The cold open call and response from Trading Places was fantastic, took it in stride and nailed the line too. I grew up with Eddie all over everything. He was an 80s phenomenon, on the same level that the film "Ghostbusters" was an 80s phenomenon. My personal opinion is that from 48 Hours, through Another 48 Hours, with the very rare exception, there were no true duds. He made some shitty films after that, and I was not really the target audience for the films listed as his comeback. Loved "Tower Heist" though. Anyway, no denying he broke serious ground, and... after a fashion, remained reasonably grounded, and came out there other side intact.
Guy deserves it.
