What a fantastic video and a great resourceful job , I am going to do something like this with my T38 but I'm thinking of putting foam matting , that interlocking stuff under a piece of ply about a metre and a half by the width of the boat to sit my scuba tank on . This is our first dinghy and I'm not sure where to put a ladder to get back into the boat or the strongest method for fixing it ?? Any advice would be appreciated 😊
Thanks 🙏 I got the inflatable seat on eBay at the time however the buyer is fine now ☹️ however if you do manage to get 1 it’s the smaller 1 you need for a t38! I thought about getting a ladder myself however I wasn’t sure how to mount it so I didn’t bother lol
@@ryanferris7841 I'm off round Anglesey this weekend, gimme a shout if your ever over here, I'd love to go out on the sibs together. Honwave t38ie with tohatsu 20hp
Here you go- 12mm plywood 202 cm long 96 cm wide at the stern tapering down to 86 cm at the bow end! Make sure you notch out for the drain plug and cut to clear where the tubes join the transom! All above is a guide only as other t38s may vary slightly! I appreciate your support
Sorry I haven’t got the keel support measurements to hand I need to take the floor out to measure it which I will do and get back to you! Its just a piece of wood
Ha - nice job! What do you think the weight of all the flooring / bow is? would be interesting to know what it adds to the 48kg of the boat... Thanks for the video.
Great video Ferryman! Would like to do the same with my t38. To save a bit of time would you be happy to share dimensions for the floor? Happy to donate to your channel!

How is this going for you a few months later ? Is there anything you would approach differently ? Any issues with chaffing or debris. I got a t38 a month ago and this was in my mind when buying it .
Great - thanks for the response ! Good to know . I’ll give it a go. Not the biggest investment in the world .😂 I was thinking of a hard foam board rather than ply but will try the ply first ! Thanks again 👍
Hi Tom sorry for my bad audio, the tape is called eternabond tape!! That’s just a brand name, it’s basically an RV tape used mostly for sealing roofs 👍
Great job looks fantastic, very professional.
Thanks mate

I think it may be a case of putting a few D rings somewhere for a ladder , I'll have to check Google for D rings and glue ?
Thanks 😉👍
thats an AWESOME build mate, very well done
Thanks a lot buddy, I can’t wait to get it in the water

Hello.Nice Job. I have a question. What kind of wood do you use? What is the bridge under the board for and what are its dimensions? Kind regards
