I have the same Casita without the furnace. We got ours in January. This is our 3rd Casita in 40 years. You seem to worry a lot about mold...we have never had any. Buy a full size shower curtain & some Command Strip hooks so you can keep the toilet area dry. It will make life a lot easier...and no mold. All you have to do is cut the curtain to same length as the one that came with the trailer.
extreme mold avoidance is a particular treatment modality that isn't needed for normal people but which has miraculous results for some chronic illness patients like me. You can google it. I've written 5 books on alternative health which have sold over 50,000 copies, but extreme mold avoidance was the ticket for me. I have a podcast you can listen to.
@@LymeDiseasePublisher why not just use the outdoor shower? Just get the one with more space to sleep for family. Bathrooms in RVs get yicky over time.
Nice review from a different perspective. And as someone who avoids chemicals and mold, like the plague I really appreciate it. Thanks. I've been considering one of these as a third home. Definitely looks like the first choice option.
Be sure and use Dessicant inside while stored, it collects water and dries up inside and also collects any odors. We did this for 11 yrs on our Casita and always fresh come time to travel. We got our dessicant at the dollar store. Peel back a plastic cover and it goes to work.
Congratulations! I know you'll really enjoy it. There are some upgrades you can do you'll be very interested in. If you are in the southern California area, I will be happy to help you do them such as an entrance light switch, soft starter for the AC, lithium battery, solar panels and so on. As for the microwave, I strongly recommend that you get a Dometic inverter microwave. Also, I hope you've got the anti sway bar. If not, get one now! Trust me on that. Anyways. Happy travels and have lots of fun.
@@OPSteel97 There is only one size of Dometic microwave with the inverter option available and that is a large size. Unfortunately it does not fit without modifying the width of the cabinet by one inch (1/2 inch L&R). You can still use the original cabinet door if you don't mind a small gap on each side or make a new one which requires very little carpentry skills to do. Either way, it is worth it. I can now bake cookies and cook pizzas which is was unthinkable in a camping setting before.
@@OPSteel97 Yes Chris. I have and It's absolutely the best Investment/Upgrade I have ever done. I will be happy to walk you through or help you if you are ever around San Diego or give you some online support on how to do it. It's much easier than you might think!
After 28 years of inspecting over 6,000 building with my team I have found that more health impaction of my clients comes non-ionizing radiation (electrosmog) than mold. Bryan saved my life with his RIFE advice over 10 years ago but his lack of electrosmog discussion is causing hyper-fear of mold when radiation (radio frequencies, electric, magnetic) could be the real problem for some.
Hi, I just found out that the deceptive ad practices by the Casita Enterprises, Inc. of Rice, Texas are against the law in Texas. So for anyone who went to Casita with an ad from RVTraders or someplace else; and Casita didn’t honor their ad discounts of extras like awnings, large water tanks or high rise packages. You may file a complaint with Texas Attorney General Office and collect your refund. Here is what to ask for Texas guides consumer protection from deceptive ads. Make sure you have a copy of that ad. I have copies of the March to May 2020 and the August to the September 2020 ad. You can reach me at Ronny Noll - FB.
yes, just less possibility of leaks from the penetrations. not sure it was the right choice, but had this suggestion from other mold avoiders. We never really used the awnings in our other RV's. We'll see how it goes.
Not really. I would have thought so too, but it is the hidden wood in the walls that is the problem. Condensation interface. We've had several RV's with carpet - no issues.
Supply and demand...there is a 13 month extremely long wait list of people willing to pay $25k plus for this, so why wouldn’t they set this price accordingly?

I'm 70 years old and I have never heard the term " mold avoiders."
Look it up! It is unusual but saved my life! Google mold avoidance erik johnson :)

I'd love to know more about the build as well. Great video.
there a tons of Casita vids on YT
Yes it is a very well known build, carpet / foam / fiberglass, with minimal wood.

Is there such a thing as mold prevention?
I looked up mold avoidance and it’s a real thing. Sorry you have these sensitivities.

How long did it take to off gas? I cannot have petroleum plastic in my living space Thanks
How are you liking your Casita?
Love it.
How long was the wait time from when you bought it?
It was still low in June 2020.
Now it’s 13 months!
What is the dry weight of this???
2,480 lbs. for the deluxe models.
How bout ones without a bathroom?
You opted for no awning....???

The TV is "a little bit loose"..??? Lol
LOL
Bryan Rosner wish I could get one of these, maybe w/o the tv... :)
i could never be with carpet on the walls...
Lots of reasons why people talk themselves out of mold avoidance.
Carpeted walls may be the dumbest thing I've seen in a TT.
@@hopeechangee12345678 hopee, it is cheap and covers up flaws on the walls.

I know the definition. I have an economics degree :)

not pricey if you measure cost minus resale value.
21k for that?? Makes me sick.

Wait. Give it 2 yrs during the economic fall on the horizon. It’ll be 18k, or less.
