Great Work! I also live in Chicago and I love this city and I love to see the nice shots you took. Can`t even imagine how many hours you spent to get everything together. Again, Great Work !!!

Oh Chris! Oh my Holy Moly! It is no small feat to render ME speechless-- a daunting accomplishment by any measure................Chicago is The Most Beautiful City that I've ever seen - and I've seen more than a few in this country - and I do so dearly love this place. Do not for one second feel that any sliver of your time was at all wasted, and if you missed a frame here or there you can pick it up some other time. I agree that Chicago's people are unique and special in their kind approach to Strangers with a willingness to help them out whether they're having trouble on the street, if they've lost their way or the cab fare they had in their sock, or got stranded by their cousin who brought 'em around in the first place, without being made to feel they're being judged if they got too drunk to read the street signs. That you were involved in such a fascinating undertaking specifically to honor the City that they too love, I can easily envision a slew of passers-by fairly well lining up to help you and keep you safe while filming or setting up, or trying not to let yourself or your equipment blow away over the Lake. And this sort of thing I've seen myself, their busy schedules notwithstanding, at any ol' time of the night or day, in any season or condition of weather, with little or no regard for their own comfort at the moment of your need. Don't you think you should be submitting this motion picture {all I've seen of your fine work at this point} and others I'm sure, for a Pulitzer or something?!?!?! I say definitely this is the stuff of notoriety and recognition for your significant contribution to society, the Art World, Education....................at the very least! I was actually chasing another time-lapse recording of Chicago's architecture, et al, by Eric Hines - his "Cityscape Chicago II 4K", which also blew me away..........and which I only just discovered minutes ago after finding MOVOTO.COM's series of mind-blowing photos which they term the "30 PHOTOS OF CALIFORNIA THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO MOVE THERE", a collection by a variety of photographers, that no doubt you are already well acquainted with. And now I am seeing on the side of this very page that you guys are not actually exclusive........but who cares anyway. Not possible to get too much of THIS Good Thing! Anyway - I want to say thank you, congratulations, and if I were face to face with you, I would curtsey, or tip my hat or throw my skinny arms around you and give you a very large hug of appreciation. You GO, Girl. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work, right along with the rest of Chicago, and the aficionado's around the globe. Mazel tov!! Most cordially, Catherine {Cat} Wylde
My pleasure, Chris. I seem to gravitate toward bio-writing, and I appreciate the inspiration you provided, aside from the work of your art. {you ARE a female, right? it's what I took from reading your Intro.....but - please - correct me if I'm wrong} I'm getting ready to open a website soon to publish a cross section of my writing along with a page to sell things I've made by hand {beginning with scarves I've knitted, each a one of a kind, then pillows, aprons.....and more}. I'm in the middle of a move, and once I'm resettled I'll be offering sewing services in a slightly different sort of fashion than your typical tailor. I'm using WordPress and calling it "Bloggeramamama". I hope you will check it out when I get it published. I could certainly use someone with your photography skills, but I'm sure I couldn't afford you -- yet. Anyway - you are certainly most welcome, and I'll be looking for your future creations.
I do not know how my writing led you to a conclusion that I'm a female but that is ok. I guess this is a magic of internet. I am a male. I'm this guy on the picture with camera on the channel icon. I hope it's not disappointing and I will surely check out your website once is ready. I was so impressed with your first comment that I did not wanted to correct you about it. Thanks again for compliments.
Well then, let me begin by re-stating at least one thing to put myself right again, "You GO, Guy!" Ah hah hah ha ha ...... My assumption came from something you said about staying in {I'm paraphrasing here - } 'dubious places' all night long to get the footage you were after........and don't get me wrong - there are neighborhoods and street corners, dark alleys and shadow casting columns where some of my closest knee cap splitting comrades wouldn't be caught 'live slithering around alone in the wee hours of the city.........One of my husbands, way back when, {we worked some nights together at a bar, and whattya gonna do after closing but go unwind, so we'd go roam around the streets & the lakefront like a couple of cat burglars til we could feel our faces again & work up an appetite for a 4:00 am breakfast}; well Jimmy always used to say, "Cat - there's nobody out at this time but the Cops and the Crooks..........and I know we ain't the Cops........." Not that we were crooks per se, you understand.....never stole a thing but my own time at the end of this life.......but I suppose if there's one side of the law, then there must be at least another......... Anyway - I do digress, don't I? Imagine if you did that with your camera......well - the results could actually prove quite interesting - double exposure and all that. Anyway - I have yet to go find your face on your website to have a look......but I will very soon. I am actually in the middle of writing a piece on the Very Dearest and now sadly departed Leonard Cohen, and I just jumped off to review something on TH-cam for a quick second when I saw you'd left a message...... which was a bit of a Saturday afternoon delight, as was discovering your true gender........ always related better to the men and the boys..... tended to hang out with 'em as one of them, which they didn't seem to mind as I recall. {Jumping into a conversation about drag racing with a comment about synchromesh - that'll do it everytime......Hah!} Anyway - I do owe Dear Leonard the respect of finishing up my little contribution to his honor in a timely fashion...............Which - by the way - I just learned how to publish in Blog form without actually architecting an entire website, which I confess, I do not know how to do. But a miracle has occurred, and Bill Gates has just made it possible for me to publish, independent of the whole complicated structure, and this, today, will be my Very First Publication over the air waves without 'benefit' of enclosure within any other software medium {i.e. FB / LinkedIn, Twitter, em, im, etc. etc. and so forth}. It's still several hours away { I wouldn't stay up past SNL waiting for it}, but you should be able to find it under: Bloggeramamama.wordpress.com - I hope...... I don't know if you have to go in to "Sharepoint" or what. Let me know if you have any trouble - meanwhile, I will check it out myself. The Filename is: "Blog.111216.LeonardCohen.docx" and the title is: "LEONARD COHEN.......He's My Man" - Ta Ta for now.......MeCat - Cat {the} Wylde
:) That is totally understandable. Magic of internet can be very deceiving. I can't say that sometimes nights in Chicago weren't scary. Especially when I'm looking for really secluded spots to take pictures but ...... I was ok and it was woth it.:) Thanks.
The time-lapse works with a wide range of videos and techniques and a high degree of time had a wonderful look. Great! 多彩な映像とテクニックで次元の高いタイムラプス作品はとても見ごたえがありました。素晴らしい!
Well done, yet again! I don't know anything about what goes into making these clips but I can certainly see the increasing complexity. Even after seeing several of them, I'm delighted by some new effect you're using! I particularly love all the sun and moon sequences. It reminds me that our urban life happens within a greater natural context. Thanks!
Thank you Kimberly. That was my intention. Not only man made events interested me while venturing Chicago streets. I kept my fingers crossed for good weather when planning to capture astronomical observations on every occasion. To bad we can't see much stars. Would be super cool to photograph Perseids above skyline for example.
Thank you very much. I'm excited with the results and appreciation from viewers like you. This project required lots of time and patience to meet my expectations.
Maybe that's why you really should think about investing some money. I had this very same problem before. Putting an enormous effort into some of my videos and having 500-1000 views eventually. I have seen so may videos on TH-cam that were way worse but skyrocketed in terms of views and ratings compared to others, like for instance, this one.
Chris, I am "blown away" with the quality and creativity of your videos. You night shots are absolutely stunning. I wish I know how to take night videos like that. All I have is mt GoPro HERO 4 Black and SONY FDR AX-100. I'm struggling trying to learn how to video Christmas light decorations and fireworks. I'm subscribing and can't wait to see more from you. Many thanks for sharing your work. Mike
Will you be doing anything with the upcoming Christmas decoration lighting? I am still struggling with how to record decent night videos. I just came back for the Winterfest Festival in Pigeon Forge, Tn. and posted my video of the lights on my TH-cam CHannel. Question, I didn't think about it at the time but would using ND filters help any?
ND filters would be necessary to longer exposure pictures. I use ND filters in daytime time lapses. Filming at night is a little bit tricky and depends on your camera capabilities and settings. I switched to Full Frame Canon 5D to get better results.
A true Chicago trademark. Have sent video to friends inside and outside city. Read earlier DNA Chicago info and sent to friends on Facebook. An all the way classic presentation. Is this up for any type of awards, because it was masterfully well done?
Thank you very much for compliments. I would love to present this at some festivals but the biggest reward is to read all those positive comments I receive. This work makes Chicagoan's proud, fired up, amazed and I'm very thankful for that.
Thank you. I did my best to promote. It looks that you have to pay some company to expose you more. Creativity, hard work, sacrifice is not enough now days. Thanks for sharing.
Chris have done a wonderful job, this video on the city of Chicago is gorgeous and built in really professional manner. Thanks so much to create this video of pure beauty, with my best compliments to you. Best greetings to you from Renato Natali (Italy). I also follow you on Google+ (Google Plus). Chris let me know if you are also on Flickr, Pinterest, 500px (i am present in all of them), bye.
Both inspires me to keep shooting my timelapses (travhawkes(dot)com) and, at the same time, makes me wonder what the hell I've been doing. Bravo, amigo.
Comments like this also give me fuel to do more. I was in the same place watching some great time lapse movies couple years ago and never thought my work would inspire someone. Thanks man.

Absolutely amazing job on this!
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Oh hey Nostalgia Critic.
Spectacular!!! Visually amazing, emotionally grabbing.
Thanks man. You are making my day.
Best city in the world.
J.R. Productions Agreed:) Thanks
I haven't visited every city in the world yet, but I can say that of all the cities that I have visited in the US over the years, Chicago, by far, is the most beautiful city in North America. It's very clean, friendly, great restaurants and foods, one of the best (if not the best) symphonic orchestras on the planet, a great opera company, wonderful museums (be sure to visit the Art Institute Museum, it was rated as number one museum 4 years in a row by Trip Advisor for good reason), and world class architecture in many styles. It's mood and looks constantly change with the changing light and seasons. Europe has many fantastic cities too, plus so many centuries of history, walk down many streets and you walk in the footsteps of another age.

Sir,this is really impressive. Chicago you are wonderful...
Thank you very much.
To a native Chicagoan it isn't really exciting, but I guess it's a good way to show this great city of ours to people who have never been here.
But the editing... I'm speechless. Good job! No, scratch that... Amazing job!
Keep them videos coming!
You know - Chicago is constantly changing metropolis. I'm shooting time lapses for few years and it doesn't get boring to see the same icons of this cities beautiful architecture. Every time is never the same. That is what I love about it. Thank you for compliments.
This is the best video of Chicago I've seen..Super cool
Thank you very much.
Great Work! I also live in Chicago and I love this city and I love to see the nice shots you took. Can`t even imagine how many hours you spent to get everything together. Again, Great Work !!!
Thank you very much. It really consumed a lot of time but all the comments are truthfully rewarding.
Absolutely fantastic. The effort is returning dividends.
Thank you very much. Patience paid off. It took 8 moths to complete this piece but I had great time making it.
Once again, a masterful reinterpretation of our lives in the Windy City. I was just thinking about what it would really be like to fast forward (or fast reverse) through our lives.
That is a good question. Probably a lot of people would love to see it. Thank you very much for a good word.
That is just AMAZINGLY PERFECT! Oh my God! Thank you so much for this awesome video... A lot of great memories coming back and a homesick feeling... Congratulations for your job!
You're welcome. Thank you very much for your nice comment. Really appreciate it.
Sure thing :) but unfortunately this is not as easy as it used to be (going viral) and you most likely will have to pay for advertising

Thank you very much for compliments. I would love to present this at some festivals but the biggest reward is to read all those positive comments I receive. This work makes Chicagoan's proud, fired up, amazed and I'm very thankful for that.
AWESOME :)
Thank you

Thank you. I did my best to promote. It looks that you have to pay some company to expose you more. Creativity, hard work, sacrifice is not enough now days. Thanks for sharing.

There is always room for improvement. Thanks for watching.
Thanks man.

Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says: "These days, there are two sets of moral standards. One set of standards seeks to keep My Commandments and to please Me in every way possible. The other polar opposite form of moral standards seeks to please self and man. My Remnant chooses the morals which My Son came to earth to promote. His whole public image was one of encouraging mankind of their obligation towards obeying My Commandments, which is the embrace of Holy Love."
"Today, the majority of the world's population chooses the errant set of morals. They live to please themselves and the others who are stepping-stones to their selfish ambitions. My Will is like a dirty word to such as these. Free will has become its own false god."
"So, you see, My Remnant - though small - has a huge task ahead of them. I am dependent upon their prayers and sacrifices to oppose the evils of the day and to expose the evils of the present moment. Every phase of life - every purpose of life is under attack. You have only to listen to the news on television or other forms of media to recognize this Truth. Pray, My Remnant, for the strength to promote the morals pleasing to Me. This is the way to put an end to violence, loose morals outside of marriage and every form of transgression against My Commandments which this new morality promotes. You, My Remnant, are My Voice and My strength in the world."
Read 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15+
But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.
