Dear Jan, I’ve worked in nursing Home Health for 13 years. I’ve seen this alot and almost all the time it was either from medications or a UT.I. you would be amazed at some side effects these can cause especially if this hasn’t happened before. Please call your Doctor right away and let them know ❤

Jan honey, you really need to tell your doctors about this immediately. These night terrors and hallucinations could very well be coming from one or several of your meds. I have been dealing with this with my husband for 21 years. I finally had to put my foot down with the doctors, and I started cross referencing all of my husband's meds. It was several of his meds that just should never have been given to him at the same time. Your poor body has been through such a tremendous amount of stress through the falls, the surgeries, the sepsis, the anesthesia, etc. I have been through a lot of the medical issues myself, and have severe medical PTSD from so much trauma. It really sounds to me that you are experiencing several different issues at the same time. If you are on prescription pain meds, these could be a main culprit of your issues. I know how very terrifying this is. Please get your daughter to call your doctors and your pharmacist. Your pharmacist can check your drugs for contraindications and other issues. Please take care of yourself and I hope you have a wonderful, blessed Christmas, surrounded by your loved ones. XOXOXO

I have to tell you a story. Once, when my dad had major surgery (colon), he started hallucinating afterwards. Since the nurses and doctors didn't know him, they all thought he had Alzheimers. The night nurses said he had 'sundowners'. Some called it night terrors, but it was happening all day long, and not when he was sleeping. He was adamant that things were happening to him, that a nurse tried to kill him. He asked me to please believe him and get him out of there. I knew this was NOT my dad, that something else was going on. He was completely lucid and his mind was sharp before the surgery. I promised him I would take care of it, and him. I had to cause a pretty major uproar to get to a doctor who would listen and had to go through the head of nursing to do that! I asked them to take him off morphine and give him something else for the pain. They did, and Dad came back to being 'my dad', clear-minded, no more hallucinations, back to his old self. I told you that to tell you this....I realize how real your hallucinations were to you. Dad could still remember details years and years later, they were that real. He would still get shaky when he talked about them, even after I explained what happened and what caused it. He believed me, but still had those memories. I just wanted you to know that if you never had these 'til after your surgery, and are not having them now, you can bet it was something being given to you. Praying for you and your recovery, dear lady.

Once after kidney surgery, the pain Meds made me hallucinate. I thought the I.V.s were barbed wire. I dreamt/ hallucinated that I was a World War I soldier. I was crawling on the ground and trying to get past the Barbed wire fence. When I woke up my night nurse said “ oh My Dear who were you “ fighting?!” The Barb wire were my IV.s and epidural pain med line. Thank you listening. ❤

Sometimes, the pain meds they give you in the hospital can cause you to have nightares. I went through some scary ones after my surgery, and yes, they seem real. Hold on to your faith, and you will get through the difficult times Jan. It's good to see you. (I think clowns are creepy, too). Big hugs and lots of love to you, sweetheart. 🙂❤️

This was so sad to me. My mother went through something similar when she was in a nursing home. The nursing home called me in the middle of the night. I went out there, and she was scared to death. It was caused from medicine. I held her in my arms, and stayed with her until she was better. I told them to get her off the medicine, and they best not give it to her again. It wasn’t a med she even needed. The doctor was just trying to keep the patients drugged up. It was a nursing home doctor. 😢

Breaks my heart that you are going through these dreams. I pray that God keeps you wrapped safely in His arms. When you have a traumatic injury like you experienced, it's really not uncommon to have dreams like those. At least that's what my Dr told me when I fell a few years ago and I broke my neck. I really don't remember anything from the time they came and put me in the ambulance and the time I spent in the ER and the transfer to a bigger hospital. I had a few night terrors when I came home. It was always the same. I woke up and thought there was a man standing in my bedroom doorway. That happened twice. Now I have such a hard time sleeping.
Nobody knows how bad it is until they go through it theirselves.

Jan, my suggestion is for your night. Terrors is a weighted blanket. I’ve heard terrific things about them and I believe this could help you.
I have Parkinson’s one of the symptoms is delusions and hallucinations. I deal with those every day, as I am awake my scariest one was being in my chair, watching TV and lo and behold. All of these bugs started crawling on me, and bugs were flying and attacking at me. That has been my scariest hallucination and I’ve had that one numerous times.
But I think your night terrors are you definitely need that weighted blanket
I am a retired nurse, and I are trying to keep up with everything still to this day. I have a friend that had severe night terrors, and she ordered a weighted blanket and it has helped her if she doesn’t have them anymore
I’m praying for you, Jan 🙏🏼

Merry Christmas Jan, may you and your family have a great time of fellowship.

I hope you've told your doctor about these hallucinations. I've had a relative with dementia and another with Parkinson's that had hallucinations and day dreams that they were sure were real. The doctor called them confabulations. My mother was on a medication after a bad brain bleed that made her have crazy dreams and hallucinations until the dosage was lowered. Definately tell your doctors to make sure they are aware that you are experiencing these so that they can be sure your medication is right. My mother would think my sister was in the house when she lived several states away and was not visiting, mom also insisted her house had a downstairs thinking she was in a house she had not lived in for 20 years. None of that happened to my mother after he medication was adjusted, thank goodness.

As frightening as these night terrors were to you, they usually stop once you're on the road to recovery. Also once your medication is corrected.
My heart feels for your, sweet soul😢❤
I analyze dreams, so I think I know what they mean.
You've spent countless years taking care of others. In those years, you neglected to take care of yourself 😢
God has given you a chance to do so.
Take care of your physical self and most importantly, your mental and spiritual self ❤
You are a special spirit, Jan ❤
Loved by your family, and thousands of people who you will never meet but are affected by your gentle soul ❤❤❤
I will continue to watch your progress as time goes on 😊

I was told by a psychologist friend, that dreams are the subconscious mind working through whatever is going on in your life. with everything you have been through, it stands to reason that you would have strange dreams. It could also be medication that is causing them. I really think you should tell your doctor if this is still happening. I will pray for your healing. Trust God to bring you through. God bless you, my sister in Christ.

This has to be scary for you but please call your doctor. I’m sure you’re sick of doctors but there may be something they can do. It could be another UTI or an electrolyte deficiency/imbalance. At least have someone bring you some Propel electrolyte water. I hope you figure this out soon. You are so loved. ❤Ask your doctor if any of the meds you’re taking can cause these symptoms or look them up and read the side effects.

ALL of the research I've done on this subject says, 90% of the time, whatever we watch, discuss, see on our cell phones, OR TV, etc. for one full HOUR before we go to
sleep WILL usually be what we dream about or see if we have any night terrors.
    Also, any sleep-aid
medications 💊 (or liquids) will promote these issues, also.
I always pray to God, in Jesus's name to
remove all fear from me, etc.

I have MS and one of the early 90’s - 2010s treatment was a very high dose of solumedrol (a steroid) and I remember hallucinations I had from the high dose steroids. I was on them for3 weeks and then they weaned me off the steroids. That’s when the fun really began. I would get an auditory hallucination and could “hear” a church radio station and could repeat exactly what the sermon had been, the songs sang… only that never happened!
My doctor explained the side effects of medications plus the lesion in my brain.
Fortunately, the episodes stopped in about six months.
Jan, I’ll pray for that peace to lull you to sleep, and know in your soul, all is right with you because God keeps you in the palm oh His Hand.

😢So sorry u have these experiences. I have had nightmares that have stuck in mind forever & used to wonder if it was a premonition so that is what it makes it frightful. Dr told me that any time u can remember dreams/nightmares ment u were not having the kind of sleep u need. Sometimes I have tied it into medication that I had taken to close to bedtime. Check side affects of yours & mayb something else can b substituted. I no it can b where u trying to wakeup & then dont want to go back to sleep. Sweet Dreams Jan. Luv U❤

Awww Jan you poor dear, I’m so sorry that you’re having night terrors & hallucinations. I can’t even imagine what you’re going through or how horrifying it must be to have these experiences. I have heard of these 2 conditions but I’ve never experienced them or known anyone else to experience them. So, your Dr is aware of what’s happening ? Did your Dr tell you that it’s night terrors & hallucinations ? Is it possible that you’re taking a medication that your Dr has prescribed for you that may have given you these side effects ? Has your Dr mentioned dementia ? My ex is always asking me if I was just in his room talking to him & I tell him no & he just looks confused & I often wonder if he’s gotten early onset of dementia. See, my ex lives with my husband & I because he had a stroke over a decade ago & he can no longer work or drive & we started taking care of him, mostly financially because he can still walk & talk & cook & do whatever he needs to do except he can’t work anymore or drive because he lost most of his hearing after his stroke. He’s afraid to drive ever since his stroke. He tried driving again after his stroke & he said that he felt like he was sitting in a box……I still don’t understand that but he’s the dad to my 2 children & I couldn’t just abandon him so my husband & I took him in . But I fear that he may have dementia…..
How very scary for you , I’m so sorry. Does it help you to talk about it ? Cuz I’d like to hear about more of your experiences if you have more. I’m keeping you & Randy in my thoughts & prayers.
    Hug’s & Kisses 🤗😘😘
    🌺🙏🏻God bless🙏🏻🌺
    Love Ya♥️🎄❄️⛄️

So, these happen while you are asleep and then woken up. My son had night terrors as a child. It is like sleepwalking. Certain medications would cause it too. He seems a wake but was not. He would do it when sick too. I rushed him to the hospital one night and when we got there, he was fine. So had a follow up with peds and they concluded he was having night terror. Make sure you tell your doctor, because certain things can trigger them. He had this on allergy medication. So, he was actually having an allergic reaction. I do the same thing with certain pain medications. So important to tell your doctor.

Miss Jan, I am so sorry you're having this night terrors & hallucinations. I can't imagine how scary they must be for you. Like other comments I've read here, please mention these dreams to your doctor. Some medications can make a bad dream into a night terror. And I believe you mentioned in a recent video that you said you had a UTI (you sometimes call them DUI's bc you forget it's called UTI). I'm not sure any change of medication would help but maybe the doctor could recommend something to help.

Hi Ms.Jan! So sad you’re going through this. Here’s a very powerful prayer that blinds satan:
    THE UNITY PRAYER
    My Adorable Jesus,
    May our feet journey together.
May our hands gather in unity.
May our hearts beat in unison.
May our souls be in harmony.
May our thoughts be as one.
May our ears listen to the silence together.
    May our glances profoundly
    penetrate each other.
May our lips pray together lo gain mercy from the Eternal Father.
    Amen.
Ask Mary the mother of God to intercede for you, better yet, consecrate yourself to her!

I’m praying for you, Dear Jan. Perhaps it’s what you have been through, and some medications now or maybe what you have taken in the hospital etc. My family and I have good and bad dreams most of the time. Some are so realistic that we can remember them forever. My late great grandfather told me he would have very bad dreams. He told me he prayed to God about them and they stopped. He was a very spiritual man and a minister. My Daddy was a preacher too. God would show my Daddy things in dreams and visions like the Bible speaks about. I will definitely pray for you and your health in Jesus name!! God bless you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩷🩷
