its more so along the line of the whole concept of war being a tragedy. and when you see "the war to end all wars", its referring to the motivation of antarean emperor kalvin tau for starting the wars in the first place. he saw war first hand and he hated the idea of a species killing itself, so he wanted to destroy the concept of war as a whole. unfortunately, when he became emperor, he realised he was going to need to go to war in order to bring about this idea. he's deeply upset that his hand was being forced but he knew that it was going to be the war to end all wars.

The Old theme I feel represents the Early game battles, up until reaches the Columban campaign. This new theme I feel fits better with the later battles against Riaa, Tucana and especially Centauri. Just my opinion. Both themes still go hard.
This music reminds me of my hometown, Lashio, Myanmar It was once a beautiful city full of people but now only dusts, corpses, and remains of the houses that got destroyed I used to stroll in the market with strong smells of food, items but now its all just.... empty I used to walk in the sacred grounds of Mansu pagoda, Yan Tine Aung pagoda, Yan Aung Myin pagoda and it was full of people praying and like walking around but now the pagodas are nailed with bullets, artillery shells and damaged, forgotten of the beauty of it.... The roads were with full of cars, motorcycles and people walking around going about their normal day but now its empty with shell craters, corpses of once my friends, local people, relatives, family member.... Bridges destroyed, homes destroyed, almost 3/5 of the houses in Lashio got their belongings stolen by the thief, almost to the point of stealing every furniture and items except the house itself... The night time, people are afraid of going outside after 5 PM and dogs starving because their owner died or ran away because of the war, ate humans and howl before night, people are afraid of the spirits of once their lovers, family, friends, sons and daughters... who didnt made their way to survive this The city was so bright at night that it was a good time to wander around the city with a vehicle but now its dark like the town never existed or its just a small village by looking the whole view of Lashio at night... The city used to be full with people but now its just empty... There are still a few survivors(soldiers) in the city but they are in few numbers like 50 to 100 but they once used to be like 5000.... ITS A FACKING POINTLESS WAR LIKE 300 CIVILIANS KILLED AND 5000 SOLDIERS KILLED (BOTH SIDES REBELS AND MILITARY) FOR LIKE A CITY THAT STRETCHS LIKE ONLY F#CKING 6 MILES OF LAND( THE CITY'S SIZE IS SO SMALL LIKE ITS NOT A CITY BUT A TOWN) WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO WITH THAT 6 MILES OF LAND LIKE THATS USELESS This music reminds me and gave me nostalgia for my hometown... This new theme instills the hopelessness of the situation at hand. Antares is dangerous and nie unstoppable. And they now know it. There will be no more final stands or brave resistances. Just a grim march to the very ends of Centaura. Where we first were horrified at the cries for help, we now scoff even at the screams of men being cooked alive and blow apart limb from limb. There is no more glory in this war, Only the ever expanding ego of an imperialst reigime.
