Lisa Marie Presley saw Queen in LA in the late 70's. She presented Freddie with one of her Dad's scarves. Thanks Freddie for loving our music here in the States..
I heard the Rock world in USA didn't really like their 'I want to break free' video lol.. Seeing them all dressed as women seemed to ruin touring America for them lol. Shame, great song.
So true...John did love Freddie and I loved the way Freddie protected John as he was only 19 when he first joined Queen. Such a precious relationship ❤🎶❤🎶
Yeah, it's great to see how he played the piano with the keyboardist at 6:05. These four men were extremely different, but brothers in music. Queen would never have been Queen without Deacon - or any of the others.
John adored Freddie: its obvious in the way he looks at him and laughs ate all his antics ; he must have been absolutely devastated when Freddie died. Poor things I feel for them so much.
@@tatianaroveda freddie was shy and reserved off stage he said it himself john especially loved freddie hence why he could not play after we lost the great pretender
John was the youngest, Freddie the oldest. At their young ages starting out I am certain that had an impact. John probably looked up to him like a big brother in music.
Exactly! Graeham Goble (ex Little River Band) and the late David Crosby knew this in their respective bands. Sometimes a collection of singers just ‘blend’ to deliver that magical X Factor. Another good example was the bassist and the guitarist for Van Halen
Watching live performances like this, I can see why John Deacon couldn't go on performing without Freddie. Watch him when Freddie is singing, he's getting as much out of the performance as the rest of us. They were friends, and I think John just couldn't bear to stand on stage and look across to see someone else standing where one of his best mates should have been.
I've always thought if I could go back in time to attend any Queen concert, Montreal 1981 would be my first choice and Wembley would be number 2. After watching just this song, though, this concert has moved to my number 1 spot. Oh my god, the energy these men had and the performances they gave is just mind blowing. Those who were fortunate enough to see them in concert, congratulations. You had an amazing opportunity.
Could I just mention the ending of Tutti Frutti? Freddie singing at full belt like he was standing at a mic stand, whilst running end to end of those catwalks which extended the entire width of Wembley Stadium. Those are some impressive pipes.
The boys are really rockin. It's hard to take my eyes off Freddie, however both John and Bri have some really cool moves. Love Freddie's lower vocal register too.
0:15 Deaky laughs and points at Freddie, telling Roger: »Look at him.« All of them smiling at Freddie with the hat. Freddie coming back, grinning. Taps at Rog like: »Look, I’ve got a police hat.« Roger: Hands up.
Well what can I say this mix is just great. Freddie & Queen are marvellous. No wonder the crowd just joined. I love this video from beginning to end THANKS BOYS.
@@JohnnyMarvin Elvis didn't write the song, so it's not an Elvis Presley song. It is best known by Buddy Holly. This is a 50's rock medley (or as Freddie would sometimes say "pastiche."
Freddie and Queen apparently liked Rockabilly music. So much so that Freddy wrote Crazy little thing called Love which is in that style. They should have put out a whole album of Rockabilly covers. I’d have bought that!
I’ve been addicted to these fabulous four now for 45 years and I’ll never get enough♥️! I’m telling you, the sheer energy our beloved Freddie’s got, is OMG🤗😆🤗!! The feeling of excitement he brings is undeniably amazing!! He feels every note, every beat. All of Queen, master musicians and entertainers! Magical souls! Freddie brings out the best, and then bounces his energy off of the band and fans. The way these four wonderful souls got on with each other is so magical and we feel it. It just doesn’t get any better💙♥️🥰! It just doesn’t!

Especially since John’s dad died when John was only 11 years old.
I think your right- In some way, I always felt Freddie "protected" John, who was notably shy.
Yes there was even a documentary that talks about Freddie taking John under his wing. They’re were really a family!
