troy Kennedy Martin for finally getting his acclaimed screenplay made by one of the top directors out there.
Looking at the trailer of Ferrari, there is really some new content in this film. Very good attention has been paid to the storyline.
I always love Michael Mann projects. Miami Vice (the series), ManHunter, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat and more. This looks good too.
so excited for this film, ❤ Michael Mann
Looks amazing! How coincidental having an actor with the surname Driver acting in a movie about cars and racing!
He’ll need to play Arnold Palmer next!!
Looks so good
So ready for this!
Adam Driver has a great deal of interest in Italians apparently. Excited for this one!
Im so excited for this! IMO he was phenomenal in house of Gucci. Cant wait to see this!
When you do something so good and entire world tries to get better than you to beat you, trust me you are a legend. That's what Ferrari is.
Too much engine, almost enough brake, almost enough grip.. pedal in the carpet, let up, get on the brake, tap the gas, shi-ft-down, tap the gas, shi-ft-down, into the corner.. plant the gas down hard.. hear that 12 sing like Sinatra, smile from ear to ear.. that's what Ferrari is. The old ones were the best. The new ones are better. The old ones were *definitely* prettier. 250 TR.. *HNNNG*
Smells like Elawn Musk
The lambo film and Ford vs Ferrari were great this looks good!👌
can't wait to watch the full movie , the trailer looks awesome .
GREAT ! acting by Adam Driver & Penélope Cruz is beautiful as always at 49 years old 👏👏👏
looks great but how did that last shot of the wreck make it out of vfx looking like that
I have just been to see this 3 consecutive days at the cinema, it’s a masterpiece. It’s beautifully made with award winning performances from Driver / Cruz and could easily be turned into a hit TV series, as there is so much more to tell (I have read many books). I might even go back again tonight! Praise the lord for Odeon Unlimited 🎉

Did not recognize Adam Driver at first - that's some good acting!
Give goosebumps this trailer, ready to watch a history movie.... Ferrari, the name itself. ❤️
I'm not trying to be annoying. This is an honest question: Are you seriously excited for this? Are these real comments? I can't pick out one thing in this trailer that stuck out besides the very bad CGI crash at 2:01. Are these paid reviews?
This is objectively a bad trailer right?
Juste un mot à dire Viva Ferrari🇮🇹🔥👍🏽
Adam Driver - Michael Mann = balls. This looks fantastic!
Adam driver killing it
Despite the crash scenes looking TOTALLY fake and terrible, the rest looks cool. Might have to see this one.
You mean the last one right? Because the rest is clearly practical. Also, that shot looks far better when watching the trailer in far higher quality on Apple TV. TH-cam compression never plays nice with VFX.
1:59 That's some weird crash physics going on
thats what i thought haha
I was not expecting the crash scene to be that graphic in the movie, that was crazy! But I loved how they made it realistic
❤ Michael Mann . It's gonna be a banger 🔥
Glad to see Mann getting back to that classical style of shooting, rather than that appalling handheld style he did for so many years.
That is gonna be a great movie. 👍

Could be very good. Only complaint: in 2023 they really ought to film a story like this in Italian.
