Thanks for sharing. The Modern Coin Magic is a great book. The tutorials that you put out on the tricks from the book helps visually of the handling, timing and such. The book is well illustrated also. I recommend anyone getting into coin magic to get this book.
I would love to see you going thru Modern Coin Magic! You inspired me to try more coin effects. I have bought all your recommendations for books and you have not disappointed me a single time.
Yes Rick, please do an Essential Bobo routines.I agree with your last few statements. The classic routines found in Bobo's are not widely experienced/seen by most spectators. When i started getting into coin magic, the whole coins across concept was new to me, and these routines are a lot of fun to perform and even use as practice warmups
I'm making my way through Bobo's right now and this and the Winged Silver video are great. Please keep the series going and thanks for everything you do.
My first coins across was Brian Gillis coins across. Unsure if it has a name. I did it for years. But then when I started doing other coins across, it now seems very weird to start with a couple coins in one hand and 3 in the other. Seems so much more logical to have all the coins move from one hand to the other.
Love your explanation of how to do the moves from Modern Coin Magic. I started reading the book and I'm finding your explanations and watching you perform them brings it to life with a clearer understanding.
Good eye! Those are mostly random Chinese coins, old Johnson coin gaffs, clad halves and dollars, etc. I have a nice little case for my silver stuff and Okito boxes.
Sure. I'd like to see which from Bobo you think are the "essential" effects. ;-)
The old stuff, when in the right hands, is just as mind melting as the new stuff.
Thank you for making me more aware of the value of Modern Coin Magic. I'm reading it more often now.
That's my goal!
A series about the essential tricks of Bobo's would be amazing!

Grácias!
So, you drop the last coin to your lap? What if, when it drops, making a noise and drop on the floor. ?
Just practice. It wont fall on the floor, it's a short distance to your lap.
Just run out of the room without saying anything.
Do you keep your coins in one of those bead organizers? I do. Looks like you have one on the shelf in the background. 😂
Good eye! Those are mostly random Chinese coins, old Johnson coin gaffs, clad halves and dollars, etc. I have a nice little case for my silver stuff and Okito boxes.
What’s up Rick! Hey do you do any okito box magic? Would love to see you do some
Yes! I love the Okito Box. Check some of my older videos, but I have more material.
Cool 😎
any plans for giveaways???
The second variation handling is different in bobo. Who is it credited to?
There is a variation after the of Flying Eagles with different coins. There is also the trick after, called Three and Three which is very similar.
@RickHolcombe The different coins handling in bobo is what Im talking about. Your version is more stream lined. Bobo uses no switches in his version.
Great work by the way
I need to look back and read it again
