The pandemic was a difficult time for Mahi and her husband Majeed. Their little son fell seriously ill and to nurse him back to health, this young couple had to borrow a fair bit of money. However soon thereafter Mahi lost her job. Left with no recourse, she turned to her love for cooking and opened a small shop near her home in Akshayanagar, a distant suburb in South Bengaluru, where she serves Lucknowi biryani and kebabs made to her grandmother’s recipe at home. There’s only a table to seat four and a few regulars in the area who order takeaways. But business has been tough, and the young couple have been having a tough time trying to make ends meet and repay their loans. I received an appeal from Mahi, and after making discreet enquiries, visited them for a meal. While the tiny size of the shop, it’s no more than a kiosk, with a table outside to seat four, did surprise me, what floored me completely was the taste of the fare that is served out of Biryani Delicacy. I will definitely return for the biryani and the kebabs. And needless to say, you should visit too. To savour a unique Lucknow style biryani that has been tweaked a bit to suit Bengaluru’s palate, and to also support a deserving small enterprise.
Hope you enjoy this episode. Tackle care; stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

Being too positive is also boring..you have visited sooo many restaurants in Bangalore. I’m sure all of those you visited are not great or good either. We know you don’t want to hurt the owners but the truth is only some are making profit and that’s because they know the product and business.
I don’t see a point of watching your shows these days becoz it just becoming too repetitive ..: same appreciation across the board..: that’s not how a business grows!

I have immense pride in my home state of Karnataka. Regardless of where you come from within the country, it embraces everyone equally and provides opportunities to those who work hard. To those who come from outside, I kindly request that you respect the place and make an effort to learn the language. This is a simple way to show your love and appreciation in return. Thank you.

We take great pride in Karnataka and its beautiful language too. Perhaps you aren't aware that the primary language of my show is English as we aspire to connect to food lovers not only within, but also far beyond the borders of this state. I speak Kannada or the corresponding local language (if I'm able to) when someone is unable to converse otherwise. In this case too, we spoke English, which is the medium of the show. And Hindi, keeping in mind the provenance of the restaurateurs and of the food. It doesn't mean that they are unfamiliar or do not know at least a bit of Kannada. Perhaps they do, just that we didn't find an opportunity to find out. Hope you enjoyed the episode. Cheers!

Salutations to Lady Mahi ! You are a great chef who cooks from heart and naturally the taste of your delicacies will be royal ! May Almighty Allah bless you with all success in your endeavours!!
In fact you should rename your enterprise as Mahi's Lucknowi Biryani and go for chain of outlets in Bengaluru to start with and eventually a national chain of biryani outlets. You can even think of delivering biryani in the offices in and around Bengaluru. You have the potential and spark !! Take tips from Kripal Sir how to expand your business.

The resilience and dedication of the young lady who runs Biriyani Delicacy, despite losing her job and taking care of her 5-year-old son, is truly inspiring. Her Lucknow Biryani and kebabs look absolutely mouthwatering! Sending all my love and best wishes her way. May her hard work and talent continue to shine, and may Biriyani Delicacy flourish beyond imagination! 🌟 #SupportLocal #InspiringStories #BiriyaniDelicacy #WishHerAllTheBest

I find it so inspiring to see this lady and her husband with their little start-up fighting adversity and hard times with an original idea and sheer hard work. Mahi's efforts ensure that precious, priceless and ancient recipes from the days of the Nawabs is now made available to ordinary people of Bangalore. Mahi & Majeed epitomise the can do spirit of India and I wish them all the best.
I would also like to thank Mr Amanna for showcasing these small mom and pop outfits which would otherwise have gone unnoticed. The fact that your channel highlights these small establishments and not just the big names is in many ways the morally right thing to do. Mahi , if you mind making time and reading comments section. Kindly note the dissatisfaction some are expressing regarding your business. Firstly the language. Many are not sure whether you know Kannada or not. And are not willing to visit if you don't know really. It's your responsibility to learn the language of land you live in. Secondly , the pricing of your biryani for the ambience and service you're providing. We're well aware about the ingredients and spices you use for this delicate biryani. But somewhere it does feel a little expensive. So kindly note the issue you face , and take the comments section as your reviews and suggestions and try to work on it . Other than that you're working hard and well for your passion. Very appreciable. Wish you best of luck with your future ventures. 🙏

Kripal this is great and looking at the determination of Mrs. Mahi working for salary and loosing jobs given current scenarios is not the end of world but one can create their own enterprise by just picking up things that she has grown with. Amazing detailing of the food and this is something that Technology cannot change and I keep stating in my friends circle that As long as we have stomach and its requirement cannot be replaced or substituted for food.🙏👍🙏

Very sweet lady and very sweet family too. May they have well-being and all that they wish for. Kripal, you are doing such compassionate work, for so many people, that there is one very great danger: you may ascend to a biryani heaven, in your next life,; only the finest gram-fed mutton biryani, from Barbari and Sirohi goats, 5 x/day.
danger is that there may not be any yummy varieties of fish masala fry there, since this type of biryani marries uneasily with fish dishes on the side, especially the mackerel and neer dosa you love so much. Oh well...!
