yes, we can be sure it survived the tire test 100% since we got to see them afterwards in a separate shot

I choosing between Nikon MHG 8x30 and Zeiss CHD 8x32. Personally never looked through them. I making decisions just thanks to reviews and forums (it means almost blindly).
I would choose Nikon MHG 8x30 (i like its size and build), but im scared by its flaring/glaring at sunny weather (very many words about it in forums).
But on other hand - ZCHD 8x32 dont have flares/glares, pretty bright and sharp, but it really big and heavy for x32.
So i dont know which one to choose.
If You can answer these 2 questions - i will be much closer to my final decision:
1. In Your personal opinion how much Nikon MHG 8x30 flaring and glaring on sun?
2. Maybe You remember - how does picture of NMHG 8x30 vs ZCHD 8x32 in general?

For those of us who could only dream of owning a pair of these treating them in this way is beyond ridiculous, I know you are only trying to make a point but if this happened to my bins I couldn't even afford to send them back to "Zeiss" I wonder if you had saved for months and months to buy these (as I would need To) would you treat them in such a manner, I think not, Nice to be sponsored I guess. If you live in the country side, farm, hunt, animal watching and taking them up the sides of mountains then it is pretty obvious that they are going to get rough and tumble out there.
If you need to take out a quad to go and do some hunting and need a pair of binoculars to take what would you take?
This review was quite witty, typical Brit :-) The coffee in the 'eye' cup part was the most amusing one. Well the message is clear that the bins are made for rugged use. However there have been some complaints amongst the users. Apart from the complaints below I have the following concerns myself whilst I am yet to see these bins in flesh.
- I am used to the slow focusing knobs ( monarchs / swaros ). However the Zeiss always make these quick type ones. Dont they ? Since that is the case in these bins also, will fine focusing be an issue ?
Coming to complaints by the users across web:
1. The eye-cup adjustment is not smooth and does not sit well on eye sockets.
2. The eye-cup cover is flimsy and keeps falling off.
3. In Bright light, apparently there is some blue ring formation along the periphery.
Can't speak for the newer models of Conquests but mine have no issues at all and they are 16 years old. I may be wrong but I just can't see Zeiss knocking out sub standard products. They have a reputation to uphold, which is one of the world's best in the manufacture of high grade optics. And they've been in business a long time.

They are tought with good optics. Why are you complaining.
This is just useless. Yes it's great that they can take some abuse. But this is way overkill. No one will have to put their binoculars through anything like this. I wish they would work on the easthetics instead of durability. We are grown ups after all.

I have a farm and do require them to be that tough. I have dropped them of the back of the pick up, quad and even dropped them of the top of a barn when trying to get a good view of a bear.
My son dropped a pair when up on the platform in the barn onto a concrete floor and he was sure they were finished but they still worked like new.
They are my go to binocular when hunting, fishing, hiking or mountaineering. There are actually very few reviews out there that put them through their paces.
Tell us another review that does this with binoculars.
Ridiculous review. We get their tough, how about a word on performance. One of the worst reviews out there.
