Thank you for taking the time to document and share this when I can only imagine what must be needing your time and attention there. I am so thankful you all are safe. My continued prayers are with you and your community.
Thank you so much. When I started vlogging last Sunday I honestly thought it was going to be a video about hurricane prep and what it looks like in the south! Never in 1 million years did I think it was going to turn into a weeklong blog about devastation. Thank you so much for your prayers!
@@BloomCo. You showed so much courage especially for your children. Your husband as well in staying behind and then getting out and getting involved. I can only imagine how overwhelming this must be on so many levels. My prayers are with you everyday.
this legitimately made me cry i can’t believe that people lost their whole homes and sentimental values, they had to start all over. Houses collapsed and rubbished. Bless y’all for making everyone more aware of what actually goes in during these natural disasters❤️
Thank you for sharing. I'm from the Houston area and we prepared thinking the hurricane may have been heading our way. I'm sorry you and your family and community has had to go through all of that. I do agree that after Rita and Ike, we are so much better at being prepared. Your kids will look back on this video and will appreciate all that you and your husband did to keep them safe. Continued prayers for you family.
You are exactly right. Fortunately our family and our extended family hasn’t suffered as great of losses as some! God is providing every step of the way…
Thank you for taking the time to document this. Very moving, thankful you all are safe. Our son is a Lineman he has been sent into help with the power. He is at Lake Charles as of now. Prayers for you your family and friends so sad. Also for the Lineman and first responders.
Been following for a month or so, and I’m In Lafayette. I thought about y’all before and during the storm. I have PTSD from Katrina(grew up over there). I totally understand the feeling. So glad everyone stayed safe.
Oh my gosh! I know the fear of hurricanes! And first I am so sorry for all the damage in Lake Charles and in Cameron and in Orange Tx area. We are north of Houston and we had Hurricane Ike then 2 weeks without power. Living on the gulf coast area, we always have to be vigilant about these terrible storms. I’m so happy y’all are ok! Hugs, Kim 🤗🤗💕💕
I'm from Lake Charles but live in Ragley now. We have ridden out every hurricane that ever come our way as we did with Laura......but I dont think I will ride another. Rita was scary but Laura was a monster. I am devastated over the conditions of our city and surrounding towns. It will be a very long time before things get back to some kind of normalcy. Glad to find some local youtubers and i am now a subscriber to yalls channel. God Bless you and your family.
For Katrina we evacuate to Mississippi and got hit. We would have been fine at home in mandeville la right across the lake from Nola. We didn’t have power for three months. But where we made it the doors were flying open. We went back home right after and slept outside on our deck.
God is good.. thank you for sharing this video. It really gave more information about what actually happened during and after this historic storm. More than the news. God continue to bless you and your family 🙏🏽
I’m so glad y’all safe and okay. You and Adam are so cute together!!! Plus I really like your vlog, maybe you can do close to hour vlog weekly kinda. My parent, they level the house 5-8 off the ground so we don’t get flooding but we own the houses next door an didn’t level next door house an it flood every time. My family’s house destroy in last hurricane 15 years ago but now house is still in patch some buildings was damaged or destroys.. before hurricane we went up my grandpa’s house stay until Friday.. we had some problems like the refrigerator an other things but we good an safe..
Hurricane either will give you anxiety and ptsd or it will create a interest in storms and love for weather. Not necessarily wanting bad stuff to happen but a huge interest in storm. That was my case I love storms. I have been through multiple Hurricanes, the strongest cat 3 with eyewall and everything.
Just subscribed to your channel.. I am praying for everyone there! 🙏🙏Are you in Lake Charles..I grew up there but now I live in Florida..So Sorry how bad that hurricane was for y’all’s area..God be with you all
Bloom Praying for you and Lake Charles🙏Looks like cooler weather will be there in about a week! That will help a lot..Hope you have running water. Some do they say.. I think they will get the electric back earlier than what they are saying Love LC it’s in my heart and soul! I have lived a lot of places and never have found a better place than LC!!
Just now seeing this video which brought back some horrible memories. We live in Bridge City, Texas. Did I understand that you left your dog at home? Did you know that it is law in Texas that the hotels in Texas have to accept pets during a mandatory evacuation. In fact, we evacuated to San Antonio with 2 dogs and a cat and stayed at a hotel that normally does not accept pets. I hope your recovery has been going smoothly. I thought about Lake Charles during the freeze. Our 2 areas are close enough where we usually experience the same bad weather.
Awww yes it’s a tough video to watch. Our dog Henry stayed at the house, but my husband also stayed in town at our church so he was able to get to him quickly. Between the freeze and a historical flood two weeks ago, we’ve had quite a year!
After living in Lake Charles for 34 years I had to leave Louisiana for good. Little did we know just how bad it was going to be. After living through Laura & Delta my mind was made up! Lots of people moved. I miss SWLA, but not the extreme weather. Praying for everyone this hurricane season 2021. 🙏🏻
watching this exactly 1 year later... looks like ida is doing the same thing. its currently taking the same path as Laura, about to go over Cuba. They say it will be a cat 2 but I had a dream last night that it would move east and go over New Orleans as a cat 4. When I checked the weather this morning it did in fact move east just where It was in my dream so we'll see if it reaches cat4 status like Laura did........ I'm nervous. coming from New Orleans...I pray for y'all too!! poor Lake Charles area has been through so much.
Thank you for taking the time to document and share this when I can only imagine what must be needing your time and attention there. I am so thankful you all are safe. My continued prayers are with you and your community.
