John Deere Net Has the wide Green Band on the Right side of the Bale on a Deere Baler(rear load) on a Krone Baler it is on the Left side (front load) We Also modified the Simpson tables gearing to get the tables to run in unison, then added a Hydraulic Needle valve to speed up or slow down feed into baler, .....Also added spring assisted hay hold downs to prevent the the baler pickup from snatching the "Windrow" coming off the unrolling bale..... We do not use the Fluffer because it creates extra fines...... Sometimes You can set the feed and walk off and dbserve till its time to deal with the core.... We have a neighbor with cattle and all the clean up we throw it into a dump trailer and sell to him...

I break those cores down and they get baled. Its rare I don't break it down. Using the hay hook, I use it like the unroller and let it spin on the tines as in unrolls itself. Its pretty easy for me but I have done it over 40,000 times.

How much per ton are you selling the square bales for? And how much per ton could you sell the round bales for? And how much time does it take you to re-bale per ton?
How much do you estimate that you are earning per hour after taking into account for fuel and repairs and down time for jams, etc.?

Well I don't sell by the ton so I cannot do a breakdown from that. Also I cannot do an exact breakdown in everything because there are a lot of variations in expenses to rebaling with all the various equipment and setup. I plan on doing a more specific breakdown on future videos regarding costs. I do know if you go Hustler rebaling website they have a calculator to crunch some numbers. That may help in what you're looking for. I like your handle as trendinvestor. You must like crunching them numbers. lol.

I am a certified public accountant so I am used to using financial numbers to make business decisions. I also worked on farms for 4 or 5 summers back in the 80s when I was a kid bailing and stacking small square bales of hay.
I understand the concepts and reasons for converting round bales into small squares, but I am not convinced that it makes financial sense to do it that way. I do understand that it might make financial sense in some situations to do it this way

@@trendinvestor2893 For my specific setup and operation rebaling works for many reasons. It's not for everybody. That can be said for any type of business. I would do it all over again if I had to. Thanks for the feedback.
