Our mini baler has some of the same features as yours. I would like a sweep wheel on each side of the pick-up. It is hard to make a windrow narrow enough that it doesn't "eat out the middle" . We raked our 2.5 acers and recovered 6 additional bales. Made a total of 73.

I've been looking some into adding appropriate sized gathering wheels to the baler with no luck. I actually found a Canadian company that has them (for a UNREAL price) and quite rudely said they would NOT ship to US. I marked that company off my list to ever do business with. A set of gathering rake wheels for the mini balers would be fantastic....If I could find any.

I appreciate your review of this little bailer. This is what I'm thinking about getting. What type of grass does your fields have? I only have about 5 acres and am looking into getting some hay equipment to feed around 2 dozen goats. I have read that sericea lespedeza is good for goats and was thinking about mixing that into my fields of typical grass.

Thank you kindly! We grow cool season grasses mixed with Red Clover. Orchard grass is king here, with mixed fescue and Timothy.

Thanks for all the tips for using the mini round baler. I haven't used my mini round bailer yet. This will be the first season. Great fix for the bailing twine. The twine comes unraveled just sitting there. Too bad the roll of twine doesn't fit in the from compartment. I'm going to do this mod. About how many bales do you get off a roll of twine. Thanks

Ive never really counted, thats a good idea to keep track and see. It will depend on which wrap setting you have it in also.

@@ramirosolis2604 We bought this baler from Carver Equipment in Dunn, NC. However, theres a few Farm Maxx dealers across the USA. You can search for Farm Maxx and find a couple different ag dealers that sell them.

Hello Sir, I just purchased one of these Farmaxx balers. I had some issues with the twine unrolling unevenly. I like your idea of the 5 gallon bucket. I’ll try that. I wanted to ask you about how you fabricated the hitch to just use the top link for pulling it? I wanted to use the Quick hitch on my JD 3046 but the Q-hitch is too wide for the baler 3 point. Thank you for your time

Thing I always disliked about purchasing hay is u end up w weeds from another area that u really didn't want on ur property . I remember farming when growing up we filled silos baled hay for numeral farmers . I now have wild cucumber vines growing up by da free stall barn . That stuff will take over a large area . If there is a building near it'll literally cover it .

Very true! Need to be very careful buying hay...whats in that hay will sometimes end up growing in your pastures! Buy good premium hay and often those worries are alot less. Thats one reason we work so hard at weed control and preach to buy premium hay, not cheap weedy hay. Thanks for watching!

That baler does a nice job! How many hp tractor do you have to have to run it? I just have a kubota b2620 about 25hp. Thanks for the video!👍🏻

My knee would hurt from pushing the clutch in . My old Vermeer baler makes a 5 x 5 bale just rite. I move them with my 4010 John Deere and loader. Easy job! What kind of grass?

    • @8thdaychronicles

Redlands says this baler bales up to 100 bales per hour. Of course thats all dependent on how thick or thin your hay fields are, etc.
