After all those years, when I look back, I still see Witherspoon as one of the greatest blues singers. His music gives me joy and instantly gives me a groovy kind of feeling. So, thank you, Mr. Witherspoon, there is no one coming close to you these days.
Great clip of one of the best blues artists, thanks! The trio is a first rate as well - It's Harold Jones on drums and John Heard on bass, but anybody knows who the pianist is? He's excellent accompanist, but I don´t recognize him.......

I remember 1973, Jimmy Witherspoon in concert together with Eric Burdon.
There`s an album under the name Eric Burdon `Guilty` - but I can`t remember how many songs they sing together ?
*Jimmy Witherspoon* - August 8, 1920 - September 18, 1997 - Shared on Google+ & Facebook, August 8, 2018
Loved the music he & Eric Burdon put out together.
Bernice me too Eric Burdon is my favorit and has been since 1964 when he sung whit The original Animals.
PURE BLUES
J.W. is about the best vocalist who could really put jazz and blues together.
A bit "jazzier" that Big Joe Turner. But I think Big Joe Williams could sing with the same backing and arrangements as Spoon with no problem.
Excellent
