Thank you for posting this. I needed this so bad right now. I keep getting on the trap of thinking "if suffering is good why not just suffer more and more?" I should probably talk to someone about that....

Suffering is VERY good but only if you unite it to the cross of Christ. Padre Pio suffered more than any saint I can think of but he always offered it up to Jesus and everyone who knew him said that in the depths of his soul he was the happiest man on earth and radiating joy. It’s not easy but it’s worth it
Thanks. I'm aware of Padre Pio and suffering. I think what it really is is santan tapping into my guilt.
