I can’t pick a favorite Avett brothers song- but this was the first I ever head and it just hits my core soul. Heard it in the 7th month of a cross country journey I took in my mid 50’s to figure out how to be me now that mothering is behind me, my old marriage was not strong and I just needed to find truth. This song told me all I learned on that journey. Thank you .

This is so beautiful. I love Scott and Seth Avett so much. I went to see the Avett Brothers in Waukegan, IL, about a month ago. Best show of my life. The following week I drove 3 hrs straight of out work (by myself) to see them again in Grand Rapids, MI. They have just touched me right down to the bones.

the simplest songs are always the most beautiful to me. Funny that here, it's a simple song about having a simple life. The chorus of just "I am happier with nothing. I am happier with nothing. I am happier with nothing" WOW. It could have just been that for 60 seconds and I would have felt moved. I hope these guys really live the meaningful, fulfilled lives that they sing about in their songs, because they have helped me in shaping my own.
