Really great info and inspirational ideas. Thank you. I'll be running chapter 3 for a tier 3 party, and I'm looking for ideas on how to tailor the campaign to my needs. This really helped. 👍
Watched this video a few times and got to say, it has helped me a bunch when it comes to running this chapter. Specially to tailor it to the backstories of the characters :smirk:
Great video as usual, Mike. Timestamps are awesome, particularly for a second or third watch. The product recommendations are priceless! Thank you for this and for James Introcasso’s tips as well. All your work is highly appreciated!
This is GOLD. I've been running DiA for a few months now and my party is now entering chapter 3. Its one of the most powerful stories I've been a part of, I've been using mostly Mike's videos and the Alexandrian remix as supplements, and I'm planning on using some stuff from Eventyr games for chapter 3.
Just hit fort Knucklebone with my party, My 150 year old elven paladin was actually a hellrider who went on the first ride, so i removed Lulu entirely and attached much of Lulu's knowledge to the players backstory. Planning a dream sequence with Mad Maggie based on her memories of the first ride. It is a bit hard to manage spotlight with this character as she knows many of Zariels Generals but i have managed by having other demonlords and archdevils court the rest of the party. Thanks for the video Sly Flourish, i was struggling with picking the path of devils or demons, now i think i will follow your advise and use the generals as a overarching plot thread and pick the locations that are coolest or make most sense.
Oh man, thanks! I was trying to find something like this before I started running the game, but I don't think they were out there yet. We just got to Red Ruth and are heading to the Wandering Emporium, so there's still time to for me to incorporate your advice. Thanks again!
At 15:54 ish, you reference that you have a reason Zariel would want her sword back but I can't find anywhere else what that is. Could you share your reasoning behind her wanting the sword back?
One my players has 'Black Razor' from 'White Plume Mountain' and I figure I'll have them use it to store souls and then power the infernal war machine. I do think there should be a consequence for destroying a soul. Maybe they roll on the 'Flesh Warping' chart located on page 78? Any thoughts on other possible consequences?

Awesome! Glad you dig it!

These have been really interesting. I love lessons learned from prewritten adventures.
I absolutely love your takes on running modules. They have been an amazing resource for me over the years.
I’m so glad!
Been waiting for this one 👍
I'm glad! I worked my ass off on this one.
@@SlyFlourish perfect timing too. The party in the game I'm running touched down on Avernus having climbed down from Elturel last week.

She doesn't want it back but she doesn't want it to get out there either. She knows its dangerous to her.
@@SlyFlourish man...I should have put that together. Lol. 5habks for the reply on this old video!
Refused to rest? Don't let em off the hook!
I know it’s been a minute, but you mentioned how Jander knows where Yael hid the Sword of Zariel. But can you elucidate HOW he knows this?

They did Jander Sunstar wrong, man. He nearly kills Strahd, gets out of Ravenloft and winds up in hell? Damn.
