Among the Living is all killer no filler…Among the Living, Caught in a Mosh, I am the Law…three amazing tracks to lead off one of the best thrash albums of all time.
Salutations! What an excellent treat for a Friday, My Dudes! Sending good cheers to You and Yours, may You always be found amply blessed and never in want!
I love how you represent the guitars James’s explorer and Danny Spitz’s RR flying V Love both those albums. You can still hear the influence Dave still has in Metallica
I’ve been a fan of this genre since I was a kid. Once my dad introduced me to thrash metal, I couldn’t listen to anything else. I mean, Metallica is huge, and I still love them, but man, Anthrax? Their sound is insane-it’s got this relentless intensity that doesn’t let up for a second. Honestly, if I could just blast Anthrax all the time, I would. Just the beat alone is killer, but with those vocals? Out of this world. Both are masterpieces. Thrash metal is pure, raw art-a visceral masterpiece. It’s intoxicating.
Always felt like Anthrax never got the full love and attention they deserve. They have some if the greatest riffs of all time and completely brought the east coast scene to be on par with the west coast powerhouses
You have to admit that both LPs are brutal and I don't know which one has hurt my cervical spine more... but I still listen to Anthrax to this day... maybe Metallica less!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
A tough one! RtL wins in heaviness and influence. Among the living has one of the best guitar tones ever, killer breakdowns and is more fun to listen to I would say
The Among the living album is just amazing as with Ride but I was addicted to Anthrax's album and wore out the cassette tape in in 85 was it??... Brilliant stuff man...
It's odd because Justice is my favorite but I agree that RTL is their best front to back. There's a general claim that Trapped Under Ice and Escape are the weak links of the album, but I think Trapped is one of the best songs on the record. Escape provides some nice variety to the album, a catchy tune... not weak at all just different.
Both equally great LPs , just curious why you picked Metallica 2nd LP vs Anthrax 3rd LP and not their 2nd LP Spreading the disease ? I saw Among the living tour at two different times in 87 at the Aragon Brawlroom. Unfortunately I missed the Ride the lighting tour in 84-85. Luckily I did not miss the Masters of Puppets tour in 86. 🤘🤘
Good evening and thanks for joining me for some Thrash Metal !!
Great video Suffocater! Can you tell me what drum machine do you use pls? Keep up with the good videos

When I got my drivers license in 1988, these were two of many cassette tapes that never left my car.
I had a suitcase full of tapes in my trunk, plus my boom box that thing ate batteries like no one's business
Beneath The Remains had to come out of my car because it was causing me too many speeding tickets.
@@skaldlouiscyphre2453 Slayer makes me put the pedal to the metal.
Nobody on planet earth does guitar battles better than TheSuffocater! 2 of the most iconic albums to come out of the 80's, Nice fk'n work!

I'm so glad I was a teenager in 87, thrash was and is my favourite music, good stuff 😊
1984 vs. 1987 ... Both years rule!
Definitelty 1987 for me. Thrash was already fully developed, and crossover was at it's peak.
I wish i was alive during the 80s and 90s😭
84 vs 86 dumbass
Now that's an epic battle. Which one I'd choose depends on which day you ask me. Both are masterpieces of thrash!
Two amazing albums. 🤘

2 Legendary albums of thrash metal ...both in the top 20.
That bridge riff in "Trapped Under Ice" is one of my favorite riffs ever. As always, the winner in this riff battle is all of us!
Ooh I ain't heard some of these tracks in years. Good times man.

80s thrash metal - peak musical era?
Yes
You should have a million subscribers - just because of your hair alone! And the insanely tight riffing of course.
Both amazing!!! Nice one!

tim conway! still kicking ass after all these years!
Two of the greatest metal rhythm guitarists in James Hetfield and Scott Ian right there boys and girls!
A draw in greatness and I was there for both days of release!
It's great to see more uploads from you, but it's obviously not a competition between the 2, haha. Ride is too legendary!
In a commercial way it is, but musically I think one is better than the other over the years!
