In my time of addiction, I cried every night for Christ. I wanted to stop my addiction.
One day these Words came into my mind… “don’t do it because I commanded you, do it if you love Me.”
Months later I was baptised and began reading the Bible and saw the verses
“If you Love Me, you will keep My commandments”.
John 14:15
I broke down.
I knew when I heard those words that it was Christ, that was the day I began to repent and renew my mind…
I have been washed by God in my brokenness.

@@alaskayoung3413 Make sure every morning you are (and if your comment was not about yourself, then whomever) reading in the New Testament EVERYDAY. Praying is very good! But I suggest not asking to take your addiction away (all the time), but instead, that you let our Lord know you have seen and learned the errors of your mistakes, and ask for WISDOM, to do what is right for his names sake, that HIS, will be done. You must want with all your heart to bring glory to his name in everything you do. REPENT, you will fail, but by pushing, fighting, believing, I KNOW, my brother you can come out of the darkness and into glory. He will not let you fail if you fight for his name! God created our brains not to forget. Because we are under the Curse, we have memory lapses and worse, dementia and alzheimers. We must not forget our old selves. Paul certainly didn't and it added weight to his testimony and epistles. It does the same for us when we evangelize. Our past iniquities are clearly forgiven by our Lord God, yet our Pre-Christ lives mold us into who we are today.

Boy do I need this on a daily basis. I’m one of those people who seem to forget how hot the fire is, and fall into the same sin every time. I’m being broken, but my prayer is that this time I listen. I remember the fire and I turn to God and know he has saved me. I NEED GOD! I am a SINNER! I need repentance, DAILY! Thank you I don’t have to pay for my iniquities, for Jesus has done that on the cross and with his resurrection.
If you want to move away from habitual sins, practice the presence of God! Be aware of the presence of Jesus wherever you are and in whatever you are doing, practice to see Jesus looking at you! And as we are called to look like Christ, always ask yourself, "would Jesus do what I am about to do?" When you practice this and add prayer and fasting, you will gain much more spiritual power and the power over the flesh!

Yes, I fear I will return to my habitual sins, but I also know that if God has a hold on me, He will NEVER let me go! Also, I need an accountability partner! Someone who can help walk me down this journey, together, man with man, letting God lead!

Please find a bible teaching local church with an active men's group. Tell the pastor you need an accountability partner. Get serious about your sin today before the consequences ruin your life. God wants you to have a full, rich life in Him.
Here's my humble thoughts. When I pray, when you pray, every day and every night, beg and ask the Almighty God to receive His forgiveness, mercy, healing, cleansing, repentance through the blood of Christ Jesus. Not a day, not a moment goes by that this isn't needed. Let the Holy One know that you depend on Him for everything! Humbly throw yourself at the foot of the cross and let Him know that you are nothing without Him. You can accomplish nothing without Him. You can do nothing without Him. You can open your eyes and breathe without Him. Knock on His door every day and every moment and He will open it. You need God! Have a safe and blessed Sabbath day.
Scar tissue. Two words, deep meaning. I hate myself when Pre-Christ I remember all the hateful, mean, despicable, embarrassing things I did to others who trusted in me. Post-Christ, I'm so grateful, comforted, relieved and appreciative of Jesus's finished work on the cross. My faith in Him and His miraculous, sinless blood has scrubbed the crimson red off me and has clothed me in His glorious Spirit. God is amazing! Brothers and sisters, have a safe and blessed Sabbath day.

I am in so desperate need of prayer. My oldest son was so disobedient to us always. But he married a girl whose mother does witchcraft😢. Now they have my granddaughter who is 1 yr old, and I love her so much, but my daughter-in-law always fights with my son and curses him so much. He tries to get her to go to church with him, but she won't. To go to prayer and bible study, but she doesn't want to. I strongly believe that her mother is doing witchcraft to them. Especially for her daughter to be mean and dominant to him. Please pray for my situation. I know prayer is one of the weapons against evil. God bless everyone 🙏 ❤️ 🙌😢

May your daughter in law know that her Heavenly Father loves her, and welcomes her with open arms. Forgiving her of her transgressions, and will lead her to be the woman of God she was created to be. I pray for the Lord to use both of your children powerfully with their testimonies and may their future generations be blessed by the Lord Most High. We come against the powers of darkness, and know that the Light has overcome it. The darkness does not comprehend it. As someone who had been a Voddie fan for years and years, this one is up there with his top 10 sermons of all time.
I don’t know when mainstream Christianity became fixated with the idea that God “erases” your sin from all aspects of your life. Surely, he forgives and cleanses *on His end* because *He alone* is sinless, and God, and is capable of forgetting *our* sins.
The human mind, save for rare cases of amnesia as cited, does not forget sin nor the body its consequences. They are reminders of the price paid for what we’ve chosen to do now and always.
I think the scariest things I hear from Christians is when they speak lightly of “mental sins” as if somehow they’re smaller or less evil than noticeable sins. Jesus says on two occasions that anger in the mind is like killing and lust in the mind is like adultery….how many people are murdering fornicators on a daily basis yet think because it’s intangible it doesn’t count?
That’s terrifying and will deservedly yield the sentence, “depart from me I never knew you”.

There is only one I in humans that we can truly do. The fact that I accept Christ. He gave us free will so you have to decide to give his life to him. That is the only "I did" that we as humans can do. Because it's the I that accepts His grace, His love His forgiveness or the I reject Him and suffer eternally. As for me I want Jesus in my life. I accept His power and glory. And I know that because of Him he created everything under heaven and earth and will come back soon.

I understand folks are complaining about the background music. If we are focusing on the message then the music is not a distraction at all.
You can keep the music in, as it is; nice and low background music and it does not take away from the message.
I quite like it. 🤗 It takes dicipline to focus on the message and not the music. Especially if you struggle with listening to secular music.
There is no purpose to the music, and for those really struggling, it can be a stumbling block. I know, I can't listen to it. One sequin too many, ruins the dress.

This awesome sermon was a very big eye opener for me, my tears matched voddies tears that I saw at the end. I've been praying for Jesus to help me to learn how to forgive properly. It was hard for me to understand how to forgive because I couldn't forget. I've been wrongly asking for me to mostly forget my sins so I could properly forgive myself and others. Wow, now I get it. This very sermon touched me so strongly and I am so very thankful that God put this video before me to watch. My Lord, My Savior, My Father, My Creator, I Thank you, I love you, I praise you, I need you..............

Pastor Voddie is the first and only teacher to touch my soul. I have listened to and witnessed many ‘christian teachers’ but none come close to this man of God. No shouting, no dramatics, just pure scripture, broken down for our understanding with real life contextual explanations. A true man of God, may he receive divine protection for the rest of his days.

Praying for you now against the witchcraft enable forces coming against your son. Play he be victorious in the lord's name in the spiritual battles. Read Ephesians 6 and go to battle for him in the spiritual realm. I'm praying for him now. Play also for the child and the mother.

Oh the irony of music being added to the background of this sermon. It’s like when worship leaders play soft guitar during prayer. Is a sermon or prayer more pleasing to God with this included, or is it an attempt to stir up the emotions of those listening? I would argue it’s the latter, and it’s a way of making us and our feelings the central focus as opposed to God’s glory.. Which is so much of what this wonderful sermon spoke to. We need to stop making worship about us and start making it only about God Almighty!

Who the Son sets free is free indeed, thank you Jesus! I missed God's plan for my life for so many many years, I thought my flesh made me special, the devil is such a liar, especially when you are young and naive. Hating yourself more every morning the evening after, but doing it again anyway, to just not be alone. Yes I remember it, and when I look back He was always there and that the special feeling was the Holy Spirit trying to wake me up, but I know that now. I will never forget it, but it does not lessen the pleasure of being with my husband, making love to him is like nothing from the past. Thank you Lord that what you join no man shall separate. Thank you Lord that we can walk in the boldness of the Holy Spirit without the shame of the past. Amen! God is, and Was and forevermore will be, Hallelujah! All glory God to the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Thank you for my Godly husband and godly children, it is such an honour to be called a Child of God!
