I heard that Timbaland likes to hum ideas into a mic and then convert that to MIDI. Neat trick if you have a sound in your head but can't or don't have the skills to run that through a keyboard.
This was a surprise. I came across this feature by accident when I failed to drag a drum loop into an audio channel and threw it into a MIDI channel instead. However, I didn't dare to work with it. But I will give it a try.
So... a randomise feature. I gotta say, it's not the idea way of making legible, intelligent, emotional, patterns It does not always work - more often than not, it will sound terrible. Would it not be better to practice improvisation and music theory. Learn some scales, how to inset accidentals, poly playing rhythms in conjunction with your main beat You'll have to make sure it's in the right key, in the right timing You might as well just smash the keyboard with step-advance switched on to prevent overlaps and go mad!

It works especially well with tonal percussion loops that have a large variety in the sounds.
